Unfortunately, neither lived up to expectations. We started with the "jumbo" wings, which were anything but jumbo. We received only flats, and they were some of the smallest wings I've ever been served. After bringing this to the staff's attention, we were told the manager would take 50% off the order. However, when the bill arrived, we were informed that the manager had already left and the discount could no longer be honored. Instead, we were given only the $4 happy hour discount, despite being promised otherwise. For our entrées, we ordered the brisket sandwich and the half chicken. Neither was worth ordering. The chicken lacked the crispy texture it was advertised to have, and the brisket was bland and without flavor. The sandwich was also supposed to come with truffle fries, but instead we were served cold, plain fries. After mentioning it, the solution was to bring us a side of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese and ask us to mix it ourselves. The service was equally disappointing. We asked our server twice for drink refills, but she never brought them. We eventually had to flag down another server just to get our beverages refilled. Overall, this was a frustrating dining experience from start to finish. Between the poor-quality food, unfulfilled promises regarding the bill, and inattentive service, this restaurant fell well below the standard I would expect from a Miami establishment. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues because the current level of food quality and customer service is simply unacceptable. and quality is embarrassing for miami.

I can't think of another place that has put that much thought into every dish. I also loved how fresh everything was. Even the leaf on the my cocktail was the farm. It cannot get any fresher than that. The cocktail I tried was the Watermelon Sugar High and it was so delicious. They also brought me an extra dessert with a candle for my birthday. I loved this thoughtful thought. The service was excellent. Our plates and utensils were replaced after every dish. The table was also cleaned between each round of food. This small gesture can make a big difference. The whole staff was attentive to our table despite the restaurant being full and I absolutely loved that. I also liked how the kitchen has a clear glass so you can see the chef cooking but without getting the smell. Overall, this was a spectacular experience. I absolutely loved everything about it. They're down a badly-maintained staircase behind the host stand, through an untidy/messy lobby (we saw piles of dirty towels and someone's bike). The women's bathroom smelt terrible, like they hadn't emptied the trash in days. The floor was filthy, one toilet had leaked, and there was no soap. Such a terrible shame, it let the whole experience down.

So, I'm doing the tourist thing with my new fiance', and we stop in there cause they had an elevated dining area right above the street. What can I say, it looked nice. Now I know what the fly felt like in the Venus Fly Trap!!! Holy Crapp.. Don't do it...Don't eat here, expecially with company. Talk about poor food. YUK! When you walk by, there is a nice looking chick or maybe a "Ricky Martin in a smock" looking guy, who temps you to sit for drinks and dinner. So I sat down with my girl, and ordered a couple simple drinks. We orderded the lobster rice pilaf for two. It's their signature dish. OH MY GOD!!!? Ask me if it was nasty! Whutt??? Here's what it tastes like. Step (1). Take a tiny freezer burned lobster tail, cut in half, and pour margerine, and Tony Sacheries seasoning on there and grill it. Step (2) Take a pack of frozen veggies with pea carrots, mix it with bland yellow rice, and tiny frozen popcorn shrimp, and little bits of frozen mussels, dotted with green onions. and drenched in vegetable oil, and Whallahh.!! Then then serve it up with hard, cold rubbery, oil soaked "garlic bread", and you have what amounts to there premier seafood pilaf rice dinner for two. If it wasn't for the alchol in the poorly assembled drinks, We would of barfed on the food right there at the table! I'm telling you the truth people, if you are expecting a real meal, go elsewhere. Do you know they had the nerve to charge me $162.54. Yeah, of course I paid it, right?..Only cause I felt compelled to, in order to avoid making a scene, and bitch-slapping the waiter. The food was not good, and definitely not worth the prices, Please do not eat here. Double Tipping!!! DO NOT EAT here! They will screw you! When I got my bill it only had the final amount listed on it and a place to add a tip. There was not itemized receipt. But I knew from being in South Beach many times before that most places add a 20% tip automatically and call it a "service charge." I couldn't find my waiter so I asked another waiter who was working if the tip was included and he acted like he didn't speak any English, but I knew he did because I had just recently seen him talking to other customers. Anyway I eventually found my waiter, who sucked by the way, I think his name was Gustav or Gustavo or something like that, and asked him if the tip was included and he told me NO. I was suspicious. I then asked him if they had already added a 20% service charge onto the bill and he said yes, but that it goes to the entire staff and he acted like he wouldn't be getting a piece of that pie so he added that if I wanted to tip him personally I certainly could. So, BE WARNED, this trick plays out every day at a lot of South Beach restaurants and bars but the On Ocean 7 Cafe at the Majestic Hotel on Ocean Drive took it to a whole new level. read more

Where do I start? Where do I begin this bizarre story of twists and turns down the road of deceit??? Spending the holidays in Florida it was the perfect trip. We decided that we would eat "fresh" fish our last night. Walking down the beach, we were persuaded by the hostess at On Ocean 7. She offered us a 20% discount on our meal AND free bottle of wine AND dessert!!! We should have know this was too good to be true......we asked how much the seafood platter was and she told us $35.00. Our server was less than attentive. We could not get her attention to order much less get our check. When the check did arrive our seafood platter was $175.00!!!!!!!! WTF - I almost had a heart attack. I asked to speak to the manager. He admitted his employee the hostess told us $35.00 but that he would NOT honor the price she told us! Thank God my daughter has this all on video camera!!! We have filed a formal complaint with the DA office and Better Business Bureau! It is my hope that this place will be shut down!!!!!!! This restaurant is one of the best restaurants on South Beach. I was here 6 years ago. We were walking by, and at first, we were , like no but then we decided to set down. BEST decision of the whole trip. The food was unbelievably amazing. So much flavor the prices were very reasonable for what we got... ( Keep in mind that all the restaurants in Miami automatically add service charge.) If you are on South Beach and you sit down for lunch, it will be the best decision you make. Years later you will be remembering this restaurant because you can't wait to eat here again. When I booked my ticket to Miami. 6 years later, my #1 restaurant to go back to was this one. The food was better than I remembered. Jeffery, the manager, was so attentive and smiling the whole time going around all the tables to make sure the food and service was excellent... **Second Visit, But Disappointing This Time** This was our second time dining at this location during our vacation, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to our expectations. The fried calamari was a major letdown--it was so tough and chewy, almost like rubbery gum. Definitely not something we'd order again! As for the chicken tacos, they were underwhelming. Honestly, Costco's pre-made tacos have more flavor and better texture. I get that we're on Ocean Drive in Miami, where prices and tourist spots can be hit or miss, but this was below par. A little more attention to quality would go a long way. The only redeeming part of the experience was our waiter. He was friendly and did his best despite how busy it was during peak hours. We appreciated his effort, and the service was decent overall. Sadly, the food just didn't match the vibrant energy of Ocean Drive. Service with a smile! I'm staying nearby through New Years Eve, but only this morning did I try this "007" option. I enjoyed a large Steak & Eggs & Asparagus, with a double espresso. I was one of the first customers to sit down this morning, right on the sidewalk patio along Ocean Drive. Premium seating! Within five or ten minutes, the inside and outside tables were almost all taken. My impression was that they don't take reservations. I'm relaxing on holiday, so it was appreciated that no one ever rushed me to leave and clear the table. The servers kept re-filling my water glass until I was ready to go out for my first South Beach Walk of the day. Btw, the hours may be in flux, but I was told that they are open from 8:30 AM through 1 AM. Also, the prices were certainly reasonable compared to most of the nearby restaurants that I've looked at. read more

THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!!! The hostess told us the seafood platter was $35. She offered us free dessert and bottle of wine. When we got our check the seafood platter was $175!!!! We asked to speak to the manager and he admitted that she told us the price of $35 but that he would not honor it! I got him on video admitting that he would not honor the price his employee told us. Sebas was our server. He was very helpful and attentive to us during our meal, as well as the rest of the staff. The ambiance is a very sleek, clean, and modern design. This cozy restaurant has cushions and pillows that support you as you dine. The food was excellent, arriving at a fantastic time. I ate with my family and I had a bite of everything. The fish tacos are delicious and cooked perfectly. I usually don't eat fish, but the fried catfish supported by the other ingredients in the tacos made for a beautiful symphony of flavors. The paella was made to perfection and the fettuccine alfredo was creamy and delicious. And the mango mojito was the perfect drink to refresh me after a long day the beach. The service is exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who really make you feel welcome. The frozen pina colada (medium size, but trust me, it's more like a large) is an absolute must-try! It's the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing. As for the food, everything we tried was fantastic. I had the Tropical Ceviche. It was my first time trying ceviche, and I'm officially a fan. This place is outstanding. My boyfriend and I came here for his 21st birthday. This place did not disappoint. We came here for brunch Saturday & some drinks and my meal was absolutely delicious and not pricey at all. They had a great deal for the two large drinks for 35$ (a small is 19$ each) so it really was a deal, & breakfast was honestly probably the best I ever had. I got the two eggs, toast, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. So yummy. My drink was delicious too I had absolutely no complaints and even ended coming back for breakfast Sunday it was THAT good. Despite bad reviews, I think that next year this will we our spot. We found the food to be tasty, the staff was friendly and we really love to have a corner view from almost every seat in the restaurant. I think that the prices are fair for south beach, which can be pricy some times. I highly recommend this place. Some of the pastas are home made and you can tell, my favorite " the linguini with clams". Came by tonight for dinner with friends and family. Marlon has been an excellent server! He made sure that we had drinks, appetizers and everything our hearts desired for a night on Ocean Drive! He was attentive, respectful, and caring of my party. Marlon took time to answer all the questions we had. I'd been here about 2 years ago and couldn't find the location, but my brother was insistent on finding this place again and were so happy we found it. It was worth every cent. Ocean 7 was inviting and next to the action of South Beach, Miami. They were ready to serve you and had their open tables ready - clean with cloth napkins and silverware. Our server was Federico he was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious our daughters had french toast and Belgium waffle - plates decorated with fresh fruit and mint leaves. My husband and I had eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and toast which was also delicious. When in Florida have to have the fresh squeezed orange juice very refreshing. Our last day in Miami and heading to the airport after we find for Key Lime Pie. We'd checked at Avalon (closed for lunch) and Stone Crab Joes was too far to walk because we were a little rushed. Strolled along the restaurants on Ocean Blvd inquiring whether key lime pie was on the menu and this place had it. Staff was super friendly snd the restaurant itself was very cheerful snd welcoming. We were seated at the bar and we even got to meet the owner and had a very fun conversation with him. All we had was a slice of pie each and it was really very good. Came here for dinner on our first night in Miami and it was an absolute blast! The food was great, but the highlight was definitely the massive drinks we got for the table. Strawberry Mango Mint is the way to go for the hookahs. Our waiter Jeffrey was hilarious and fantastic, ready with honest recommendations - if you go, see if you can get a table with him, especially if you've never been to Miami. He was answering questions from the menu to grocery stores near our hotel to other places to get drinks that were off the beaten path. Made our night. We'll definitely be coming back soon. read more

I ordered a glass of Cab Sab to avoid a cocktail that's more mixer than alcohol and that was actually pretty good. The wine was nice and full bodied. Next up was my $26 Americano Burger with fries. The fries were nice and crispy, and I had them with more than a couple of the little packs that reminded me of elementary school instead of a squeeze bottle like I'm used to from other restaurants. I asked for bbq sauce to dip the fries, and got it after I was done with the fries so I used it instead with the burger. I asked for said burger with no pickles and medium well. While the temperature of the burger was as requested, the burger was overly salty and the American cheese seemed like the squeezable "cheese whiz" type. Also guess what offensive condiment was in the bottom bun? Yes the pickles! While I started to eat the burger keto style (without the bun) I left most of it. While the waitress said she had put the order as no pickle, maybe the kitchen messed up my request.
