So this was my first time visiting One Bourbon, and honestly it will probably be my last. I wasn't too impressed with most of my evening here. I arrived a little after my friends had already gotten there. When I sat down, they were still waiting for their drinks. When the drinks came out, the waiter did not acknowledge at all. He handed out the drinks and then left our table. He came around after another 5-10 minutes to refill waters, and then asked what I wanted. However, I did not know that it would take 20+ minutes and telling a few other people for me to get one drink. Finally someone came over to get me my drink and some other things my friends ordered. However, this person was very touchy with one of my friends, who particularly does not like to be touched. I would warn this person to be more aware of any physical contact they make with customers, because it can make people severely uncomfortable. At one point, someone else came by to clear some silverware and plates that were on the table, but just reached across without any warning. She just walked up, reached over shoulders, grabbed the items, and left without saying anything. Overall the wait time and the customer service made this place pretty unenjoyable. I understand that it was fairly busy and crowded, but to wait over 20 minutes for one drink is pretty ridiculous. I doubt that I will visit again. read more

We could have never expected the service we received. From the moment we stepped inside Meagan welcomed us, seated us and from that point on we had the highest level of service that made it truly an experience of a lifetime. Dustin took us on a journey that we didn't want to end. They took us to a Bourbon heaven. There are not enough stars for us to rate this establishment with. Truly amazing staff!! We went here for our anniversary. Its hard to say anything negative during Covid but the place hasn't recovered. One meal came out cold, the other which was risotto was soupy and tasteless. They tried to charge us for the meal that was sent back, I didn't even eat. Their bourbon is great. I had a great single cask that I had never tried before. Tonight we decided to give One Bourbon a try for my husbands birthday. Our experience was exceptional as soon as we walked in the door we were greeted warmly and she even wished my husband a happy birthday based on my comment I left on our online waitlist reservation. After being brought back to our table the waitress gave us drink and appetizer recommendations based on some of our preferences. We had a small mishap with our appetizer but the waitress was quick to correct. Food was decently portioned and very tasty. . After completing our meals the woman that greeted us so welcoming at the beginning came over to clear our plates. My husband loves His bourbon/whiskey and we kindly asked for a recommendation on what type of world whiskey he should try. She ended up asking him a lot of questions and gave him 3 options to choose from. I complimented her for being so knowledgeable and good at what she does. As a previous restaurant manager, so I always try to let people know when they are providing fantastic customer service, especially since they work their butts off during Covid and do it all with a mask on. She asked me what I would like to drink and I said I'm good based on the fact that I hate anything that You can taste the bourbon/whiskey in as I'm a vodka kind of girl in mixed cocktails . She gave me a recommendation based on my normal beverage of choice and I actually liked it. We learned that she was actually one of the owners. Great place, great food and drinks and exceptional service. Also If you are worried about Covid they put your mind at ease following all guidelines. This was a very good Resturant. The food was quite tasty with different dishes and the bourbon selections very good! Go on Thursday and always get the build your own poutine! The best combo is the standard cheese curd, pepper gravy, bacon and green onion. I've dined with both a large group and sat at the bar with a couple of people and both experiences have been fantastic. Went for drinks and appetizers with some friends and I was very impressed. The bartender was very informed and helpful in choosing drinks. I enjoyed the old fashioned. We also had the caramel corn, hot cheese dip and hummus plate. The caramel corn was a great salty sweet treat with bacon on top. The hummus plate was pretty average but good. The real winner was the hot cheese. It was creamy with a spicy marinara on top- loved it! It earned this five star review. Would love to go back and try an entree sometime. read more

An incredible meal, fantastic beverages and great company on our Friday night outing. We enjoyed the happy hour drink offerings and tried several different varieties of bourbon. Our waitress was incredible and we were graced with the knowledge given to us by Megan, one of the owners of this fine establishment. Our dinner entrees were the Shrimp and Grits, Tennessee Chicken, Chicken & Waffles and the Bourbon Beef Poutine. All of our choices were delicious and amazing. Very disappointing to say the least. We're not picky eaters. We like just about everything. My son who has been in the restaurant industry for a long time got the chicken and waffles and I got the beef poutine. First and foremost the beef tasted and smelled old/rancid like it had been sitting in the frig for a week. The cheese curds were not warm. It was like they took them out of the frig, sprinkled them on the dish then topped with the sauce and gravy. The fries were limp. The sauce tasted good but after 5-6 bites I was done. Likewise my sons meat was old tasting too. It looked like frozen Banquet Chicken heated up. His waffle seemed to be made with cornmeal and it was very hard, dry and tasteless. There was one tiny cup of syrup, no butter. It was served with some watermelon that didn't look fresh either. He left 3/4th of his meal. I rarely complain about food in a restaurant but did this time, that the meat in my dish tasted old and offered her a chunk of the meat that didn't have sauce on it to smell it, because you could even smell that it was old. She said she'd talk to her manager about it and they offered to pay for the $5. caramel corn we ordered to go. I'm thinking that's all?! We didn't even say anything about the chicken and waffles. We send both the dishes back to the kitchen and didn't take the leftovers home. The waitress came back and said she felt bad about what happened and apparently talked to the manager ( again (who never bothered to talk to us) and they took my entree off the bill. Ironically later when we tasted the wonderful sounding bourbon caramel drizzled popcorn with bacon that was bad too!!ike it had been sitting around for a long time. We're like...NEVER going back their again! I don't get to go out with my son very often so this experience was very, very disappointing. Great drinks but sub par food at best. Decided to give this restaurant another chance after a first time dinner experience around the time that they were newly opened. Tonight, my friend and I were disappointed by the ribeye entrees that we ordered. We felt pressured by the restaurant manager who told us she had checked the temp of our steaks to ensure they were prepared according to what we ordered - med rare and rare. If that's the case, explain to me why I needed to saw thru my rare steak and in natural light, both my girlfriend and I could see gray well-done color dominating the cuts of our meat? Either your cuts of meat aren't great quality and that's the outcome of your temp cut or you cook your steaks unevenly. The steaks were cooked unacceptably nonetheless,but we felt pressured to eat them as is bc god knows different steaks would've been cooked according to what we requested. This One Bourbon encore visit confirmed the cost and food weren't worth the experience. We'll continue to invest our business down the street with Butcher's Union. read more

Loved the vibe of the restaurant. The hot cheese dip appetizer was delicious. But then we ordered dinner. 3 entrees and 1 sandwich. The Kentucky Hot Brown sandwich was good and over half of the oversized plate was fries which also were good. The other 3 ordered Chicken and waffles, Fine fried chicken and Tennessee chicken. The chicken and waffle and fine fried were ordered Nashville Hot style. The heat of the hot sauce on the chicken was definitely towards the too hot, but bearable. The chicken itself was so over cooked and under seasoned (no salt) that it made the chicken inedible. The chicken breast was too hard to even chew because it was so hard. As for the Tennessee chicken, the same problem occurred with that chicken even though it had been pan seared, over cooked = inedible. Excited to see collard greens on the menu the two men also ordered them. Both men agreed that collards from a can are better than what they were served. While the chicken was over cooked the greens were under cooked. The manager, after speaking to us in a tone of "these people are just looking for a free meal" offered us free dessert which we declined and then gave us 25% off our entire bill and each party received a $25 gift card to "come back and try again". While that seems like a nice gesture, its a good thing they have an oversized bourbon menu because we will only be using the gift cards for booze and cheese dip. read more

I have never written a yelp review but my experience was so bad that I felt compelled to leave one. We made a reservation for 6:30. Upon arrival, we were told that the online reservation system is inaccurate and that our wait would be an additional hour. We would have left, however, the manager offered drinks to us while we waited and our group was under the impression that our drinks were on the house due to the inconvenience so of course we stayed. These drinks came back to us along with a tab. After an hour, we were finally seated and the host accidentally spilled one of our (full) drinks which we were charged for at the end of the night. We got our order in around 8 but did not receive our food until after 9. To top it off, we didn't have silverware to eat our food when it arrived - meanwhile, our waitress was taking shots at the bar along with other employees. The burgers were good however the entrees were nothing more than a late night snack due to the small portion size. A few people in our group left hungry and ended up at a fast food joint. Overall, I will not be coming back for dinner but it's a good spot if you're just looking for drinks. read more

Held a corporate event here in the private room upstairs and the experience far exceeded expectations. Megan is the manager there and she walked the entire party through a progressive bourbon tasting over the period of about an hour and even the individuals in the party who were not huge bourbon fans really enjoyed themselves. The ambiance and staff are the best part of this place. The back patio is adorable! I love the "waitlist" feature on Yelp which helped provide an even better experience. The food is honestly just ok. I had the loaded Mac and cheese, good, but nothing I would crave again. Went here on a Friday during Covid-19 without a reservation, waited 20 minutes for a table to clear, and was seated upstairs in their event space. Had the poutine, southern chicken sandwich as well as a handful of bourbons off their menu. Every time I have been to this spot (4+ times) the owner has personally come to my table and chatted with my guests and I. They have a great handle on their food items-like the homemade garlic dill pickles they use in their dishes, the homemade fresh cracked pepper southern gravy on their poutine, along with their own oil based hot sauce on their chicken sandwich. An extensive whiskey/bourbon/scotch menu is extremely well stocked; they have an entirely separate menu to hand out when you are seated. This place has been meticulously thought out in terms of the menu-both drink and food, as well as the decor and service. Menu looked great but the food was bland. Started with the deviled eggs. Tasted like store bought already made eggs(no flavor). Tried the hush puppies too and they were good but needed a little salt. For mains, we got poutine, New York strip and turkey Reuben. Steak was very hard to chew and lacked seasoning. Poutine cheese curds were still cold and not warm or melty at all. The "gravy" seized up and was not good. The beef tips mixed within were hard to chew and flavorless. Friend said the Reuben was good but I didn't take a bite. read more
