We ordered the -Porkchop fried rice: delicious, Porkchop was tender and fried perfectly, and the rice had a bunch of umami and was not greasy. -Pork&Shrimp pan fried dumpling. Very delicious and super Juicy (that it squirted when I took a bite) and great flavor! -Pork Xia Long Bao was good, skin was thin but not as thin as Din Tai Fung. but I would order this again too. -Black Pepper Beef pan fried Udon was tasty. Beef was tender. Ambiance was very cute and modern! Loved the decoration and design. Service was great, very attentive and constantly checking if we needed water. Location is that it's in a very small shopping center with limited parking spaces. What a fun transformation this turned out to be from the previous restaurant. Arrived a little after they opened and was seated inside right away. Leo was our server and was so friendly helping us navigate the menu as well as offering his recommendations. The food arrived quickly once we placed them. Everything was delicious. Each selection was light tasting and fresh without feeling too greasy or heavy. No alcohol is served here. This place got busy where people were waiting outside. Not sure if they will use their patio during warmer weather but plan to come early or expect a wait. Parking can be challenging as their lot is small. Street parking is available. read more

Solid dumpling spot in San Marcos! Very clean and modern interior with killer dumplings. The service was great too! They have aunties making dumplings in an open kitchen which was awesome to see. Between the two of us, we got their Xiao Long Bao, Chicken and Corn Wontons in spicy sauce, pan fried rainbow vegetable dumplings, and popcorn chicken. We thought it'd be way too much food, but to our surprise only toon like 3-4 dumplings home lol. Edit 7/30/25 updated post with the correct photos. The review is still true though. Apologies for the incorrect photos the first time. If I could, I would have XLB all the time because I love them so much! The perfect XLB has a thin wrapper and a good amount of soup and flavor. With that said, the XLB was average on our visit which is weird because you can see the ladies making them fresh but fresh doesn't mean they will be perfect. The restaurant was packed when we arrived but we got a seated right away. The workers were extremely friendly and nice and the vibe was good. We ordered the pork and shrimp XLB, spicy wontons, sticky rice, beef noodles, and egg tarts. Everything tasted fine except for the XLB. The wrapper they used XLB was way too thick! They were chewy but not in a good way. I would say almost stale when steamed. The flavor was fine though. The issue occurred when they did not charge me what was on the receipt. They overcharged and there was a lot of confusion so it was a huge headache in the end. Unfortunately, I don't think I would return because the food was just okay. read more

Some of the biggest dim sum I've ever seen. We definitely over-ordered for two people (oops lol) but anything we didn't finish we took home and ate later that night. I'm glad that their menus and the condiments at the tables are clean... sometimes the condiments at restaurants seem sticky and obviously not wiped down between uses, but that is not the case here! Staff were super attentive and checked on us several times even though the place was so busy. They were so happy when I asked a question about the restaurant! I could see that they really care about whether the customers are enjoying everything. I already knew I would come back because of the food, but the friendliness made me want to come back even more. The food is good quality, fresh, looks like it was made with care, and they are not stingy with the portions. Some orders come with 3 pieces per order, but the pieces are not small. Today was my first time in. I was intrigued by this new restaurant. The fried rice----flavorless. The Vegetable Dumpling Udon Soup----is okay. Nothing I'd return for. The service----wasn't awful. Just not well trained: My server "Mona" was nice enough. I'd have happily tipped her higher but I come from a hospitality trained family. This young woman did not much more than take my order then show up to hand me the bill. No actual service. For instance----I wanted to explore their menu and initially ordered more than I could eat alone. This means a couple of "to go" containers at the close of the meal. Mona dropped off two containers on the table immediately disappeared. I have a fractured ankle. Barely hobbled my way to this table. Mona left it to me to haul my broken ankle and foot up from the table---balance as best as I could manage while trying to fill the containers without spilling food. Seriously Mona? Oh lord. Consider HELPING out your customers by taking the few seconds it would take you to pour their leftovers into the containers. One container was about half the size it needed to be to hold the food. When I showed this to Mona she brought a different container----but it was HALF the size of the original one. read more

We go here pretty much every Sunday after my son's swim lessons. The XLB is chef's kiss. The spicy wonton, the noodles, etc. so delicious. I'm going to just go ahead and give everything 5 stars even though I haven't eaten everything off the menu. Why? If you can get my 4-year-old to eat, you must be the exquisite. The staff are on it and are very polite. I recommend the Honeydew Smoothie, if you're going to drink something other than water. I do wish they had some sort of alcohol, but not a big deal. A newcomer to San Marcos with great food and outstanding service. I visited One More Bite on a regular weeknight and was surprised to find it packed with customers after their recent re-opening. The service was quick and incredibly enthusiastic/friendly. The lights were a bit aggressive, but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. I ordered the Thai Tea Boba not expecting much, but was blown away by the quality of tapioca and quantity for less than six dollars. We then ordered the house salt and pepper wings and the pork soup dumplings. The wings were crispy and very hot, but I found the flavor a bit underwhelming, perhaps it's just not for me. The dumplings, however, were exceptional. To me, I cannot tell the difference between this and Dim Sum, and for a fraction of the price in my local area I will be returning. If you're in San Marcos and craving dumplings that actually taste handmade with love, this is the spot. It's casual, comfortable, and feels homey in the best way. We went on a chill Wednesday night, so it wasn't busy. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. The place is clean and spacious, and you can literally watch grandmas in the corner folding dumplings like pros. It's cute, honestly. There's also a foggy little fountain on the side that gives the place some personality. The bathroom setup threw me off a bit, though. Private stalls but shared sinks. I'll let you picture that one. We started with the tofu in spicy sauce. Simple and tasty, though the magic really comes from that sauce. The fried pork chop was crispy, juicy, and just right. The house special wings were okay, not bad, but not amazing either. If you've had Vietnamese fish sauce wings or garlic butter ones from places like Gluten Jam or Golden Chopsticks, those still win. The pork xiaolongbao stole the show. Thin skin, rich broth, tender filling. Not Din Tai Fung level thin, but honestly, really good for San Marcos. The shrimp and pork shumai were huge and juicy, definitely not a one-bite deal. And the pork wonton soup was pure comfort. Big wontons, light broth, very cozy. If I had to pick two dishes, it's definitely the xiaolongbao and the wonton soup. They're what this place does best. Parking is the only headache. Small lot, tight spaces, and if you drive a truck, you might be circling for a while. Final Thoughts I'd absolutely come back, especially when that dumpling craving hits. After hiking, we stopped by this place for some dim sum. The inside was nice-airy and spacious. Service was fantastic with friendly and helpful staff. However, the food was a bit of disappointment. While the portions were great, the flavors are missing. Everything we had - soup dumplings, steamed dumplings, shumai, shrimp dumplings, egg buns, sesame balls - were all a bit bland and lacking the savoriness. With that being said, there's really no other dim sum places nearby so if you're craving some dim sum and don't want to drive far, this place with its great service and good portions could be satisfy that craving. read more

The shrimp dumplings were filled with a lot of shrimp. And the rice noodle was delicious. The shumai was also delicious. We also enjoyed the soup dumplings, egg tart, and garlic edamame. The staff is attentive and very friendly. When it was time to order I might've been excited to try lots of things on the menu that our waiter told us it might be a bit too much food for 2 people. I really appreciate that he let us know because even after we removed some items we still had leftovers. Everything was good! I definitely recommend others to give this place a try!
