We really enjoyed the tasting experience where we got to sample different cakes with fillings of our choice. We also loved how cute the S'mores mini cupcakes turned out! When we later decided we no longer wanted mini cookies that originally was on the contract, Patty's was understanding and removed the items from our invoice with no issues - truly a testament to how professional and easy to work with they are! Their salt bread is actually insane and the end bits with all the butter bunched up is crazy. The cookie salt bread is basically the sweet version and that is amazing as well. Why offer so many flavors if you don't get a choice? I called again the next day and thankfully got a different worker who shared my confusion with me about the first worker. They wrote down my order (I got 4 different flavors) and I was set to pick up. I also noticed they gave me a wrong flavor (I ordered chocolate whiskey and they gave me caramel something instead). I made the mistake known to the cashier but she looked so confused and said "yeah.. thats the chocolate whiskey" which it clearly wasn't because there was caramel slathered on top and did not match the online description and the in person display. I showed the cashier the description and referenced the in person display and the cashier still seemed confused and said "yeah... thats the chocolate whiskey. What would you like me to do?" And I had to spell it out for her and say "take these caramel ones out and replace them with the ones I ordered" and had to point and all and the cashier just said "oh okay." Since we were already in Orange County, we stopped by a bakery at the Source Mall. I bought several pastries there. The fresh cream bread was very delicious. I didn't try the custard cream bread because my younger brothers ate it, so I can't really comment on the taste. I also haven't tried the pecan pie yet. Lately, Dubai chocolate cookies have been extremely popular and trendy, so I asked whether this bakery had them. They said yes, so I bought one for $6.75. However, when I tried it this morning, it was absolutely not a Dubai chocolate cookie. It was basically just a chocolate pie. There was no pistachio flavor at all, and no pistachios inside--just a very ordinary chocolate pie. That part was extremely disappointing. Also, yesterday I asked the bakery if they could provide paper plates so we could cut and share the pastries, but she said they didn't have any. Other bakeries usually provide paper plates, so it was disappointing as well.
