I thought I would try Open Road as I had bought a car when it was Union Chevy so I went to look for either a Cruz or Malibu between Christmas and New Years and was met by the salesperson, David. We looked at a number of cars on the lot and he had me test drive a Cruz RS. It had been a loaner car and I loved it. Only 2800 miles. I went back on Thursday and test drove a Malibu and settled on the Cruz RS. The trade in was fair and because of the car being a loaner they came down on the price. The GM came by and said that I was a man of my word and came back when I said I would. We worked on the deal and he came back and said they would do 3 years of oil changes. I pointed out that one fog light was not working. On Saturday I went to pick up the car and the fog light was not working still. Tire pressure on all tires was 5 pounds under where they were supposed to be and I pointed these out to the sales person along with the fact that the oil gauge had not been reset so I did I know they did an oil change. The finance person wrote it up for 5 oil changes and I informed him that I was told 3 years of oil changes. He did not change it. I had to leave and went back a couple of days later and again pointed out these things and the GM came over. They took the car to service and supposedly did the oil change and the gauge was reset. The tires were over inflated and the service manager said he did that to account for bad weather and I can understand that. The fog light was fixed. The GM agreed to 6 oil changes but not the 3 years he originally said. I went back a few days later and picked up the registration but the title could not be found. I received a call a couple of weeks ago from a person who said they were a sales manager and informed him that while I loved the car, I still did not have my title or any proof of 6 oil changes. He said he would call back and never did. I called last week and was told they had the title and I asked if I could pick it up on Saturday and was told I could. I went there and no one could find it. The GM came over and said the title person was not there and I said it has been two months and first I was told it would be mailed, then I was told I could pick it up. He took my name and number and said he would call on Monday. It is Friday and no call. I called them and was told yes they had the title so I informed them I would be there this afternoon. So maybe they will have it and maybe I can get something that says I get 6 oil changes. My prior three cars were Pontiacs from just up the road at the Pontiac/Buick/ GMC dealer and never had these issues and never had issues with the service department. I informed them when I picked up the car that I was not impressed with Service and we shall see when I take it in for one of the six oil changes. read more

A big rip off. They offer services that they can not guarantee. I have been waiting on a part for my vehicle since December of last year. Not only can they not fix my vehicle, they have no clue when they will be able to do so. The part (rocker arm) is on back log and they have no way of getting it from anywhere. (Sounds like a recall to me). After four months, I had no follow-up call, email, or any attempt to contact me other than a letter suggesting that I extent my vehicle warranty to soften the blow of expenses if and when they can repair my vehicle. I have a great suggesting, just give me my money back and let me go elsewhere. Poor customer service, the service manager would not even come to see to address this issue. They insist that I had to pay for an diagnostic of $191, even after I told them what the problem was from having print outs from two other mechanics knowing they didn't even have the part to fix my vehicle. read more

I am in the process of buying a new car. On December 29, 2016 I stopped in and spoke with Fred. He took some information from me and due to the color I wanted which was not yet available he said he would check every two weeks and call me when it was possible to order. Having not heard from him at all my wife and I visited the location the first week of February. My wife noticed he had my name written on a desk pad with a completely wrong number. No idea where that came from. I guess that was the first bad sign. I inquired about the color again and he said it was not available but he would call and get back to me. After we left I continued to research elsewhere. The color became available on Feb 9th. I returned to the dealer on the 10th to try and order the car. Fred was not there. No fewer than 3 other associates tried to assist. They were all unsuccessful and I had to tell them what to do most of the way. One person inquired who am I? My response was it doesn't matter who I am. I know more about this apparently than everyone else and I don't work here. After leaving I got a voice message from Fred saying the color was not available which was wrong and that he called the "workbench". For those unfamiliar, that would be like saying you called the tax return when in reality you call the IRS, not a piece of paper which is what a workbench order is. I visited several dealers in search of the car and secured an order for the car and color I wanted. Not willing to simply leave the preliminary order with Fred that I started I returned on Feb 11th to advise him I was no longer interested and he could cancel it. This is when things got more interesting. Fred continued to tell me the color wasn't available professing he called the "workbench" I showed him the confirmed workbench order I had with another dealer for the car in the color I wanted. Fred became indignant and told me they aren't making that color despite my signed and confirmed order. Obviously he was annoyed for being called out since he was indeed wrong and did not know what he was talking about. In a snippy tone he said to me congratulations good luck with your car in an effort to get me to leave. Although those were the words that came from his mouth he could just as easily have said go to hell. I asked him why was he annoyed? Is it because he was wrong? He proceeded to tell me my order would sit indefinitely and not be fulfilled because they don't make that color to which I responded you're wrong Fred. Fred was all smiles weeks before. How quickly our demeanor changes when we get called out for being wrong! Fred said he would check every two weeks and call me. That never happened. Fred said he would check on the color and was adamant the color did not exist after blowing me off saying he called essentially a piece of paper. I don't know who he called or if he did but if he spoke to anyone they were as clueless as Fred. Fred was nasty with me because I got the car in the color I wanted. That's great customer service. Maybe Fred was mad about being wrong and not making money off a consumer for being incompetent and uneducated about a product he's paid to sell. Fred was the epitome of the shady used car salesman. Happy when his hand was in your pocket. Pissed off at you when he could no longer take anything from you. Maybe that's how Fred earns a living. Bluffing his way through a vehicle sale with uneducated consumers. Not me Fred. Go learn what you're doing and try acting like you care. I know that will be a tough one for you. Fred and I had one thing in common though. While Fred thinks he's RIGHT, I KNOW I'm RIGHT. read more

this is by far the worst dealership i have ever been to. the service dept. is a rip off went for an oil change and rotation of tires. when i was going to leave i realized they never rotated the tires. than the engine started smoking they spilled oil all over . they also let me sit there 6 hours for this HORRIBLE service. they also don't want to honor anything from former owners. a whole day wasted. Turned in leased Chevy Traverse for Equinox. Had excess miles but wanted mileage overs rolled into new monthly payment. In an effort to keep my monthly payment close to what I was paying, I had to go down to the less expensive Equinox. New payment still went up $30 per month but 4 months later I got a letter saying I owed over $2,000 for mileage overs. Sales rep and owner were extremely deceptive and rude. P.S. This was all done when they were Multi Chevrolet and I did not receive bill until dealership was sold to Open Road. read more

Update - Received a call from the Service Manager Don and he was now personally going to take my vehicle for a test drive and verify items that I brought it in for. He was very responsive and knowledgable and called me when he said he would. I didn't have work performed there because there were issues stemming from the original dealership where the vehicle was purchased and they would be handling the repairs. Don was very helpful in communicating with the service department at the other dealership. I would consider bringing my vehicle back to Open Road, but they need to do a better job of keeping their customers informed when things are being delayed and should never have progressed to the point that the manager needed to get involved. read more

I have been a Multi Chevrolet customer for years and have used their service department many times with nothing but great service. Since Open Road Chevrolet on Rt. 22 took over I have had nothing but problems with them! Yesterday I took my 2016 Silverado in for service after I made an internet appointment . First when I got there it was completely empty with 3 advisors sitting at the counter. I walked up and not one picked up their head to assist me. One red haired girl was on her phone looking at Facebook and when I said 'GOOD MORNING" she looked up like I was disturbing her. Next the other advisor who assisted me tried to upsell me an extra 39.95 for a tire rotation that was free with oil change. When I told him it was included and on their Website he became annoyed and got the assistant Manager named Chris. He immediately came over with a HUGE "chip on his shoulder" attitude and told me I was wrong that they don't offer that. When I insisted he told me they changed ownership and that there was nothing he could do!!! Very upset at that point I realized the flyer in my hand that I got in the mail offered a coupon with oil change included tire rotation. Chris the manager finally accepted that. I asked for the Service Manager to complain about the way I was treated but he said he wasn't available. I left at that point (9:30) and awaited a phone call that never came. At 4:30 pm I called them and they said the car was ready. When I picked it up it showed on the invoice it was done at 12:30! Oversight or a F### You? When I paid and when to find my truck I could not find it! With assistance from the clerk we looked for a good ten minutes and finally found it parked way in the rear of the back lot. Oversight or a F###You? The clerk said this never happened before and customers cars were not supposed to be left in the rear lot. Hmmmmm??? DO NOT WALK.....RUN AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!! Went to look at a new Tahoe and was greeted by the owner. His name is Mike. He personally took the time to take me on a test drive I was impressed that the owner himself would do that. I expected him to get me salesperson. When we returned he told me he would respect my time and presented me with a price direct from the factory invoice price. I left a deposit and picked up my new truck the next day. Mike told he just purchased the dealership a few weeks ago. With this type of personal care I will highly recommend all of my friends and family to Mike for a long time. read more

Still waiting over a month for the refund of my deposit $500 for the car not purchased here. Texts to the salesman Nick several times with no response. Its in dispute with my credit card company. In addition, the online inventory is bogus to get you into the showroom. Then they take a deposit to get the car that they never had from another dealer. read more

I am a loyal Chevy owner who has been passed down a 74 Chevy Bel Air Impala. Chevy has been in my family for many years and I have bought Chevrolet's all over the tri-state area. I recently visited Open Road because they had the best , most upfront pricing online. I am always a bit skeptic walking into a car dealership, but and I can honestly say this was the best experience I have had. All the way from the valet's to the managers behind the desk to the free coffee and snacks. I appreciated the being given time to make my decision as I browsed and checkout the the Cruze and the Equinox. Pablo, my sales person showed me all the features and differences between the cars. I was able to test drive at my own pace, I hate when they make you go on strict routes, and ultimately I ended up going with the Cruze. It fit what I needed and came with a ton of features.
