Cheap, fast, and good quality. I had been wanting to get some pants hemmed for over a year, well finally one day I drove by One Hour Alterations and dropped them off. The seamstress had me try on the pants just to show her what length I wanted the pants. I showed her and she told me it was going to be $6 and they would be ready by Monday (I dropped them off on a Saturday right before they closed.) I was very surprised but how fast they turned around the clothes. I picked up the pants and you couldn't even tell they had been hemmed they looked like new and that's the length that they were originally in. I would highly recommend that this place for pants hemming, I can't comment on other services. read more

First time I've gotten a pair of jeans altered and I'm glad I did it here. Dropped off my jeans late on Tuesday 10/17 (maybe 20 minutes before closing) and they were kind enough let me put them on and show them how I wanted them sized. They were originally pretty baggy and loose and I wanted them hemmed with a more tapered/snug fit. Just picked them up this afternoon Thursday 10/19 and I'm so happy with how they the look and fit on me. I've got several other pairs of pants I know I will be bringing for them to alter. read more

No sense of customer service! I dropped off my clothes for alterations and picked them up worse off then they were before! I needed to make the straps on a swimsuit longer so I called One Hour Alterations to see if they could add a longer strap using spandex material. I called this place twice before coming over to ensure they had what they needed and didn't need me to bring the fabric for the strap. Once i dropped off my swimsuit, I asked for a 3rd time if they had the white fabric they needed and they said yes. When I went to pick up my suit 3 days later, I was told they didn't have the material after all, but had already cut the original straps off! At no time did they apologize or offer to get the material needed and have me pick it up at a later time, they just told me they couldn't do it anymore after they already made it worse by cutting the suit. Now, instead of longer straps, I have no straps. They said they called that afternoon to tell me (I did have a missed call from a random number), but when I called it back, they didn't pick up and they have no voicemail service. The woman had the nerve to tell me I should have kept trying to call back until I got through! I will never go back here again. They are unorganized, the place is a mess, and they have no customer service at all! read more

Just had a bad and annoying experience at this place. Came in on a Wednesday morning thinking I can have same day pick up like the name said within an hr. The woman working there said how busy she was and asked if I can come back on Friday, then changed her mind and said Thursday. It was just for hemming a shirt (one line) at the front and she charged me $6, which is fine since it was near my house. I came back the next day at the same time like she asked and it was unfinished. She showed me where she was going to hem it and asked me to wait around while she finished it. It was ok, ended up waiting in my car cuz the place kinda had a funky smell of spoiled food. Got my shirt and left, never coming back due to the bad service. Don't understand why if it took her 10 mins in the first place that I could have just have waited around the first day and not drive back and forth. Stay true to your mmkay?! I've gone here twice, to hem my prom dress (shortening two layers- $80) and my mother's gown, (two layers - $40), to which I received good quality. But after coming in recently to hem up only the sheer front layer of a dress (only the backside) by 2 inches, she charged $30... I drove over to the cleaners place right next to New Sam Kee in the plaza with Maxim (Aborn Rd.) and she charged only $12 for same day pickup for the same exact quality. read more

I came in with an ugly prom dress and left with my dream dress! I came in thinking I just needed a dress hem. They worked patiently with my indecisive self. I tried the dress on, and she pointed out a problem with the way the slit was made. I've always known the dress looked a bit weird, but I thought it was just the design. Turns out the company made my slit in the incorrect part, so the dress would shift and pull in the opposite direction. She had to completely fix the lining of my dress and create a whole new slit, along with hemming it. As she was writing my receipt she changed it from 60 to 50! So kind! I gladly tipped her the money back anyways. I came back a week later loving my dress. Would 10/10 recommend. read more

I first called to see i they were able to make a dress shorter for me because many bridal stores said its a lot of work and really hard to do. The owner of the shop said " i could do anything." and she did made my dress shorter! It was hard because it was a dress with tulle on the bottom. Originally she wanted to charge me $45 for makig it shorter and steaming it but she ended up giving me a discount to $35. The dress came out amaaaazzzing!! Came here for the first time to get my dress for prom altered. They charged me 48$ for hemming and to fix the shoulder part. I came on march 12 then the guy told me to pick up today march 20. When i came there she was on the phone then pointed at my dress and said "oh not done yet, be done in an hour" i was like wtf? She's barely doing it on the day of the pick up. What were they doing on the 8days i gave to them to get it done? I know they have a lot of things to do but I'm paying and gave them time to do it. Wonderful experience! Came in with some jeans to be hemmed. They first told me it would take a couple hours, which was fine, but when I mentioned I didn't live in the area, they told me to wait 20 minutes and it would be done. She has always gotten my stuff done on time as she said she would and has always altered my clothing without ruining it. It is done at a house, but the pricing here is affordable and worth it. I seldom make bad reviews but this place is very unprofessional. The name "One Hour Alterations" is definitely not worthy. I brought my shirts 3 days ago to be altered. They called me that it will not be done as promised and gave a later time. When I came to pick up my shirts, they don't have it done yet (not even started). And the worse thing is when I asked them why it was not done yet, they were not even apologetic and told me that they cannot get it done because they were busy. This is a long overdue review but the work she did for my sister and I is worth the 5 stars. Both my sisters and myself were in a wedding back in May and we never tried on the dress until a few days before..... we both had gained some weight. We took our dresses here the DAY BEFORE the wedding and needed it taken out AND hemmed, I wish I knew the lady's name because she worked all day and night (literally sweating when we came in) and our dress was ready first thing in the morning. The bride never found out. Even with all the work she had done price was very reasonable and I'm getting married soon and plan on bringing my wedding gown here. read more
