Large cuts for the salmon and hamachi bellies. The appetizers were also very good. The service is super fast and the staff memebers were efficient on clearing your table and bringing out your next orders. Grest for small or large groups. Best time to go is lunch. Kind of a small place, but a pretty sweet deal if you want quick service on iPads for small tastings of sushi! Though I've heard this place often has quite a wait outside during peak dinner hours, I came with a friend during a Friday night to no wait (prob since it was the clutch game for the Warriors Championship). Theres ample street parking down a bit from the restaurant if you don't mind a small walk, but also public lots as well. While it's a relatively small place with tables for 2-4 people (hence the usual wait), it's pretty fun and cool that you can order, look at the menu, and call the waiter on the iPad provided for each table. It makes for quicker service for diners, but also less work for the staff--win win! As for selection, there is less of an extensive fish selection as other places, but everything we ordered was very fresh! I liked how things were mostly in small portions--you could order by piece for nigiri and 4pc for rolls for about the same price as other places. That meant we could try more small plates as we went and order what we enjoyed again. Some notable things we ate was the Hot Line roll with spicy tuna and the special of fresh salmon belly nigiri. I liked the California Rolls here because they use real crab rather than imitation as well. While there were some so-so rolls (often those with cucumber that was kind of overpowering for rolls), I'm glad we got to try a small taste of them...probably just wouldn't order them again next time. Service is super quick after you order the rolls on the iPad--especially for nigiri. I would definitely come back again for tasting some fun rolls! One Piece Sushi is my favorite recent find. It's the perfect place for affordable sushi for lunch or dinner. We dropped by for a late lunch on Sunday and were seated right away. All the tables along the walls are hooked up to tablets where you can place your order, very similar to sushi establishments in Japan. We ordered a variety of things: Appetizers: Miso Soup, Udon Carbonara. Rolls - Lover's Roll and Firecracker Roll. Nigiri - Hamachi, Seared Sake, Salmon Belly, Hamachi Belly, Aji, Tai, White Tuna, Sake, Suzuki. My favorites being the Seared Sake and Tai. All which came out to be about $40, which is not bad considering the variety! The menu has a nice selection and the nigiri was very fresh. Service was great and parking was easy. I wasn't too sure about trying this place because I've heard mixed reviews. Arrived around 5:30pm on a Thursday evening. We were seated right away and the place itself is dark and smaller than i had thought. It's nice that you can order on an Ipad. However, getting a hold of the servers took some time. We had to call them several times until one finally served us more water, by that time we were leaving. The food is okay. the rolls, come in 4 pieces. The nirigi and sashimi were okay. They have specials and the only one i like was the salmon belly because as that piece is more expensive, it was worth it. Total was about $50 for two. Not bad, i was satisfied. I really wanted to love this place but ended up having mixed feelings. As others have mentioned, the seared sake is divine. I was also impressed with the quality of the other items I tried - yellowtail, snapper, and scallops to name a few. Not only were the options endless, they were also affordable! As for improvement: I wish they had tako wasabi by itself like how it normally is served - not atop rice. I also wish their rice was prepared correctly. It was too firm for sushi rice. The main reason for docking 2 stars are due to the uninvited guests buzzing around the dining area. One or two accidental flies are excusable, not a swarm full. Will I be back? Most likely, yes. This place has SUPER cheap sushi. Inside is pretty small, but the tables are nicely spread out. You order everything through an iPad, including water and hot tea. They are always quick and serve you quickly. Service is okay, as it can be difficult to get someone. I always order the salmon belly and the piece is h u g e. The fish is also fresh too. They also have other dishes like udon, pancake (personally wasn't a fan but), gyoza, etc, which are good too, but are kinda small in serving.The rolls are only four pieces so you can definitely try a bunch of them. Of course, it is really cheap, so I have to say that the quality in sushi isn't the best I've had. But, it's nice for a quick and satisfying meal. Food - oh my goodness, I was blown away :') Ok please don't laugh at me but after my first bite, I literally teared up bc of how good it was! The hamachi belly, salmon belly and smoked salmon is where the money is!!! The hamachi and salmon belly just melts in your mouth like butter...you barely have to chew! The smoked salmon has this smoked out aroma and they sprinkle just the right amount of salt on top. The tuna tataki was also pretty good...lightly seared with a sweet teriyaki(?) sauce. I love how at one piece, you can order on an iPad so you don't have to wave down a waiter to do so.its a very tiny place and can get super crowded (especially on the weekend), but if you know beforehand that you are going to dine here, you can make reservations by phone. Sushi here is pretty inexpensive and you get a very generous amount of fish in each piece. I highly recommend the seared salmon. It's so fatty and rich in flavors with a nice charred taste. If they have it, uni here is pretty good also. If you've never had u I, be wary that is an acquired taste. You get that deep sea taste but has a sweet buttery after taste. The snow demon roll is also a must get. California roll with seared walu on top. You probably can tell I love my fish seared haha. Everything else is good but doesn't really stick out to me. 4.5 stars for the value of this place. My bf and I wanted to eat at Amami, but we were not down for the hour long wait. One Piece appealed to us because there was no line, we ordered through the touch screen tablet, service was quick, and the food was amazing for the price. The restaurant is a bit plain, so don't expect much interior design wise. Doesn't bother me, because I'm here for food! Using the tablet is easy. It's categorized by drinks, appetizers, rolls, sashimi, dessert, etc, and you just pick what you want in each category. The price autosums at the bottom right corner. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't packed surprisingly. Interior is very bare bones and dark, with not a lot of tables in my opinion, but it gets the job done. Everything here is done through an iPad (ordering, bill, calling for assistance) with minimal encounters with waiters and waitresses. No problem for my girlfriend and I as you can order as much as you want in one go instead of having to keep reordering. One of the bonuses that I instantly love about this place is that you are able to order sashimi. A lot of places that do self service, AYCE, buffet, or revolving sushi bars never really include sashimi, so this was a welcomed option! $1.45 per piece of nigiri or sashimi and the portions of fish were huge! The nice slab of salmon sashimi tasted fresh and wasn't chewy or had that weird cold taste you get from lower quality places. Rice on the nigiri was a little too much for our liking, but the large slice of fish on top made it worth it. Definitely stick with nigiri and sashimi when ordering from here! Here's a tip: skip the rolls, maki, specialty rolls, and bowls. Honestly those aren't worth the $2, $3, $4, $5 price tags, but I guess you get what you pay for cause it's so small. Look at my picture of the Tiger Roll! $4 for 4 TINY pieces of skimpy salmon and spicy tuna. Seeing that really irked me the wrong way. The Chirashi bowl was also kind of small, for $5 you get 3 pieces of assorted fish and 2 pieces of tamago. I really rather have all 5 pieces assorted fish instead since the tamago didn't taste like anything. We ended up ordering dessert as well since they had options we haven't seen offered before. $2.45 per dessert, we got the Japanese custard pudding (vanilla), black sesame cheesecake, and yuzu cheesecake. The Japanese custard pudding just reminded us of creme brulee without the burnt sugary top. The black sesame tasted very rich and nutty, and the yuzu was the opposite where it was a bit lighter tasting. Again the desserts are like the rolls where they're dinky little pieces, but for the price I guess we can't complain too much. Our bill = $51 Nigiri x11 Sashimi x8 Chirashi x1 Tiger Roll x1 Dessert x3 Overall better quality and value compared to say, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Cupertino, but stick to just the sashimi and nigiri if you wanna get your monies worth! read more

Price/Value - GREAT!! $1.50 on average for one piece of nigiri I think is definitely worth it. Especially since their quality of fish is very good and they give you large and thick cuts of fish. I think that this place is best for groups of 2-4 since the dishes usually come with 3-4 pieces for sharing. You end up racking quite a large bill if you have more than 4 people and are trying to try a little bit of everything. Food - I would stay away from the special rolls just because I personally prefer the thick cuts of fish they provide for nigiri and sashimi. Chirashi bowl was very worth it because they gave you 4 pieces of fish and 2 tamago served with rice. Worth it at the price of $5 in my opinion. Highly recommend trying the salmon belly and uni. These are usually the more expensive ones, but they are very good. I also really enjoyed the Salmon Cake, even though it didn't resemble an actual cake. The Wasabi Octopus was spicy yet very refreshing. Service - Can be a little slow because it seems like there's usually just one or two people waiting on the tables. The sushi and appetizers came out relatively quickly, but if you order in piecemeal, they can be a little slow. You place all your orders on the iPad-like device at the table and designate how many pieces or dishes you would like. You also order your tea and water here, which actually took longer to get to our table than the food did. Overall, experience was great and the food at that value was perfect! I've been coming here since 2018? I love it, especially when it's not crowded and I can easily find parking. However it is less busy than when they first opened. It's a cool date night place. 2020 the prices went up and the nigri ($1.70) and shashmi ($1.45) are now on two separate pages. I guess they caught on to me getting full faster with the rice. After splitting the bill evenly, it comes down to ~$35-40 per person with tax and tip. A few of my favorites: salmon, salmon belly, walu, salmon lover cup, demon roll, green tea cheese cake The quality is there, but don't expect A+ quality. But you get more than what you pay for. Came here with the boo on a Sunday night, a little past 7PM and got the 2nd to last table available. Per usual we ordered tea for me water for him through the tablet first. Then we go for the stuff we ALWAYS get: seared sake nigiri, salmon nigiri $1.45/p (hellllllla good), salmon and hamachi belly $2.45/p (for sure not the fattiest but maybe that's why I like it. My eyes always roll back when I eat them hahahah), unagi nigiri $2/p (used to be part of the $1.45/p section but not no mo bahaha, still delicious!), andddddd last but not least the udon carbonara!!!!! The wait for the food took a little longer than usual, maybe about 15 mins? But usually my bf and I can seriously be in and out in 30 mins since it's easy to order, eat the food, press the tablet button for the bill, pay and leave. Yes the udon carbonara needs a section on its own. They microwave to prep this but it's udon with pieces of cooked salmon covered with carbonara sauce and topped with tobiko. It seriously does not take a lot to impress me as long as there's a chew to my noodles and when flavors hit the spot. This one does it for me. ($5/plate) I don't recommend the rolls either ($4 for 4 pieces), the size tiny af and taste is just mehhhhh. I don't like the hamachi nigiri only because of the sauce they put on it. I've never asked them to take out an ingredient or anything since I try not to complicate things. But they really do keep it nice and simple, the way I like it. Tried a couple of their desserts like Japanese custard and matcha or mango cheesecake before. My friends and I tried a whole bunch of stuff on their menu too and it's always delicious to somebody hahahah. However, the ones I listed above is and will always be the go-tos. The waitress explain how their restaurant works. You have to order with a table instead of using a physical menu. It's quite an interactive place. You have a few categories to browse through, Their categories include Drinks- Water, tea, soda, etc, Nigiri and sashimi- Different types of fish with rice or just the fish itself Homo Maki- Small sushi rolls Rolls- Hand rolls and other med size rolls Special rolls- rolls that are baked or rolls like caterpller rolls and others Appetizers- agedashi tofu, monkfish liver and much more Side dishes Donburi and Tataki- Japanese rice bowls Desserts- They have a lot of ice cream and mochi ice cream Today's special- Salmon Belly nigiri and other specials So my friend and i ended up going a little to crazy over the tablet. We had a lot of fun using it, and i loved how there was a picture next to the name. I do wish there was a description for the specialty rolls, so i know what i'm ordering. Here's what we ordered Aji, Hamachi, Hokkgai, Hotate, Ika, Sake sashimi, Smoke Salmon nigiri, Suzuki, Tamago, Walu, White Tuna, Cooked Scallop, Lobster Salad, 49er rolls, Fire Cracker, Anikmo, I have to admit, ALL their sushi was very fresh and very good. Okay so to be honest with y'all, I was not expecting much from this place. In fact, I kept my expectations low so that I could avoid being disappointed because let's be real- who wants to be let down by sushi? That's cold. But, thus place is actually pretty darn good and you should give this place a try. Newly opened in Millbrae, the restaurant itself is pretty small. I'm not completely sure if there are more tables in the back or where the bathroom is since I didn't need to use it, but if there is no back then there's really only about 7 tables in here. Not really the place to host big parties. My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm and there was only one other couple there besides us so we were seated quickly and serviced quickly as well. Since it was our first time, the waitress that greeted us gave us the run down on everything and it's honestly super simple to understand. There are different tabs depending on the items and you can keep track of your orders on the tablet as well as request the bill and split it, too. The choices are definitely limited, but you really can't beat it for $1.45 each piece. Just be aware that not all items are $1.45. My boyfriend and I got hamachi, red snapper, albacore, seared salmon, crab salad mushrooms, tuna tataki, and lion king. All were good, although we didn't care for the texture of it. I'm impressed by the simplicity and freshness of this place. The restaurant has a very minimalist feel with a touch pad at the table for you to order from. The servers are friendly and do not linger much in the dining area. I am easily intrigued by visuals, which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. Translate: The more I play with the touch pad menu, the more I end up ordering. Luckily, the prices are really low starting at $1.45 and going up to $5.00. I think the steal of the menu is the yaki onigiri which is $2.00 for two pieces which are nicely griddled. The rolls and lobster salad are my next favorites, but with the freshness of the pieces, you can't really go wrong here. Only downside so far is that they were out of a couple of the nigiri specials that I wanted. I hope I will be able to visit often before this place gets popular. Service was pretty minimal but there were a couple ladies circling around to help out. Sushi quality was really good for the price! The seared Salmon Nigiri is a MUST GET. They have an interesting selection of Japanese beers as well so its worth a try. The only down-side I have is with the gyu-don; when people say its not that much meat, it is like really not that much meat. It was only $5 so it makes sense but I would rather pay an extra $5 to have a reasonable amount of beef on top of the rice. I suspect there is some FISH FRAUD going on here. There is no way that "salmon" I ate was just actually salmon. The right side had a salmon piece in top which was good and fine, but the left one with the "salmon inside was darker and tasted different. Idk if they thought because they're bite sized and inside the roll that no one would notice. I am not a fan of soy sauce so my senses are centered on the fish alone. Cheap sushi places are known to switch out their fish and no one would know because they don't taste quite different and once they're filleted they all look the same. I just enjoy the convenience of ordering food so you don't have to flag down a server to order more food until you are full. Meh. The sushi rice wasn't great, the fish was bland. The tempura was crunchy and prawn wasn't over cooked, but the traditional dipping sauce - I forgot what it's called - tasted like water. The side salad had a piece of rotten lettuce in it. read more

This place was a bit odd to me. It lacked the charm, the comfort, and coziness you get from other sushi spots. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by literally no one. I didn't see one single staff in the dining room until after waiting for about 5 minutes (according to my iPhone restaurant games, that warrants a walk out). It didn't help that the restaurant was dimly lit at 6:00 pm while the sun was still out and the white walls were bare. It gave a very eerie feeling of a jail cell. As for the sushi, they are relatively cheap but you have to remember that you are paying per piece/nigiri instead of the usual 2 pieces per order. The sushi wasn't bad nor was it exceptional, but definitely better than other places in the area (with the exception of the Amamis). Surprisingly enjoyed their dessert selection. Lovely little place! I like that you order on a tablet; it's very simple and high-tech. All the prices are listed and you can select, add, remove whatever you'd like. The portions for the nigiri are huge. Most pieces I had tasted fresh, though some kinds were a little fishy/not fresh (like the ikura, sadly). The crab in the California roll tasted funky... If you want quality sushi at a decent price, this is the place! You order on an iPad which makes it fun! If you want water/ tea, you would also order that with the IPad. The raw scallop/ salmon are my favorite ones. Me and my bf spent $40 and we walked out full without feeling bloated. We've been here around 5 times and will be coming back soon! read more
