Came on a friday around lunchtime. Located at the Enclave with plenty of parking. This place had nice vibes and great customer service. I bad the special that came with chicken and corn or edamame and a lemonade and choice of which onigiri. I had the salmon mayo which was delicious. The chicken came with 2 small pieces. It was breaded well and cooked fresh but felt like it was missing a sauce or something. The corn was seasoned nicely and cut in half. The lemonade was also amazing. It wasnt too sweet and sour which I liked. Refreshing! They were slow on getting our food and others who were there for awhile. I used to not like matcha before trying this, but you can tell the difference with the quality ingredients they use with their drinks and their food. Im a sucker for a good musubi and was pleasantly surprised with my two musubis today! I tried the beef yakiniku and the avocado and tofu. The beef in particular was so flavorful! Both had a lot of filling and tasted homemade in the best way possible. The wrapping was a little confusing (im used to good old plastic wrap and putting the nori on yourself!) but the directions on the bottom of the package were easy to follow. My only complaint was the wait. We came on a Saturday around 2:30 pm, ordered quickly, and then waited around 15 min for our order which felt long! read more

Wish there was more filling though. It was nicely seasoned. There isn't a lot of crab. Overall, pretty pricey for what you get... I mean $7 to $7.50 for a rice ball is crazy for me. This place is a cut above store bought musibis. It's a good snack, but I would not say it's something to replace a meal. In terms of it's ratio, there is so much rice, the problem is that the rice isn't seasoned well or at all - at least use some mirin or salt! (Sesame seeds and furikake isn't too expensive right?) The salmon roe musibi, most of the musibi had no roe, they place all of it onto one side which did not lead to a balanced bite. As stated earlier, too much rice before you get to the center - the rice needs to be fun to eat too! The crab meat one was nice and balanced, the tarako was evenly spread unlike the salmon roe musibi. Of all three I tried today, the crab meat was most tasty, but again, too much flavorless rice (I give them props for the texture being correct though). The beef sukiyaki musubi is not a trational flavor offering, but it had the same problem as the salmon roe: the egg was off to the side and not mixed/blended well! So you would bite one end and then the other to get the flavors together. Overall better than grocery store musibis, it is just lacking in blending the ingredients and the rice needs flavor! read more

My husband and I visited during the grand opening! (so a delayed post). The event was honestly spectacular with a dj, prizes, and free food. The staff did an incredible job serving everyone and being so caring. We ordered the yakuniku beef and the salmon musubis. The quality of the meat was excellent, but I did notice a lot of rice. I don't know if I would order this over going to the grocery store (even though I can taste a difference in the proteins). What did leave a major impact was the quality of the matcha. I was so surprised by how rich and pure tasting my drink was. It felt like I was back in Japan during a tea ceremony. I would absolutely come back for another matcha. We happened to be at The Enclave during Omusubi's grand opening weekend, so we decided to give it a try. They were running a promotion where purchases over $30 came with a free matcha latte, I chose the hot latte option. We shared four omusubi flavors: Yakiniku Beef, Avocado Tofu, Salmon Roe, and Shrimp Tempura. Overall, they were all quite tasty, though the beef was a bit chewy. I especially liked that the seaweed was packaged separately, keeping it crispy instead of getting soggy before eating. We also added the grilled corn and fried chicken as side dishes. Both complemented the omusubi nicely. As for the free matcha latte, I'm not sure if it was because of the promotion, but the drink was surprisingly small, more like a kid-sized portion. Overall, I think Omusubi is best suited for a snack, light meal, or grab-and-go option rather than a hearty meal. I came for the Grand Opening on 05-23-2026. They were super organized and had different entertainment areas! I was #40 in line. Prior to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, the first 50 were called to return to line up. This restaurant is located next to HiroNori Craft Ramen at The Enclave. If you prefer indoor seating, you can go to the building where there are more shops as well as a large indoor seating area. They are giving the first 200 people in line 2 Omusubi, a side, a drink, and a sauce. There was a hiccup with my order because I opted for alternative milk. All the orders like this were delayed. They called 15 orders past my number before I asked about mine. My bag had been sitting on the counter waiting for my drink. Grand Opening only, I hope! I took my food out to the indoor dining area in Building C. I first removed the Mt. Fuji shaped Omusubi! I was glad to see that the Omusubi had the Seaweed pre-wrapped separately waiting for you to assemble it yourself when you are ready to eat it! The rice was fluffy and soft and the Salmon & Roe filling was delicious! I do feel like this is a premium Omusubi! I brought home the Crab & Tarako to eat later. I didn't really care for the fried chicken side, probably because it was cold. The picture shows 3 pieces, but my container only had 2. The Sriracha Mayo was good. It had a tiny bit of detectable heat. I'd probably skip the Chicken next time. I feel that for the quality of the Omusubi, $7.50 is worth it. You can save money if you order the two or three deal. I came on Grand Opening Day. So many festivities happening. They gifted the first 200 with 2 musubi, a side and matcha. I arrived around 9:20 am and was number 186 and 187. Waited about 2 hours, but plenty of things to do while I waited. When we finally arrived to the counter, we were asked to choose two musubi each. We got the beef sukiyaki, crab and tarako and 2 salmon and salmon roe. We could also choose a side, chicken or corn. We opted for chicken. We also got to choose a hot or iced matcha. I've had onigiri/omusubi from Asian markets before where they're pre-made and refrigerated, but having it fresh and hot is a completely different experience. The onigiri prices are about $7 - $7.50, but if you get their combo, it lowers the price to about $6 each. While I do understand the quality of the ingredients, I believe the prices are a bit steep for the amount of filling they put in the onigiri. Three rice balls I ordered were the beef sukiyaki, crab meat & tarako, and salmon & salmon roe. The beef sukiyaki highlight was the 4-day marinated egg yolk in the center of the onigiri. Other than that, there were barely any pieces of meat in the actual rice ball. The crab meat and tarako, on the other hand, had more filling in them. Each bite was flavorful, and surprisingly contained real crab meat rather than artificial. The salmon and salmon roe onigiri sadly had a similar issue to the beef sukiyaki. It just lacked the salmon amount, not making it worth $7.50. I do understand that the employees are still under training, so I give their service the benefit of the doubt. We were excited to try this place, but unfortunately the service and order handling were disappointing. We ordered three omusubi during a quiet Sunday afternoon and waited quite a while. They were labeled incorrectly, so my kids ate the wrong ones and we had to return to the restaurant. More concerning, one of my children has a seafood allergy and was given shrimp instead of beef. Thankfully, I caught the mistake before they took a bite, but this could have been very serious. We also ordered a lunch set promoted by the cashier, only to be told they were out of the included lemonade and that we would have to pay extra to upgrade to another drink. The restroom was also out of order. The food concept is promising, but they need better-trained front-of-house staff and a much more reliable kitchen system for labeling orders--especially when food allergies are involved. read more

I've had my share of delicious onigiris. I've even had them made by legit mamas in Japan years ago. But I hadn't had a warm onigiri. Ever. And wow. Leveled up onigiri for sure. Truth be told, husband was more enthused about a place focused on just fresh onigiris opening up in the South Bay than I was. I mean, I can just hop over to Tokyo Central and get our onigiri fix on. But I highly highly recommend you try a fresh onigiri from Omusubi at least once. At least once and you may just get hooked. The staff to the newly opened place was warm and on it. And served us delicious, onigiris. We happened to get to chat with the owner and chef and decided to try their signature matcha when we found out it was from Kyoto. Definitely worth it. Stopped by for takeout and had a bit of a mixed first impression. The greeting wasn't particularly friendly, and I didn't really feel welcomed. Maybe it was just an off moment, so I wouldn't judge the whole experience based on that alone. Ordering was easy. They call your number when everything is ready. I ordered around 4:13 PM and received my order at 4:23 PM, so about a 10-minute turnaround. The Crab Meat & Tarako (cod roe) omusubi was very good. The amount of gu (filling) was generous, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The rice itself was excellent quality and clearly freshly made, although it was almost a little too fresh and soft for omusubi--the rice started to plop out while eating. I personally prefer rice that's had a little time to set and become slightly firmer. The Salmon & Roe also had a generous amount of roe and tasted very fresh. I thought the salmon could use a little more coarse salt or another subtle accent to bring out its flavor. Something like yuzu shio or even a touch of garlic rayu would be interesting. The nori had a surprisingly good crispness, although at this price point, I'd love to see them step up to an even better-quality nori. With the amount and quality of the filling already being quite good, premium nori could really elevate the whole thing. The lemonade was very good--not overly citrusy or tart. It had a light lemon-candy type of flavor, but softer and nicely balanced. The shop itself was extremely clean, which I really appreciated. One thing I didn't realize until I was already waiting was that they have an app. I didn't notice much promotion for it, so that seems like a missed opportunity. The advertising at the front also made me initially think this was more of a drink shop than a place specializing in food/omusubi. Would I come back? Yes. Probably not all the time, though. Three omusubi are around $18, or roughly $6 each on average, which is a little expensive for something traditionally considered a fairly simple food. That said, the generous amount of filling and freshness help justify the price. Overall, the food is the strongest part of the experience. You'll have to suffer in the heat during the summer! Staff was super friendly. It's definitely not cheap, so I got 2 onigiris, the salmon and the recommended beef sukiyaki over the yakiniku one. I love that it's made to order, wrapped so that the seaweed and the rice separate each other until you're ready to tear it apart to keep to keep the seaweed crunchy. Not too much flavor for both and not too much filling either. I got way more bites of rice than filling. I also wish there were more choices for fillings as well. Not sure I'd come back to try the others, since I wasn't full after two of them. It just seems a lot to pay. O Mu Subi is an absolute gem in the Enclave and easily one of the best new spots in the Torrance/Gardena area. I came primarily for the matcha, and it did not disappoint. The matcha is sourced from Kyoto, and you can immediately tell that quality and preparation matter here. The woman preparing our drinks was incredibly meticulous with every step. When she handed us the finished matcha, she even bowed, a small gesture that reflected the care and hospitality behind the experience. I ordered the unsweetened matcha (not a latte), and it was outstanding: silky smooth with no sediment, rich in flavor, and remarkably balanced. As impressive as the matcha was, the real surprise was the onigiri. Both the spicy tuna and beef sukiyaki were excellent. Each one is made fresh to order with warm rice, and the balance between the fillings and rice is spot on. A quick tip: follow the wrapper instructions carefully (pull tabs 1, then 2, then 3) to keep the nori intact. It's worth the extra few seconds. Yes, the onigiri costs more than what you'll find at nearby Japanese markets, but the difference in quality is obvious. The ingredients, freshness, and preparation justify the price. I was so excited to try the Beef Sukiyaki omusubi. After a few bites of only rice, I decided to bite one of the corners for a taste of the beef. To my utter disgust, as I was chewing, I noticed that there was a black looking string intertwined in the meat. It didn't look like a shredded beef piece. I pulled out the "string" and lo and behold, it was a black, inch-long, human hair. I am utterly shocked that there can be hair mixed INTO the beef filling. I threw the rest of the omusubi away. I tried to call the restaurant at least 10 times but no one has answered. This is awful and I warn other customers to check their food before they take a bite. I also want grilled corn but was told it would take awhile so had to change that order. So went with rice flour chicken karaage. They do make to order so the musubi rice was still warm. We tried three onigiris as part of the trio combo. The filling was very light, it was mostly rice. The crab was soooo fishy, we couldn't finish it because that's how bad it was. The chicken was lacking too, we got the last order of the chicken and the portion was crazy. Ridiculous how it was $5.50 for 3 tiny nuggets.
