The second technician, Chris, who was very knowledgeable, spent considerably more time investigating the system and made a genuine effort to identify the problem. Although he ultimately could not provide a specific, economically practical repair and concluded that the aging system was deteriorating to the point that replacement was the only solution their company could offer, I appreciated the company's response and willingness to address my concerns. I am updating my original review because the company took my complaint seriously and gave me the more thorough diagnostic evaluation I had originally requested. I was told all my duct will be cleaned I was quoted 199 Teach came. On time. Inspected the duct, my return duct and AC unit in the attic. And said I have mold and will cost almost 1700. If I could hsve given zero stars, I would have. Our air conditioner wasn't cooling properly. We called them and were told they would show up that day. By midnight that night, no one had showed. They finally showed up at 1:00pm the next day and tried to sell us on a $3200 coil replacement because he said we had a freon leak (after I paid him $588 to do a leak test). This didn't feel right so we called another company for a 2nd opinion. We paid them $15 to clean the outside unit and now it works like a charm. And...there was no freon leak. My concerns are with the sales process, management's communication, and the performance of the new system. Our previous 14-year-old system cooled our home faster, blew colder air, and ran quieter than the brand-new system that replaced it. When our old unit failed, our home reached 90°F. After discussing repair costs, the technician connected us by video with a sales consultant named Tony. The initial replacement quote was very high. As we declined, the price dropped several times until it reached roughly three-quarters of the original quote. That process made us question how the original price was determined. We planned to use our own credit card. Instead, we were encouraged to finance the purchase because the monthly payments sounded attractive. The financing covered only about 60% of the total cost. We had to put the remaining 40% on our credit card, leaving us with two payments. Avoiding interest on the financed portion also required much higher monthly payments than we expected. We needed air conditioning, so we moved forward. After we shared our concerns and a draft of this review, the company sent a quality control technician. He confirmed the system operated within factory specifications. That does not match our experience. Compared with our old system, this one: * Takes about three times longer to cool the house. * Blows noticeably less cold air from the vents. * Produces significantly more indoor noise. Management then offered an in-person meeting. I asked for a phone call or an appointment after 5:00 PM because of my work schedule. Scheduling staff communicated with us, but management never addressed our concerns directly. My advice is simple: don't ask only what temperature the system will maintain. Ask how quickly it should cool a hot house. Ask what vent temperatures and indoor noise levels you should expect. Request itemized pricing, and understand every financing term before you sign. The installation appears competent, and the technicians treated us well. Made an appointment for Thursday. They canceled did not show until Friday. Alex showed up went directly to kitchen, opened cabinet door and said you need a new disposal. How did he know I needed a new disposal when the electricity had gone off due to safety precautions because water was pouring out of disposal. I asked what do you think happened, his reply was it's old. He offered me a price of about there was 700 dollars for a 100 disposal. So I paid it. In less than an hour he had put the disposal in, first he had to ask where the switch for the disposal was even though there was only one switch in the kitchen. The switch was where all disposal switches are. I asked him to push the reset button on the wall plug, he said you don't have one. I said it is on the wall. He ignored that and said you need a electrician. I said can I wash dishes by hand. He said yes, then he left. I went to the kitchen to wash dishes. After I drained the water, the water went out all over the cabinet and the floor. And to top it off he left a part from the old disposal in the sink instead putting the new one. I called Expert On Time to tell them about the water, they said we will put you on the schedule. I said need someone to come out now. They sent Martin over. Martin said Alex knocked something loose when installing the disposal. Martin was a nice guy he hit the restart button and got electricity back on. He repaired the damage from Alex. I called the next day to speak to manager about my concerns. Customer service said they would send message to manager and they would call back ASAP. So far they have not called. ​ read more

We have a service agreement with On Time Experts. Our heater went out during the January 2026 cold storm. Our tech that came out Joey was extremely knowledgeable and got us back up running quickly. We were appreciative of that. Lifesaver and really knows his stuff. However, in the end we needed a new unit. We went through that sales process with Lance which was painless. The next day we had the system installed. The crew installing was Ricardo and Johnny. They were amazing. Very professional, knowledgeable and quick. Full HVAC installed in about 7 hours. Seamless. The Ricardo and Johnny came back later to do some additional duct work. The house is night and day in terms of air flow and efficiency. Highly recommend On Time Experts for any HVAC needs. I had a plumber come out to do a simple diverter repair. He gave 2 options. We took the less expensive route of just replace the parts ($500). While pulling the parts out he got a screw stuck in the water diverter line. Now he said that we have to do the expensive route of ($1500). Very interesting how his mistake was now my problem. Their technicians are great, but their prices are high AND they have trouble meeting reasonable time expectations. I just terminated my long term contract with them for my two AC units because they failed to show up at the requested time FOUR times in a row. I made four attempts to schedule the first appointment of the day because I did not want to dedicate a full day to preventive maintenance on my AC systems - which usually takes 4-5 hours to complete. They failed four times in a row so I terminated my contract. I had previously warned them that I would terminate our contract if they missed the appointment again. read more

They are a complete rip off. I used them for maybe three years. Every time they came for a service call, they tried to upsell me something. And their price was 50% more than any other company. The final straw was when they came out for a different service call but told me the heater exchanger on one of my units was starting to fail. They wanted to sell me a whole new unit at a cost of $24K, which they eventually brought down to $19K if paid for with cash. I got a second opinion and called five other companies for pricing. No other company was more than $12K. I call Moss Heating and Air for a second opinion. They said absolutely nothing was wrong with the heat exchanger, and even if there was, it had another 10 years of warranty, which they confirmed with the manufacturer. In addition, Moss told me that the unit I had was better than a brand new version because of ongoing EPA mandates. For that particular unit, they recommend repairs unless they just don't make economic sense. Bottom line, DO NOT USE On Time Experts. I have had great service from Moss and highly recommend them. I really hope this review will save someone at least that's my hope. CJ came out to give a quote which landed around 5000-6000 after offering to install 2 free toilets I thought okay sure. We had a slab leak that they repaired. It went fron one day to two days, ended up being a week. They dug (2) 3 ft holes in our garage which was not needed. I had to constantly stay on them about their timing. They never showed up on time. I had to call over and over before they would return my phone call. Then Phillip installed the free toilets. That was a disaster it literally took them over a month to install 2 toilets. Terrible workmanship. I had to watch Phillips every move because he had already rig the first toilet installation so I had to keep my eyes on him. He lies a lot, Jacob can't handle correction and gary ended up ghosting me, not to mention my toilet tank lid is still not right they gave me 5 yr warranty but they will not honor it. This company needs to be held accountable at some point because they have zero ethics. Please look elsewhere they do not deserve your hard earned money. I should have listened to my gut. These guys are absolutely horrible. I'm still gonna find the owner I never let things like this slide. This is not how you treat people when they are paying you for a service. We bought a brand new AC unit for our house two years ago and since then we've had to replace multiple parts on a brand new unit. $11,000 unit worth $2.00! It was leaking so bad, it messed up our roof and we had to get that fixed as well. We honestly feel as though they sold us a faulty unit!!! Every time they've come out to your house to fix the same unit, they charged us hundreds of dollars to fix something that shouldn't be broken, but it is! They came August 2025 to fix a problem and now they're back January 206 for another problem and want to charge us $300+ to fix it. When we said we have the maintenance membership, they said they didn't save our credit card information and that we hav a balance from that but never reached out to us to advise our membership was not intact. It's been a real shit show with this company! In July 2024, we purchased a new A/C unit from On Time Experts at a cost of approximately $24,000. The system came with a two-year warranty, which included semi-annual maintenance visits--covering filter replacements, tune-ups, and other routine servicing. However, I became concerned early on when I had to initiate contact with the company to schedule the first maintenance visit, rather than them proactively reaching out as the agreement implied. As of today, August 18, 2025, we are still dealing with the aftermath of a defective A/C drain line, which caused significant water damage. On July 7th, On Time Experts acknowledged the issue and arranged for the removal of damaged drywall and cabinetry in our master bathroom. Over a month later, the space remains unusable--there are still no cabinets, mirrors, or functional amenities. I was asked by the company to obtain a repair estimate, which I did through Lowe's. However, after submitting the bid (approximately $7,036), I was informed that the company is unwilling to cover the cost of restoring our master bathroom The only reason for the 2 star is because they fixed the A/C problem but obviously not the damage it caused. Over 1 month has passed. PS Communication needs be improve seriously - over 2-3 weeks no communication before writing my first google review. They would be great if they would just treat the customer as though it was their home. read more

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. We had them come out to do a free cleaning. Our system is brand new, installed a year ago. We have had moderate weather for the last week so when the AC kicked on a week later the core froze - I noticed water dripping through our patio ceiling. I called them back out (a year of flawless operation) because obviously they did or didn't do something. The tech came out and proceeded to tell me the refrigerant is no longer approved, and that we had a leak somewhere. Both turned out to be incorrect. Luckily my system was under warranty so the builder came out and confirmed everything the tech was trying to sell us was not needed. On-time Experts replaced 2 clean-outs and 1 cap on the sewer pipe under the driveway on 3-4-26. I was out to dinner when the work was finished. I was called at dinner. I said I would be happy to settle up and asked if I could pay on-line. They said that wasn't a problem. When I got home, the 3 caps were missing. On 3-5-26 around 0900, I called to find out what had happened. I received a callback around 1 or 2 pm from Luis. He stated that he had removed the caps, because I hadn't paid them yet. I stated he was allowing sewage to drain out over the driveway and into the lake. I would pay them, but not until I had checked the work. I said it was extremely unprofessional of them to do that. He said it was unprofessional of me to not being there when he completed the work. About 15 min later, I got a call from Gary (manager). He stated I needed to pay before they would replace the caps. I stated I was at work and wouldn't be home until the next day. He said I should call them when I was home. I explained that raw sewage would be draining into the lake. He reiterated they wouldn't replace the caps until I paid. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he stated, "you don't need to worry about that". I called the company directly and asked to file a complaint. I was told to expect a call on the following day. On my way home from work, I purchased 3 caps to replace them myself and stop the sewage leak. When I got home, the 3 caps had been replaced. At that time, I went on-line and paid the bill of $1488.94. I received a call from Jacob on 3-9-26. He expressed regret but indicated he was a subordinate to Gary so was limited in what he could do. I can't believe that this company was so unprofessional as to purposely leave the caps off the sewer line clean-outs, allowing sewage to drain down the driveway and into the lake. When I spoke with the manager, he was equally unprofessional. I will never use this company again, and strongly advise others to stay away from them also. read more

Terrible company. This happened in July 2025. I will give them credit for coming out on a Sunday, but they are a total scam. They spent 4 hours looking at my attic unit and said they found a leak. That 4 hour service call cost over $500. They said they would have to look for a replacement part which could take up to 2 days, and the quote for replacement was over $2,400. The technician convinced us to sign up for their membership to get a discount on the bill, and that we could cancel at any time for no charge. We did and said we cancel now. He said ok. The next morning I called a second company. They took 30 minutes to find the leak and had a part to make the repair on them, and it cost less than $1,100. The only reason the repair was even that much was because the technician from On Time somehow broke our thermostat while he was there the day before. We have been getting invoices for the membership every month since then. I would not recommend this company to anyone for anything. read more

On time expert, Ac Repair . Warning: overcharging then . The AC technician was professional, respectful, and did the job well. He provided the quote upfront, but I was in a situation where I didn't have time to shop around or wait. I ended up paying $525 for a basic capacitor replacement. If I had declined the repair, I would've still been charged a $95 service visit fee, which is higher than what many other companies charge. Given the urgency, I agreed to the price, but later realized that the total cost was well above average for this type of repair. This is not a complaint about the technician himself--he did his part. But I do want to warn others to ask detailed questions about pricing ahead of time, especially if the situation isn't urgent. It's a lesson learned, and hopefully this helps someone else avoid an overpriced repair. read more

Exceptional service from On Time Experts. Colin came out in the middle of a frigid winter storm to assess why our upstairs wasn't heating. Unfortunately our upstairs system was 17 years old. Mark was great! We had the whole house cleaned and sanitized - 10 ducts, 1 return, the HVAC unit. Had not been cleaned since 2011 when the HVAC was replaced. He made a recommendation on changing the HVAC filter type we are currently using to make the system run more efficiently - an educational moment we didn't know we needed! Anytime in Texas when your A/C can be more efficient - that is a bonus in my book. We also had a deep clean of our dryer venting, and when I tell you that was years overdue....that is not an exaggeration. It looked like it was snowing out with all the buildup he got out of our duct system! Mark was polite, personable, and efficient in his work, explaining small changes we could make to improve efficiency, and a time line for a maintenance cleaning rather than a deep cleaning, which would be more cost effective. 100% would recommend this company! read more
