Dear OneSpeed, you're really the only pizza and pasta restaurant a guy would ever need. I could go through the myriad ways you should try them out (or continue supporting them), but here are just a few: - Their food is always, always fresh and uses local topnotch ingredients. - Their Rick's pizza, which comes with canadian bacon, thin sliced potatoes, caramelized onions, olives, chevre, fontina, and salsa verde, is legendary. Their pepperoni, which comes with mushrooms, is also just as good. - Their Garden Lettuces Salad (croutons, radishes, pickled onions, house vinaigrette) is a must and one of the best salads in Sacramento. Be sure to add blue cheese, walnuts and even chicken! - They have a great little bar and tap selection. - The employees are always friendly and welcoming. - They have curbside pickup available during COVID-19! So if these reasons aren't enough, there is no convincing you. My husband and I heard many great reviews of this place and decided to give it a try knowing they were open for dine in and had outdoor seating. Service: 5 stars-Service was quick and our server was attentive. Staff: 5 stars- Staff wore masks and were friendly and personable. They were very welcoming as soon as we walked in. Price: Their prices are reasonable based on the quality of their food. Food: 5 stars- We ordered a garden salad, Rick's pizza and a mushroom pie pizza. A truly great pizza, the special combinations are always interesting, the dough is tender and tasty, the New Jersey Tomato Pie is near perfection. Quietly, one of the best burgers in Sacramento. The Garden Lettuces add Blue Cheese and Walnuts salad is delicious and is easily sharable. Interesting draft and canned beer selections, the house wine is quaffable. This place is a "modern institution" in my humble opinion. More of the Napoli style but always perfectly topped for a thin crispy crust cooked on a wood fired pizza. This is one of our go to pizza places, but if you are expecting an American style pizza (think a pizza place which has the initials R.T.) you will probably be disappointed. If you want a good pizza with a nice crispy crust you will NOT be disappointed. I will add that we typically use pick up, but service on dine in has generally been acceptable. read more

We've been to here couple times before COVID, and this is our first time here since the pandemic. We ordered there for take out. The staff seemed pretty efficient and knew what they were doing, and we were very impressed by how organized and trained to adjust to all those take-put orders. We got our food within 15 min and went home right away. The Gnocchi alla Mushroom Bolognese tasted fine. Besides being overpriced, we don't really have bad things to say about it. The hamburger was very disappointing. The patty was burnt and tasted bitter. The french fries that came with it were all soaky wet. They were not edible. read more

Meh. This place seems overrated. Arrived Tuesday evening around 530p as a party of three we were immediately seated inside (outdoor seating available as well). We had a decent view of the kitchen and were across the room from the bar area. As time progressed there were more patrons entering/ eating inside. Some patrons even opted to sit outside in the frigid 40° weather. Our server was attentive with providing water, choice beverages and giving us time to review the menu. We tried the Jardesca Red Ginger, Spritzer, and a house IPA beer. The drinks were refreshing and tasty. For appetizers we sampled the Brussel sprouts-VERY GOOD (not a sharing size-good serving size for one person), the herbed fries that came with a very tasty dipping sauce-TASTY (this dish was enough to share). For entrees we had the New Jersey tomato pizza-MEH overpriced, lacking fresh flavor, not with $24 (basically a classic Margherita pizza with salami), Pepperoni pizza-MEH again overpriced, VERY SALTY and OVERCOOKED. I could barely cut through a slice because the crust was rock hard, and the Spaghetti- noodles with tomato sauce and basil. We had to send the first spaghetti back as the noodles were too Al dente. The second order or spaghetti was packaged to go- tried it when we arrived to our destination and it was BLAND, Lacking tomato sauce, flavor, seasoning, just lacking luster. We informed our server of the pepperoni pizza and spaghetti flaws but the only offer was for the kitchen to recook the same dish! Yea no-maybe if they offered another selection off the menu I could give this spot more stars and possibly return as a patron. read more

OneSpeed is known for their pizzas, pastas and burgers! Great place for families, friends or with your significant other. They have seating outdoors as well.... parking can be difficult because it's all street parking. You have to be careful because if you try and park in a lot of a store, they have signs up for customer parking only... so parking on the street it your best option. I've been here a couple of times and finally writing my review. Came here the day after Christmas and it was pretty busy!! For an app, we ordered a cauliflower dish that was marinated in garlic and pesto! It was very good for a veggie app! My lady and I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and the hamburger with fries. The spaghetti was decent.... the meatballs were bland and lacked flavor... The burger was decent.... the bun is like for a sub sandwich and the flavor of the burger was bland too... the fries were crispy and good but overall, the entire meal was slightly on the bland side. When we came in the past, the meals have been better but this time around, it wasn't too impressive.... but I would recommend coming here to try! read more

Nice neighborhood place. My boss from NJ ate here when he was out in the area. They have some inside tables and tables in the back which is part of the parking lot with artificial grass and a covering for some shade. We found parking in the street for their parking lot is small since some of it is taken by the tables. It is difficult to get out of too so glad we found street parking. I ordered a pepperoni pizza adding olives and mushrooms. I believe it is a wood oven made pizza for it had some nice burned marks. The pizza was crispy and tasty but I'm not sure if it was the cheese or pepperoni but it was a little bit on the salty side. read more

Tried Rick's, a potato pizza minus bacon - it was delicious; the dish that stole the show for me though was the daily vegetable dish - roasted cabbage with seasoned breadcrumbs. The best gluten free pizza! The crust is flavorful, doughy, and crispy on the edges. They always cook it perfectly. I totally enjoy The New Jersey Pie. The service on New Year's Eve was awesome! We felt welcomed and taken care of. The garden salad is fresh with an assortment of greens and the dressing is light, yet flavorful. We also had the vegetable special Roasted Cauliflower with goat cheese and toasted almonds. Delicious. I also liked that everyone was masked and the place was clean. Oh my goodness the calzone was so so so good. It's super big so two people might not even be able to finish it but everything from the thin fluffy crust to the creamy ricotta was absolutely delicious. We got the Jersey pizza when we went and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients just seemed to be great quality. Lost one star because the service was a little lackluster. We were sat in a corner and it seemed pretty busy, but it took so long for our server to get back to us that we almost called it quits before getting the affogato. We ended up deciding to order it anyways, but made sure to ask for the bill before our server disappeared again forever. The affogato was just okay, but it did feel like it helped round out the meal. One Speed has very good pizza. The preparation is very fast and the ingredients are fresh. I consider them a reliable and tasty option in the Sacramento East Sac area. I do think they could benefit from some outdoor dining, and thus at this time they are take out only. Previously, I enjoyed eating at the restaurant and found the ambiance nice. I love going to local restaurants and this place did not disappoint. We went with a party of 6 and ordered pizza and had plenty of food for everyone. We recommend one pizza per two people, unless you have some hungry friends! The type of pizza is limited, meaning you have about 5-6 to choose from and the rest of the menu is pasta, salads, etc. so you do have options if someone in your party does not like pizza. I'd recommend coming here and enjoying a pizza or whatever your heart desires if your in the area. We stopped in this sweet neighborhood joint for lunch after a festive holiday walk. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful meal with really friendly service. OneSpeed has a great beer selection and we tried a few from the taps before settling on an incredible Rose Ale and an IPA. The Rose Ale was more like a champagne, perfect for a December day. I had the chopped salad, just right with big chunks of grilled chicken, bacon and avocado and my friend had the sandwich special, a decadent grilled cheese with mushrooms and delicious fries. Service, can't complain but not going over the top outstanding kind of feeling which is good because I'll like Minimal conversation. OneSpeed is easily my favorite pizza place in town--I have been coming here for years and have had consistently excellent experiences. The ambiance is exactly what I'm looking for on a Friday evening outing, casual and quaint with a top notch wine & beer list. As others have mentioned parking is tricky, so be prepared, but I promise it's well worth the effort. Don't sleep on the specials, which can be seen on the chalkboard directly to the right as you enter. The service is excellent, friendly and just attentive enough (this is a pet peeve of mine, too much & too little are equally frustrating.) I typically go for a pizza to share, the garden lettuces salad (huge beet fan) and my absolute favorite part of the experience--the frito misto with an extra side of house made aioli. This was a pleasant surprise! Got there on a Saturday night about 6:15 pm and they said it was an hour wait. It was worth the wait. The next hurdle was the waitress, she would disappear for 10 minutes at a time. She was worth putting up with, the food as awesome. We had Italian Salad and Garden Salad both were great. Our friend had the Calzone and ranked about it. We had Gnocchi which was a beautiful presentation, fresh Basil, red onion, green olives and ragu. Parking was okay to find for this place- all street parking and it was right when they opened at 5 so there were spaces to find. Outdoor eating area was just okay, not much to it, but it served its purpose. The service was good and friendly. The pizzas there are outstanding ! I had a vegan pizza which was over the top delicious! All others in my party had a meat pizza and they were quite pleased with theirs too. I'd go back again for this pizza. Had dinner with sister in law and thought we would stop at One Speed. We went a little early after work and so there were plenty of tables available. We were told about specials which all sounded good. We started with the Bruschetta appetizer. We were trying to make up our minds and asked about how big the pizza is. We were told plate size so we all ordered our own. Wow. They are plenty for two or three people so if you are really hungry you may be able to eat your own or split one. Went to OneSpeed for lunner on Saturday. There's a little parking lot in the back, so look there if you can't find street parking. We were greeted quickly and sat shortly after. We decided to share a few dishes which they were okay with. The Chopped Salad was simple yet refreshing, the avocado was very ripe, the chicken was cooked perfectly. The pepperoni pizza with mushrooms was delicious! The pizza sauce tasted homemade. Mushrooms were fresh. The soup of the day was potato leek. It was super chunky. I liked that it wasn't a cream base of too heavy. Now the star of our lunner... dessert! We ordered the peach crisp and the brownie with salted caramel. The peach crisp was our favorite! The peaches were fresh and not canned. The peach, vanilla Ice cream and the crisp mixed together can't be beat.
