Food was good overpriced I think we ordered dumplings and they didn't come with any side dishes like salad vegetables or rice. The noodles were good and had some veggies. We tried the steamed bbq pork buns. We never had before they were very nice but dry...the restaurant was very busy and restaurant was filled when we left. Maybe that's why... I knew ahead of time this place would be busy at lunchtime, so I met my friend around 1PM hoping some of the crowd might have started to ease up. First thing that was interesting (odd) was that when I got up to greet my friend the bench I was sitting on started to tip over. Never seen that happen with a booth before. We filled out the order card and didn't have to wait very long for the food to start arriving at the table. My friend pointed out that there were no dip cups for the vinegar, soy sauce or chili oil so we improvised and used our plate and soup spoons. We shared the onion pancake, roe mushroom shrimp and pork Shumai, Shanghai vegetarian bun, fried sesame ball, pork long bao and I had seaweed salad which I like but my gf doesn't care for at all. The dressing and texture was very good. Most everything was tasty and freshly prepared. The broth in the pork long bao was bland but the other flavors were fine. The shrimps in the Shumai was chewy and overcooked, which is a reason I took off some points. As I was leaving I had to laugh when I went to use the men's restroom and an employee was pretending to use the urinal to use his phone. After he realized he had been noticed he put the phone away and continued to pretend. Even with some of the things that took away from our first experience here I might come again to try different dumplings and dim sum. read more

Scene- my wife and I at here on Saturday night March 2nd. We live in Wildomar and it was our first time dining here. It was rather busy at 8pm and the restaurant was well lit and clean. We had no idea how to order the dumplings, and probably did it wrong, but everything we ordered was good. We had the shrimp fried rice, and it didn't seem to be traditional fried rice, but it was still good. The reason we will go back, is the service is unreal. If you make eye contact with anyone, they immediately come over to make sure you are ok. Everyone was nice, helpful and very attentive. I would give it 5 stars, but I will google the proper way to enjoy dumplings before we go again. LOL. Give this place a try. read more

We finally were able to come in and try the dumpling house we have been so anxious to try. When you enter you are greeted with an iPad to check in, I totally recommend checking in through Yelp as it can cut your wait time substantially. We didn't wait too long (20 minutes) in the waiting area which fits around 12 people. Once we sat down the waiters immediately gave us water. We looked over the menu, checked off our order list and waited for only 5 minutes for the waiter to pick up our order. We were not sure how big the bao and wontons were here, so we ordered a lot. We got edamame spicy tofu, xiaolong pork and shrimp bao, spicy wontons, stir fried beef and broccoli, scallion pancake, popcorn chicken, and steamed pork wontons. Everything was fresh, it tasted great and we were very full by the end of the dinner. I do wish they had more vegetable items, IE green beans and cucumbers. Wait staff was very attentive and kind. I overheard another diner tell the waiter he did not know how to eat the dumplings and the waiter implored the diner to please let them know next time so that they could give him some tips on the best way to enjoy the xiaolongbao as it may be a new experience to some in the area. Parking was easy, food was awesome, the ambiance was friendly and unpretentious. They did not have any music playing and the lights were bright. Nice place for a family dinner or cozy date night. The dim sum is pretty good, especially for this area. We tried their shrimp hargao (steamed shrimp dumplings, you only get 3 pieces as opposed to the typical 4 at other restaurants), lotus sticky rice (you get 1 piece as opposed to 2-3 at other restaurants). I would say it's as comparable as SGV in terms of quality and taste but in terms of quantity and pricing, it 's a bit on the high side . If you're craving some authentic Chinese dim sum in this area and you don't mind the price, then go for it. They do have other non dim sum dishes like wonton noodles as well that We tried the shrimp wonton noodle soup and a mango cheese smoothie. Wonton was decent, the broth could have been a bit more flavorful but was ok. The smoothie was good. The restaurant does have a pretty nice atmosphere and looks cleanly as well. As close as we can get to din tai fung as we can get. The dumplings are really good. We keep going back. They have other delights, too. Chicken fried rice looks simple but with multitudes of flavor.
