One of the coolest spots in Dallas! Be sure to say what's up to Will and Mac. They're holding that spot down!

I've been coming here for 15yrs+ now. Outside of a change of ownership and a few upgrades, It'll do…read moreis about as consistent as it gets. You know exactly what to expect everytime you go. There is plenty of room to dance and also sit. If you want bottles service for those very busy sold out shows, it's more for convenience of not having to go to the bar and to have a home base to sit if needed. Definitely not the VIP pretentious typical bottle service. Otherwise regular tickets are just as great! Were here to dance, right? Staff is always kind, welcoming and friendly. They also do have a job to do, so there are times they have to be firm and they are not about the riff raff. Respect them and the club and they will respect you. This is a club that remembers why we go out in the first place. This spot strips away all the superficial nonsense of the typical nightlife scene--there's no dress code to stress over and no "gatekeeper" energy. It's a rare, comfortable, no-frills atmosphere where a shared love for the music is the only thing that matters. This isn't a place to "be seen"; it's a space to be yourself. Whether you're a pro dancer or just vibrating in the corner, nobody is judging your style or your outfit. It's pure, unfiltered energy. If you want to dance like nobody is watching with a room full of people doing the exact same thing, you've found home. Go for the sound, stay for the community. Come as you are and come to dance.

Let me put you on to Double D's Bar in Dallas because this spot surprised me in the BEST way…read more I went during happy hour (5-8pm) and their signature cocktails were only $7, so of course I had two and my friend had two too Every single drink was freshly made and so damn good. Like, you can taste the difference. Whatever the cucumber drink was tasted like springtime in Ireland lol. Now let's talk about the vibe because BABY... from the outside, you would NEVER expect what's inside. You walk in and suddenly you're in a full-on 70s-inspired living room. I mean, the velvet-lined hallway and the beaded doorway *should've* been my warning, but nothing prepares you for it There's tons of seating too: comfy couches, chairs, tables, booths, it really feels like you're just hanging out at somebody's very cool house. They've even have a pool table, and right at 8pm an aggressively competitive Uno game breaks out, which was honestly hilarious to watch. This place is such a vibe. Fun, unique, and just different in the best way. 10/10. I'll definitely be back.

The comfy seats, neon lights and unique drinks make for an immaculate vibe. I got the sugar land summer and I really loved the vanilla foam. Thicker and tastier than any foam I've ever had, I want this again. The orange creamsicle part was a little bitter though. I really enjoyed my sweet surrender and would have ubered here instead to have another - the brown butter Bacardi and pecan was great. They cooked and left no crumbs.

Visited for the first time because I came across an event they were having for a Love Island watch…read moreparty. They were also offering half priced wines. Sounds like a win-win to me! The location was pretty easy to find, as I followed the many groups of people into The Statler that I heard recapping the last episode of Love Island. When you arrive up top, the music is lively (a mix of reggaeton and pop with a little sprinkle of hip hop), and you're greeted by a woman at the door who is checking bags and ID. There were a few seating options available first come, first serve, but most of the seating did come with a minimum spend ranging $100-$300. I ordered a glass of wine from the bar which came out to $8. Not bad at all! The staff was friendly, including the manager, who eventually removed some of the reserved signs in areas that required minimum spend so that those of us that came for the watch party could enjoy. I really appreciated that because space was pretty limited as is, so if you didn't buy a cabana or a table, you were kinda screwed. I really had a lovely time enjoying the rooftop vibes. My only feedback is that the staff, while friendly wasn't attentive. I hoped to be greeted and receive a menu to order food but I was not. And also, not the establishments fault but omg people were talking SO much and very loudly at that! It was distracting. I guess they were there more for the vibe and not as a serious Love Island watcher. If they host this again I will certainly return and with friends! :)

I was incredibly disappointed with my experience here. There was a special event happening that we…read morewere never informed about, which completely disrupted the atmosphere. The venue was overcrowded, seating was crammed, and the music was deafening. On top of that, half-naked women and photographers were everywhere, making the whole experience feel weird and chaotic. My friend is extremely conservative and she was uncomfortable the entire time. They aggressively pushed the $50-per-table minimum, leaving us stuck ordering drinks we didn't even enjoy - they were just gross. I was presented with just the credit card receipt, no itemized receipt and they add 20% gratuity but there is no signage outside and of course we were not told verbally by our server either. I didn't double tip. I don't know about you but when the server is honest I am more likely to tip extra but when they are being sneaky I take issue with it. To make matters worse, the views--which should have been a highlight--were obstructed and underwhelming. Out of the four rooftop spots I visited in Dallas, this was by far the worst. Instead of feeling upscale or sophisticated, it came off as trashy. P.S. if you're planning to book on a weekend the minimum goes up to $200 to reserve a table.

My sister and I were looking for a good happy hour and came across a sponsored ad for Backyard's…read moreThursday and Friday happy hour on Instagram. Since the business was actively running the ad, we assumed the promotion was valid and decided to check it out today (2/7/25). When we arrived, there were about 15 staff members standing around and only a handful of patrons. We took a seat at the bar and were given the regular menu. When I asked about the happy hour menu, the bartender simply said, "We don't do happy hour," and walked away. Confused, my sister pulled up the exact ad that was still running on Instagram. The staff then informed us that the promotion had been offered by a former GM who left last week, and rather than honoring the ad or even apologizing for the confusion, they dismissed our concern entirely. It's disappointing when a business pays for advertising but fails to update or manage their promotions properly. If an offer is no longer valid, it should be removed from social media rather than misleading potential customers. Unfortunately, due to this experience, we chose to take our business elsewhere. I hope Backyard takes this as an opportunity to improve communication and ensure their marketing aligns with what they actually offer.
