I've been a loyal customer since 2013, but that's about to change. OTE has replaced our water heater, HVAC, and most recently all new drain pipes under the house. They've never missed charging my card monthly to be a VIP customer, but I am definitely not a VIP. I got a call about two weeks prior to April 8th, saying my AC summer tune up was due. The girl said they could come out April 8th. I asked, "Are y'all open that day, it's Good Friday?" She assured me they were. I was on the schedule to work that day, so I made arrangements to work a half day. At 08:35 that Friday morning I got the confirmation call. I confirmed the appointment. The tech's window was 12 - 4PM, and the next call would be the tech calling with his ETA. The next call came at 13:00, but was the office girl saying the tech was running behind and wouldn't be able to make it that day, would I like to reschedule? I should have prefaced this with, this is the third time I've had to reschedule service with these guys on different issues. I say to her, "What's the point?" I wanted to launch into a Seinfeld bit about taking reservations, but I was NOT in the mood. I said, "Everytime we make an appointment, you guys cancel it day of. Tell you what, let me speak to a supervisor or manager." She incredulously asks, "What does it concern?" "IT'S A COMPLAINT." She puts me on hold, then comes back, "The managers all just went to a meeting. Do you want me to give them a message to call you back.....I'll send an email." That was Friday, April 8th. They rush you into making a decisions claiming that they can provide you with all types of discounts when in reality they are overpricing the items and services. Stay away!!! This is the absolute worst experience you can imagine. I had to make multiple calls just to get the semi-annual check-up scheduled. Three times had to explain to agents which AC unit, where it's located next to the house. Then I scheduled at my job and work to be at home around the appointment time they gave me only to have them no show. In addition, for another AC unit's repair they recommended a full replacement of a system at $19K when another AC company was able to address the same problem, replace a part for $4K and warrantee it for 10 years. read more

I'm ONLY editing my review because of the Tech Tom. He went above and beyond to help fix the problem by coming back out and cleaning the dryer vent. If you go through this company then make sure you get your techs number because if you have to deal with their customer service line then you will never get help. The manager never called me back and the customer service line just hangs up on you non stop. They eventually started sending my number to a random voicemail or they would answer and hang up. I eventually had to call the old school way by *67 and still would answer and hang up. Tom is an amazing tech and personally deserves to work for a better company! read more

I have used OTE several times over the years without any problems. But now, not so much. I had a plumbing issue with a clogged toilet, plus three faucets (hardware is 10 years old) that were leaking on either the hot or cold side. Now I have one faucet that is completely unusable and another that looks like a Frankenfaucet. I contacted OTE the day after the shoddy repairs to request a manager callback. I received a call from the scheduling coordinator (Kirsty) telling me that OTE wanted to "make things right" and that I should expect a call from the plumbing manager, Gary. I'll give some grace as the work was done on the Tues before Thanksgiving. (Of note -- we were hosting family and had to work around the out of commission sink in our guest bathroom.) My grace is gone as here we are almost a week out, one unreturned call to the direct line of Kirsty, and no further contact from OTE. Not cool. One has to ask why the Yelp reviews are so terrible, yet the Google/facebook reviews are "stellar". My theory -- OTE has sent an email requesting my review EVERY other time work was done at my house (whether HVAC or plumbing). This time, no email request as I raised my issues with the tech before he left my home. I suspect there are MANY more bad reviews waiting in the wings, but they are not given because there is no prompt to do so. In any event, I highly recommend that you find another plumbing company. There are hundreds out there. This is not a fun experience having to pay twice for a simple repair, just because the tech was not experienced AND the company does not stand behind its work. read more

I have had OTE for about a year. and when I had them come out to perform service, I noticed that the coils inside the A/C unit had rust. A sales person came to my home and explained the coils needed to be replaced, but the refrigerant had to be replaced as well. Unfortunately the outside unit had to be replaced as well. You cannot put the new refrigerant cannot be put into old systems. The financing was approved and the work was completed. The supervisor was Jonathon and the required inspections were performed. It is supposed to be Inspected by the City for the final Certification. It has been 5 months to the day and NO inspection as yet. I have made several calls and text messages without any response. Today I called and was told to leave a voicemail. As of 7PM NO response again. I Will be contacting the finance company to find out if any recourse I can follow. read more

The problem that a TV commercial offers services that are not delivered. The tech came in, saw my two ac units were 7 and 8 years old, disassembled the units, did not performed the tuned up nor cleaning up any part. instead try to sell me two new units. After I told him that I was not going to replace any part, he sat in his truck in front of the house for over two hours and reported he performed the services. He did not even put the covers back on the electrical units or the air handler. I had to pay someone else to put them back together. Long time customer of On Time Experts, have had both good and bad experiences And I have read a lot of their reviews, and I agree with most of them. But I wanted to give a review that is on the better side. We have had them come out for our AC within the last couple of weeks. Not such a good experience, unfortunately. However, I've had a toilet upstairs that had a leak. It was under the toilet which caused a BIG stain on the downstairs ceiling. Called On Time and they were absolutely ON TIME . The technician Alex , looked at the ceiling and stated "it looks like one of two things. Leaking seal or the flange is cracked ". He immediately gave me pricing, which I agreed to either repair, it was in fact the flange. Alex took pictures, showed me step by step what was wrong. He got the flange replaced, new seal everything is now GREAT! Alex gave me back some of the confidence that has been lost with On Time. Thank you Alex for your expertise and skill set. Dec 1, 2023 Called the office of OnTime Experts and spoke with a very sweet lady named Marianne. After explaining that I had read some pretty sketchy reviews and that I really did not want to have to deal with any bs regarding the visit, she set me up with one of their senior technicians. Robert called about 30 minutes before the appointment, he came inside with his booties on, and could not have been more polite or professional. He answered all of my questions and never flinched with me following him around and just basically trying to learn everything that I could about what he was doing regarding my furnace system. This was an advertised $59 special from KRLD here in the Dallas Fort Worth area, and I was very well pleased with their service. So much so I may request them again. read more

We requested an estimate to replace an HVAC system (5 ton + 3 ton) and were horrified at the quote of just over $72,000 which was more than double the next highest quote for the exact same system. This was so egregious that the HVAC equipment manufacturer to discuss this and they were also concerned with the extreme markup. Hopefully this was isolated but this was absolutely excessive! On Time and out of line! I needed my kitchen sink snaked instead I got a total nightmare! I heard this extremely loud boom thought it was thunder ran outside to see the On Time plumber had hit my 50+ year old pine tree so hard he knocked the bark off and now I may lose it. My dad planted that tree I'm so sad. Then he proceeds to unclog my slow draining sink without success. The next morning I wake up both sides of my sink have standing water and even my dishwasher! I am a veteran and this was to be a free service per the company, the plumber said he wouldn't charge me! Hello you crash into my pine tree make the plumbing issue worse to say that!? You owe me! The street my pine tree is on is wide I have had ambulances, fire trucks, school buses, even 18 wheelers drive by for the past 60+ years no one has ever hit my pine tree! Apparently this On Time plumber has driving skills as bad as his plumbing skills! called on time expert for a diagnoses on my HVAC system the tech they sent told me it was the TXV valve. I agreed to have it replaced it was said the part will need to be ordered called the day the part was supposed to come in and was told it wasn't there yet the next day i called again still nothing i told them to cancel the order. The next day around 11 a.m. on time shows up to install the part. Apparently their AI dispatch set that up i never received a text saying they where coming. So on July 11th on tome expert came back out to install the part after installation he stuck around for 10-20 mins and said give it a few hours it should cool the next morning my house was still hot called them back out a different tech came out informed me it wasn't the TXV valve in was the compressor, me and the tech discussed what needed to be done i told him who do i talk to about a refund do to a misdiagnosis he told me that they should give you a refund do to it being diagnosed wrong. So Andreas called me after i left a google review. So i call back and he wasn't in the office called again and was told he would call me back called a third time and was told he wasn't available and that they will email the management team and Andreas to give me a call back. Also did i mention the last tech that came out sent me a invoice no payment of course but when i looked at it he had signed it instead of me signing it. Also found out that the techs they send out are basically rookies , not there fault all where very respectful and nice just didn't like what the last one did he switched the words around in the invoice. Now I'm out $1350.00 + 95.00 from On time expert. Had another company charge me $8000.00 for a new system and they had my home up and running the very next day. Andreas has still not got back with me honestly i don't think they will refund me anything so here i am. Mislead over the phone. Called last night to see if someone could come check our HVAC system and was told that it would be a free consultation to come out and diagnose the problem. I waited till 12:30 AM and the technician never called and never showed up. Called again in the morning and was told they called me and left a voicemail though I had neither from the previous night. Person over the phone this morning tried to tell me it would be $95 to come out even though the person last night said it was no cost to come out and diagnose so I don't know where the $95 increase came from in under 8 hours but it is what it is. I am writing this review strictly for their interaction and attitude toward a potential customer (for a big project). We never even get a chance to offer them the job because they never called back. I called them because they are featured in several business booklets with good reviews. The girl who answered did not even introduce herself, was completely ignorant on how to discuss with a customer and had no knowledge what the $95.00 dispatch fee would provide. She kept saying 'you have to pay $95 dollars'. Sure, but what is included in this amount, what am I getting for it... It went on and on for over 10 minutes without her being able to say whether we are getting a diagnosis, an estimate or he was just coming over for coffee! She did not ask anyone for help and eventually promised someone would call back with more information. They never did! First impression: incompetent, unreliable & untrustworthy. read more

I have been a "family" customer for years but that is coming to an end. My last maintenance did not end well. The evening after my service water was coming out of the light in the living room. A tech came out the next morning and said that the Tech before should have made sure the drain line was clear. The previous Tech notated he blew out the line but restriction remained and applied algae treatment. The second Tech did, why didn't the first one? My ceiling has stains, a crack and it bulges now. Spoke with OTE and stated it is not their fault. They come and service and the same evening the water comes through the ceiling. Not buying it. I have called other companies and most have family plans with little more benefits at lower cost so just need to make my selection. read more

They should first of all change their name to 'late experts' or 'not on time experts'. On both occasions of using their services, they confirm an appointment time for a two hour time frame but turns out that means nothing. You could have an 10-12pm appt but not get seen until the evening. When I called the dispatcher after 12pm had passed they informed me that in fact the timeframe I confirmed was not fixed. They would simply call when they were on their way. I work from home and run meetings throughout the day, so not having a window of time I can block off does not work. Second they sell the heck out of their monthly 'insurance' package. "Pay nothing today but sign up for our insurance for $19.99 a month". No thanks. Third, and the worst of it... we got two people to come out because our washing machine was backed up and needed a clean out. I could tell off the bat they were not happy or friendly and didn't seem to answer the questions I had. RED FLAG. They tell me they cannot perform the cleanout as their bit could not fit in my 2 inch pipe? I was like WTF??? They then put in the camera to look and showed me a fuzzy picture that they said was roots in my pipes. To my disbelief I was horrified. They stated they would write me up a quote for the repairs. I wanted to get a second opinion since I was weirded out through the whole interaction with the two of them. I contacted a local recommended plumber and low and behold there were NO ROOTS IN THE LINE. On Time Experts blatantly lied to try and get me to pay THOUSANDS!! Moral of the story, don't initially believe what they tell you. Find a recommended plumber from your local FB group and get someone you can trust. read more

I recently had the spring tune up, where the tech. told me how he will remove the blower fan, and clean out all the gathered dirt. My now knowing why they do this, is to sell you new parts. Like the tech. told me the blower motor was leaking lubricant and may fail. Well, knowing summer was coming, I agreed to replace it. He had the B-25 motor, told me it cost $4,000, plus dollars. I said forget it, don't replace it. He then told me he could come down to twenty four hundred dollars, I still said no. Also in my Trane system, it has a UV light bulb that didn't work, I said ok, it cost $347 dollars. I have gone on Amazon, looked at Trane A/C blower motors. Most of them cost between 300, to 800 dollars, and the UV light bulb only costs $69.00. Look, there reason to take it all apart, is to clean it, but more about selling you overpriced new parts. read more

Well every time I see this ad on tv On Time Experts just boils my blood. One year ago I called for $59.00 maintenance special. They showed looked at my system without completing the maintenance he said my motor was wearing out and he showed me and he cleaned the system and need to replaced so I said ok change it thinking this would take care of the problem but after he installed the new motor he comes and tells me the burners needs replacing because he said carbon monoxide was leaking so he said by law he would have to turn off the gas until I gotta it replaced, his prices was outrageous. I told I would shop around so he gives me a bill for the motor he installed and it was over $1000.00 what the hell is it made out of gold. I had to pay it and I was stuck a new motor. I end up replacing the whole unit I used a different company it was cheaper then using on time expert but Im stuck with a new $1000.00 motor, they would not let me return it back to them unless I used there company. So yeah I change the channel when they come on What great way to rip people off. Do your homework before using this company. read more

They helped us, but they also have compromised email servers which resulted in an email with their invoice, on their paper, being sent to us by a 3rd party which resulted in a case of $25000 being sent to the wrong party based on their poor communication. When asked if they would split the cost, because lets face it, we were stolen from but their servers are compromised, they didn't want to. All in all, mediocre communication from their people doing the work - we had a wedding at our house and they wouldn't confirm if they were going to be done prior to finishing or not - and the fact that we lost $25K due to their email servers being compromised - would not recommend to anyone. Their reps, Matthew Rudesill and Uzma Saboor, Matt doesn't have a title and Uzma is their controller, will talk sweet nothings about how they can understand and appreciate what is going on - but ultimately won't do anything. Considering a legal route to get discovery into their servers. CONFIRM THAT THEY HAVE CYBER INSURANCE PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH THEM!!!! read more

I'll preface this with saying that we dropped the ball on this as well. In June of 2020, we had two brand new air conditioner units installed. The job was done well, everything is running smooth, no complaints on the workmanship. However, we were told we were signing zero interest financing and, naively, we took them at their word. The bills didn't look suspicious since every zero interest loan I've ever had has charged interest but paid it back if it was paid off during the promotional period. We in no way would have used their financing had this not been the case. Fast forward to March the next year (I know, I know, we should have caught this earlier but covid took a bit of a toll on our family). Calling in to figure out when our promotional financing period would be over so we could make sure our payment schedule was correct, we were told we never had zero interest financing and to contact On Time Experts to see what could be done. While on the call, the salesman we spoke with repeatedly ignored us, gaslit us about what we remembered, and claimed this could have never happened due to them having integrity which simply isn't on display while becoming more and more agitated towards us. We understand we hold fault here, however a simple apology and a plan to go forward would have been sufficient for us to keep our working agreement going forward. The financing we were promised simply never materialized and we were put in a spot that could have had over 18,000 dollars in interest if left to term. The work done seems to be top notch, but this, quite honestly, dishonest representation of their financing as well as being accusatory when we've brought the problem up has severed any chance of us doing business again. read more

I was told that with my membership I get a free water heater flush. When they show up they tell me since I have a tankless it will be $400 but that it's a deal because I'm a member. They do their plumbing walkthrough and tell me I need a major rebuild on 4 of my toilets for just a little over 2k! Are you kidding? I can buy 4 new toilets and have them installed for less than that. Keep in mind these toilets are only 6 years old. These people are thieves.
