Really glad we got to try this place! It's hard to find a Malaxiang guo spot in Torrance/gardena. we always have to drive super far. The spot used to be a chicken spot that they taken over.we had a chance to chat with the owners they were super nice. The service is fast and the food hits the spot. The place is clean and there is plenty of parking! I love how it's kinda like a sports bar vibe, we went to watch a FIFA game, there was TVs, drinks and of course good food. We only tried two dishes but can't wait to go back and try more!

I'm so glad to have malatang and Malaxiangguo near us in Torrance/gardena. I'd have to drive to Buena Park or known for this so super glad i can cure my craving without the drive. I only tried a few items but will definitely go back to try the others. Service is fast and good. Restaurant is a g decent aize so service is super fast. Food comes out at a decent time without waiting too long. Ambiance, it's a a sport ish bar. They have TVs and was playing the World Cup games when I went. The location is a bit hidden but I think this will be my new go to spot!

Food: Ordered Malatang and Street Squid to share, and both were great. The Malatang, which feeds two people, had a nice heat to it (take caution, those who are heat intolerant) and a nice assortment of ingredients. The Street Squid was addictive and tender. Overall, great first impression. Who knew this little gem was sitting in our backyard! Service: No complaints! We were waited on by two guys, who checked in on us a few times. Ambiance: Casual, modern, retro. Parking: Limited parking. Street parking available.

I absolutely LOVED the ambiance of this little restaurant/hidden pub! The parking lot might feel a bit sketch but once you're outside, the vibes are cozy and intimate! Personally wasn't a big fan of the food since I prefer bolder flavors but the warm malatang hit the spot and wasn't spicy at all!

Hidden gem alert! Open 8 months ago. Stumbled upon ATTO and it totally exceeded expectations. If you're craving Korean/Chinese comfort food, this spot hits the mark. The vibe is cozy with K-pop playing in the background, which somehow makes the whole experience even better. The portions are generous--honestly enough for two people to share. We ordered the seafood scorched rice soup, which was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. That crispy rice at the bottom soaking up the broth? So good. We also got the sweet chili Korean fried chicken, and it was perfectly crispy with just the right balance of sweet and heat. What would pair well with your meal is soju but don't worry alcohol is coming soon. Everything tasted fresh and comforting, like the kind of meal you leave feeling happy and full. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to. If you're nearby and looking for something casual but delicious, ATTO is worth checking out!

Fantastic late night spot in between LA and Long Beach. Perfect for a late night meal; dining out with friends; and it has a date-friendly atmosphere. This "search for soup near me"turned adventure, was not without treasure. With a cozy atmosphere, great service, beers ... it was magic. The menu items were unique, hot, and absolutely delicious. It is located close to the freeway, too. However, if it were not, I'd travel to go.

While staying close by at a hotel at lax, needed some good food late night. Atto hit the spot! Beers and soju, malatang and fried pork all hit the spot, good to know we found this place!

I forgot what this is called but it's the crispy fried pork, it was sooooo goooood

came here w my mom and cousin cus I saw reviews about their malatang and it didn't disappoint! We came here at like 815 and it was empty! The food is really good but there was no one here! I was a bit shocked but this location is actually not a very good location in Gardena for a restaurant business. I hope they last though! I've seen this place change business like 4 times over a span of only a few years. Anyway, the malatang is really good. The broth is catered to more Korean taste buds so it's less herbally than the usual malatang. We also got the dakhanmari which means 1 chicken in Korean and they put a whole chicken in broth and cook it that way. I'm not a fan of chicken that's not fried, but it was okay and the broth is very clean and refreshing. They also give you 부추 kimchi and regular kimchi on the side for it. The crispy pork skin thing was my favorite. I forgot what it's called on the menu but it's basically 탕수육. The inside is really cute and vibey. Has a more modernized pocha feel. Service was good but we were the only ones there LOL! Shoutout to the guys that were there, hope your restaurant thrives cus this location is tough.

Try the mala hotpot its very tasty! Come with plenty of meat and veggies. Enough to share for two people. The location is clean and staff is nice and attentive. Seem like it may be a popular place to hang out at night for drinks and food,

Everything was delicious, delicious and delicious. The spicy pork with tofu was super delicious Seriously, all the dishes were amazing. I need to go back again and eat the remainder of the dishes I didn't have. The four that I tried during this visit were superb. Service was good. And the place was very clean.

Solid Korean/Chinese pub restaurant! We came here with a group of 3 and parked on the street since there wasn't any parking in the small lot. We ordered and shared the - Garlic soy pork rib (4/5) very flavorful but not as tender/fall off the bone as what people or menu was saying - Army stew (5/5) so flavorful and comforting. Would order again - Malatang (4/5) definitely spicy and I like spice. Could feel the numbing effects of the spice so didn't drink as much soup but contents were good. We kept refilling out waters in the front Friendly service and homey spot, I'd come back when they have their alcohol license for beers/soju!

Tried this place after having it on my list for a while. Tteok bok ki is one of my favorite dishes and has been since I was a kid. Was stoked to try it here. While it wasn't the worst, it wasn't the best. $20 for the dish was somewhat reasonable. But the rest of our food was $35-$40 per dish. We wanted the fried chicken but they were out. We ordered a dish with glass noodles and when it came out without it, they said "we're out of that too". Would have been nice to tell us that at the beginning. Also if you only have 8 - 10 items on your menu, it feels wild to be out of ingredients. Overall I'd say the place is a one and done. If the dishes they have hit a nostalgic soft spot for you, maybe it's worth it. But for the price and what's on the menu, I don't think I'll go back.

The one with all the steam dishes was so pushy but she had the Hao Goa (Shrimp dumpling) and chicken feet which we usually get. Food was not piping hot to begin with. Wrapping for Shrimp dumpling was mushy and a bit on the thicker side. All the other dishes were not memorable and nothing to write home about. But overall just not up to PAR. We asked the pushy cart lady if she had beef tripe and she said they could put in an order to get it steamed. The tripe never came but it was on our bill. So be sure to check your bill.

We ordered the xiao long bao, broccoli beef, beef rolls, and chicken chow mein. The xiao long bao was excellent with a good amount of soup in each dumpling, and the beef rolls were probably my favorite item, especially dipped in a mix of black vinegar and soy sauce. The broccoli beef had a nice flavor, though I wished it had a little more meat. The chicken chow mein was the weakest dish for me: the noodle texture was great, but the overall flavor didn't stand out as much as I expected. Ordering was easy and the menu was very approachable thanks to the pictures. The restaurant is on the smaller side, which actually made it easier to get a server's attention when needed. Food also came out pretty quickly. The ambiance is straightforward and comfortable -- nothing fancy, just a solid neighborhood restaurant. Because it's small, you may have to wait if it gets busy, but tables seemed to turn over quickly thanks to the fast service. One practical tip: the portion sizes are bigger than they look. Beef Chow Fun: The seasoning was super flavorful, and the glossy, but non-greasy sautéed thick rice noodles had a perfect texture. The beef pieces were tender, and the portion of bean sprouts was just right without overcrowding the dish. Wonton Soup Noodle: The thin noodles were perfectly al dente. The broth was light but flavorful. The wontons had nice thin wraps, and the fillings were well seasoned and with pleasantly firm consistence. We left the restaurant feeling 110% full and satisfied. But it has been about 30+yrs since, waaaaayyy before my Yelp years! (SIDE STORY: My GodMom and grandparents used to live a couple of blocks away from here and we often ordered food here back in the day.) They are incredibly popular. All their tables were occupied (granted, there were only three or four) but patrons coming through were non-stop. Staff were efficient as well because given the line (there were three people ahead of me) they got us outta there pretty quickly. I went for half white rice, half noods, black pepper chicken and fried chicken/wings. (NOTE: they packaged the wings separately so it doesn't get soggy from the black pepper sauce - love this!) They were good at providing disposable utensils as well as sauce packets. It didn't take long before I was on my way back to work. Noods had nice flavorful chew. Rice was fluffy. Fried chicken/wings was crispy and savory with a slight hint of sweet. But the black pepper chicken was AM.A.ZING!!! There was so much flavor packed in every bite and couldn't get enough of it! There wasn't a lot of fillers either, so that's a plus. Highly recommending this! FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 5. They give you enough for a second meal. PARKING: Lots of space shared with others. Not an issue. OVERALL: 4.5. I couldn't stop thinking about the black pepper chicken that I just had to come back the next day to have it again. Paired it with orange chicken on that second run. Not as great, but it is one of their more popular items. (Most people ahead of me ordered it and the pan got refilled during both visits.) So it was a delight coming through here again as it brought back tons of memories. I even remember making many stops at the laundromat next door. Also drove by my auntie's old house. Ahhhh, good times! I shall return! If only for the delicious black pepper chicken!
