Always great food and drinks. The only thing I didn't care for was the bartender who would take a long time to even acknowledge me. I was sitting and waiting fiori at least 20 minutes one time. another time, I was sat at the bar in a busy night, and she ignored me for about 5 minutes while she was chatting up some other people at the bar. In the mean time, a man was sat next to me. at that point she came right over. Then spoke to both of us at the same time. When she finally took our orders, I had to let her know we were not together. Exceptional food. I did not take a picture, sorry. My wife and I enjoyed our meals. We made reservations to meet her sister and my brother in law. The food and service where so good. We have been to Capital Grill in Boston and Gordon Ramsay's Ramses Kitchen and the food at On the Corner Grill was just as good, maybe even better. The service and the drinks were also exceptional. We don't know what has happened to this place. I'm so unhappy. The past two times we have gone to OTC have been disappointing. First, we get seated in the bar area, which is usually filled with drinking people who are loud and moving around drunkenly, which ruins any sense of intimacy. Also, you're seated at a high top table, which doesn't signify fine dining as a rule, but, rather, potato skins and mozzarella sticks. However, on our previous visit, we ordered lobster bisque from the specials, which was $18 for a bowl. It wasn't made clear about the size or the price, because we would have shared it or not ordered it at all. It wasn't very good, and I wish I hadn't ordered it, but we had two of the bowls at our table. Service was chaotic, but that was probably because of the chaotic bar atmosphere, with the bartender and servers tripping over themselves trying to make sense of the chaos. On our most recent visit, I had made reservations because it was our anniversary. It didn't occur to me to request something NOT in the bar area. However, that's where they sat us again. None of the people at our table drink. And yet, that's where they sat us, at a high top table in the crowded bar. The drunks kept backing into our table, the tvs make it like a sports bar, the music was too loud, and the crowd was very loud at the bar. So much for conversation. The meatballs were not hot, the baked haddock was actually nothing that we expected, (gross, actually, and mushy in a casserole dish), the rigatoni had some slab of something white over the top, (I thought it was bechamel but my husband said he thought it was congealed provolone), and it wasn't pretty at all. I don't know what has happened to this place, but it's so expensive, and yet it purports to offer better quality along with the prices. However, in this high-top table loud bar atmosphere, it is absolutely not worth the cost. Really, mediocre at best. We're so sad about it. read more

We heard good things about this restaurant but we were somewhat disappointed. The place was very noisy, so noisy that my husband and I could not have a conversation without yelling across the table! But my biggest complaint is that this is the only restaurant that I have ever been to that charges for bread with your meal. They brought us a bread basket with 3 very small pieces of bread (3 pieces for 2 people?) and when we asked for more bread, they brought us 2 more very small pieces of bread. When we got our bill, we were charged $2.00 for the additional bread! We thought that was rather tacky and classless. The food was okay but we will not go back again. read more

Our first time eating here tonight . Bread and dipping oil was very good . A nice big bowl of mussels . Scampi sauce for the mussels was kinda hot with the red pepper flakes but overall good . Baked haddock was delicious. Mashed potatoes came out cold so I sent them back and I got the green beans instead of the julienne vegetables which to my surprise they charged extra for . Both being the same price as a side I would have thought it would be an even trade . Service was good . We've been to OTC a few times now for dinner and lunch. The panini capris lunch sandwich is perfection. We've had several meals off the dinner menu and all have been delicious. The atmosphere is busy and can be loud with a relatively small dinning area as well as a long bar. Always clean and well decorated. The staff have always been friendly. Second time coming here and still not disappointed. The meat rice balls are so addicting. They come out crispy and hot. The Italian Trio was also very good. We didn't care for the alfredo sauce on the lasagna, but the chicken with the vodka sauce was so moist and yet very crispy. The raviolis were so good and cooked perfect. Went tonite for a celebratory dinner. Have been in the past, but hadn't been in several months. We ordered our Go To Meals. Not only had the prices gone up 4.00 - 5.00, but the portions were considerably smaller. The waitress was also working the bar and we had to wait a long time for her to come and check on things. My husband, son and I went to On the Corner Grill Wednesday evening at 5:00 for the first time. When looking to make a reservation they had openings' available from 4:30 to 7:30. If you didn't make your reservation you were charged $25.00 per person. Since my husband has a job that he cannot reliably leave at a certain time, we decided to not make a reservation. We arrived at 5:00 and the hostess asked if we had a reservation. We told her no and she told us we could sit at the bar or outside. There were many tables open in the restaurant, but we opted to sit outside. We ordered drinks, I ordered a white sangria. When our drinks were brought to us I questioned if mine was a white sangria since it looked a bit pink. She told me that, that was their white sangria. We were sitting enjoying our drinks when the waitress came over and informed me that the drink I was drinking was meant for another person and then proceeded to take it from me. She gave me my white sangria, but she surely had to throw away the drink I was drinking. We enjoyed our meals but this place is rude. If they have an empty restaurant and only offer you places at their bar or outside, I think they only want people with reservations so they have an opportunity to make money on missed reservations. Also if they mess up on a drink order I feel they should leave the drink with the person already drinking it! We will never be back!! read more

I was reluctant to go here because of the reviews but we decided to try take out. We had a 45 minute drive home so thought we could pick up on the way home. We spent most of that time calling and either being put into voicemail or someone saying "can you hold" and never coming back...or coming back and disconnecting us as we talked. The atmosphere was great, loved the high ceilings, bathroom was clean! Wait staff was friendly, and courteous. My husband and I like to split, you eat less and can try more. The complimentary bread was warm with a soft center and a nice crispy outside, the dipping oil was an interesting flavor mix of red pepper, garlic, and sun dried tomatoes. We started with the scallops wrapped in bacon with the honey glaze. The scallops were not over cooked but the honey glaze was over cooked and I personally did not like honey on them I think a maple glaze would be better. There was a small cup of sauce also on the plate and so I dipped my fork in to taste it and instantly burnt my tongue badly! The sauce was scalding! Needless to say enjoying the rest of the scallops was difficult. I mentioned to the waitress that the sauce is way too hot it literally soft ball candies on my fork. I told her they needed to take it off the heat as someone could really get burnt badly. I was a little disappointed that no one besides her came out and apologized. Caesar salad came next was good I could enjoy it as it was cold. The seltzer with lime drink was now my favorite. We then shared eggplant Parmesan, I had to let it cool down a lot...but it was crispy with good flavor not overly cooked. The pasta was cooked well. All in all the food was great, I would not get the scallops ever again. Despite my tongue being burned I would still recommend OTC I just would stay away from the scallops!!! read more

This is my first time back in the area in three years. I was meeting some relatives that I had not seen in as long, and my Aunt had suggested On the Corner Grill. We made reservations, the food was great. We enjoyed a 3 course meal because we wanted to hang out after not seeing each other, but was told we only had 15 min. left when we were ordering dessert. We did not realize this would be the case but ordered dessert anyway, though we had to eat it quickly. That would be my only complaint as there were empty tables when we were leaving. I don't think we should have been rushed out, especiallly since covid restrictions have been lifted. Otherwise I would highly recommend this restaurant. The menu was great. I had veal Saltinbocca along w a fabulous spinach salad and turtle cheesecake for dessert. The place is a hidden gem!! My first visit was for my birthday dinner. I really loved the atmosphere. Fine dining, yet, still felt like I was "On The Corner" in Derry, NH. The food is delicious. Everything is fresh and made to order. I've been back several times and can't wait to continue to try new meals! My only hope is they are able to expand. This dish is in the running for THE BEST dish I have ever had. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic this dish was and I am rather hard to please with food. The vegetable risotto doesn't look like anything special but the flavor is to die for. The pesto cream sauce is exquisite. The crab stuffing is incredible with perfectly cooked chicken. The combination of flavors is UNMATCHED not to mention it is a great balanced meal that didn't make me feel gross after eating. We also had the steak and cheese egg rolls which were fantastic. I went here for the first time for lunch today around 1:00 PM. I had chicken and sausage Cacciatore and my wife had the Cobb Salad. We were both happy with out meals. My wife also ordered the rice ball appetizer which was also very good. I like the Marinara sauce that came with the rice ball. Our server was very nice. Went to this place for first time. When I walked in it was small but clean and great decor. Only problem was I wasn't greeted when I arrived. I stood by the please wait to be seated sign on the podium. An older women and younger lady were talking. About seating list going back and forth. I wanted until someone acknowledged me and my fiancé. It was about 3-5 min before that happened. We were asked how many. No, greeting, no how are etc. hostess said 30 min. We said ok. Not direction was given. We found a spot and my fiancé went to bar and ordered a Tito's and seltzer. Once We received drinks we tasted them. I couldn't taste one ounce of vodka. We watched as the older women maybe manager and the younger hostess struggle to get themselves organized. Training in operations and perhaps traffic flow is absolutely needed. Summary service sucked, salad was great and was good. Not sure I would go again. read more

I was very happy to be able to walk in and get a seat at the bar tonight as I have enjoyed OTC in the past but the experience literally made me walk out. I was served a drink relatively quickly and was given a menu but was then completely ignored for the next 20+ minutes while the people to my right were served their apps then their main. A couple came in and sat to my left and were immediately served and a food order was taken. I finished my drink and that when I was finally approached and asked if I wanted another drink. I politely informed the server I came in for dinner and had been ignored after I got my beer so she could just close out my tab. She was indifferent to the whole situation and even seemed to try to put it back on my by saying "I just came over to say hi and ask if you wanted a drink". No apology as apparently I was completely in the wrong expecting to be asked what I'd like to eat in a restaurant. I can no longer speak to the quality of the food but service was terrible. read more

Ok, so I will give OTCG two stars for the following reasons. We were there about a month ago. For the most part they are following all CDC COVID-19 guidelines. We started with some appetizers. The fried triangle mozzarella was good, the tomato sauce was not, it tasted like it was out of a jar. The fried calamari was tough, chewy and not good at all. The steak and cheese egg rolls were ok and very greasy. The Chicken broccoli and ziti tasted like chic broth, and butter. I asked for extra garlic and I could not taste any of it. The pork chop valdostana was not bad, but there was really no flavor to it at all. The grilled rib eye, was just ok also. so, the main course meals where not what we had expected for taste and quality. The best part of the meal was the desert. We have all came to conclusion that we will not be rushing back here. read more

I was really surprised to find out that they give time limits on tables, even when it's not busy. It's one thing to have a policy written somewhere to make people aware that they can't stay at their table all day. But to have the hostess say the time you have your table until while walking you to your table, when the restaurant is nearly empty, makes you feel unwanted and unwelcomed. Also, the food took a while in the kitchen, which is fine, but by the time we were done eating, we only had 20 min left of our 1.5 hour time limit on our table reservation so dessert was out of the question! We were a party of 6, so large but not unusually large and didn't require any special tables or accomodations. The food was decent, not great. The ambience is blah; it's very drab and not nearly fancy enough for the high prices and the weird time limit on tables! UPDATE: I was sick with a stomach bug the entire next day. I blame the shrimp! We Just treated Dad to Fathers Day lunch here. Everything was amazing! My husband was blown away by how good everything was. We cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! Very friendly staff too! We tried the eggplant Rollatini (definitely the best we've ever have) the Stracliatella A la Romano soup was incredible. For entrees we tried the Ziti alla Vodka, veal Saltimboca Romano, The chicken O, and the OTC.....all were so fresh and full of flavor. We all were saying it was the best meal we have ever had in NH. We have loyal patrons since the restaurant opened. Tonight experience was less than stellar on many levels- service by the waitress was poor; we were asked if we wanted bread to which we said yes only to not have it served and asking to have it served; food was in correct when brought to the table and food took unusually long to be served. The is a surprising spot in a small strip mall. Unassuming from the outside. Inside the vibe is cool and upbeat and the food is fantastic! The only reason for a 4 star and not 5 is the need to change up the menu. OTC is very good at what they do, they just need some new items. read more
