Another California visit, another absolutely necessary stop at Porto's Bakery!…read more My mom and I stopped in to pick up a Milk & Berries Cake for a family gathering, and I was so happy I was able to place the order ahead of time--it made everything so easy! Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a dozen guava cheese pastries because... priorities. They are a 10/10 every single time. And the Milk & Berries Cake? Absolutely delicious, as always! While we were waiting in line, my mom and I decided to treat ourselves to a dulce de leche latte and a vanilla latte, and WOW. The coffee was fantastic! I also have to give Porto's major credit for how incredibly organized everything is. Yes, there are ALWAYS a ton of people, but somehow they keep everything flowing and moving so efficiently. It's honestly impressive! I was visiting California from New York, and unfortunately, we don't have a Porto's in New York , so I genuinely look forward to coming here every time I visit my family. Milk & Berries Cake: 10/10. Guava cheese pastries: 10/10. Coffee: 10/10. Porto's, PLEASE open one in New York. Until then, I'll just keep making this a mandatory stop every time I'm back in California!

Cranky gals working the bakery ordering station, no smiles, monotone, no energy. Looks like they…read moreeither needed a hug, cup of coffee, or a raise, and unfortunately, I am unable to provide any of those 3 things. This really fit the "woke up on the wrong side of the bed" vibe that we all tend to joke with our friends and family lol. Whew. Understood it's never personal, as we're all strangers, but those hostile, uninviting, bad energy really rubs off on people. Came in for a birthday cake 2 weeks ago and this came bagged up at the order pick up station; the same birthday cake I got today for another loved one didn't come bagged, so after the gal who took my order left for the next guest, I asked the cashier (she had on a different color shirt) for the very big bags they have and yep, same no energy, no smiles vibe. Management, please look out for your team, or find ways to relocate non-customer service people into departments where they don't have to deal with people/face to face interactions. I'm surprised they don't have self ordering kiosks, that'd help a lot of "stressed" employees who don't have the capacity to provide basic customer service and to alleviate a lot of uncomfortable, hostile interactions. Porto's is great- food, pastries, and cakes hardly ever miss. It's always the human interaction part that really messes it up for companies of all sorts. Nothing personal, just sharing my very uncomfortable experience, talk about being unwelcome. Hope those 2 girls end up having a better day and finding their energy and smiles. Actually, shout out to the gal stationed at the entryway, she smiled and said good morning, welcome, hello to everyone walking in. Keep up the great attitude, thank you!

Our wedding cake was everything we could have hoped for. We had 3 layers of different flavors: chocolate cake with fresh raspberry & chocolate mousse filling, lemon raspberry cake with raspberry jelly & cream cheese filling, chocolate cake with fresh strawberries & chocolate mousse filling. The taste of each layer was incredible--moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. Visually, it was stunning: elegant, sophisticated, and beautifully detailed. It fit our wedding aesthetic perfectly and looked like a true centerpiece. What I appreciate most is the consistency, professionalism, and care she puts into every cake. She truly combines artistry with incredible flavor, and our wedding cake was the perfect example of that. If you are looking for a cake that tastes as amazing as it looks, I cannot recommend her enough!

I messaged Patricia right before a last minute birthday I was throwing for my daughter and boy oh boy did she come through. There was no picture I could send her that could explain the Squishy AND Love Shack Fancy theme she wanted. We bounced a few ideas off of each other and I was sure she would make a gorgeous cake because I've seen her work. It's always impeccable. The communication was amazing. Very kind, efficient, receptive and just easy to work with. Now everything aside don't think that these cakes are cheap. These are pieces of art and they're beautiful and time consuming. Everyone loved the cake: how it looked, how it tasted. The delivery was smooth. No calling during the event, just a smooth professional experience from the beginning to end. Patricia is an artist and she makes the process enjoyable too. My daughter was ecstatic and loved everything about the cake. The red velvet was moist and flavorful and the frosting was light a fluffy. Thank you!

I had never tried Botox before in my life, but I decided to get it for the first time yesterday as well. I don't think the results have shown yet, so I'm planning to post a review once they do. Since we were already in Orange County, we stopped by a bakery at the Source Mall. I bought several pastries there. The fresh cream bread was very delicious. I didn't try the custard cream bread because my younger brothers ate it, so I can't really comment on the taste. I also haven't tried the pecan pie yet. Lately, Dubai chocolate cookies have been extremely popular and trendy, so I asked whether this bakery had them. They said yes, so I bought one for $6.75. However, when I tried it this morning, it was absolutely not a Dubai chocolate cookie. It was basically just a chocolate pie. There was no pistachio flavor at all, and no pistachios inside--just a very ordinary chocolate pie. That part was extremely disappointing. Also, yesterday I asked the bakery if they could provide paper plates so we could cut and share the pastries, but she said they didn't have any. Other bakeries usually provide paper plates, so it was disappointing as well.

She's swift and efficient with her responses. I was provided with a menu link, Instagram, Yelp, and a quote instantly to look over. She was not pushy at all and very patient with my many questions (all while she welcomed her baby girl, what a superwoman!). The selection of desserts offered provides a great variation to suit a range of taste buds which was perfect for what I was seeking! They are also bite sized, which made them easy for guests to grab and try a few different ones. The presentation is simple, clean, and elegant. The price points are fair and delivery/drop off can even be purchased for an additional fee if needed. This is a convenient service option especially while planning and trying to juggle so many different things. Customer service is impeccable. From start to end and even AFTER the wedding, Amy checked in with me to ensure everything went well. If you are looking for an honest, reliable, personable, efficient, and delicious sweets vendor... Why offer so many flavors if you don't get a choice? I called again the next day and thankfully got a different worker who shared my confusion with me about the first worker. They wrote down my order (I got 4 different flavors) and I was set to pick up. The day I picked up my cupcakes, I noticed they looked different from the online pictures (but whatever, they still looked cute). I also noticed they gave me a wrong flavor (I ordered chocolate whiskey and they gave me caramel something instead). I made the mistake known to the cashier but she looked so confused and said "yeah.. thats the chocolate whiskey" which it clearly wasn't because there was caramel slathered on top and did not match the online description and the in person display. I showed the cashier the description and referenced the in person display and the cashier still seemed confused and said "yeah... thats the chocolate whiskey. What would you like me to do?" And I had to spell it out for her and say "take these caramel ones out and replace them with the ones I ordered" and had to point and all and the cashier just said "oh okay." It was super weird and frustrating. Anyways, taste wise- the alcohol infused cupcakes don't really have a flavor of alcohol and the batter kind of tastes like the box mix. Super strange experience for mid to below mid tasting cupcakes.
