I visited Russell Cellular in the Village of Oak Creek and spoke with the store manager, Allen. I…read morebelieve it was Friday, 11-14-2025. My intent was to inquire about the Galaxy A36 5G. Alan did not have that model in stock but did have the Galaxy S25 on display. I explained to him that the model I have is old with only 128 Gb of storage. He gave me a quote for the S25 including a trade in with my Galaxy J7V which I stated I was happy with except I need something with more storage capability. I believe after I told him I did not want to spend that much he confused the heck out of me when he referred to a grey box device and after looking up my address stated that my address now qualifies for service but it may be a limited time. He stated he would not charge me for the activation fee since I mentioned earlier that I had a disappointing experience with Verizon when I purchased the Galaxy J7V. He never once mentioned that the grey box device was for 5G Home Internet and never once mentioned the cost of the service. I never mentioned anything about wanting or needing or interested in replacing my home internet. I am not tech savy at all and sat there extremely confused thinking the grey box would be used to activate my phone should I purchase a new one. I understand a sim card is used to activate a new phone so in my confusion I thought the grey box was something new and somehow connected with setting up a 5G phone. He even mentioned I should take the grey box and if I find the Galaxy A36 5G which I initially came in looking for I would be all set. When I got home I started researching what the grey box was and finally discovered it is a modem for 5G home internet. At that point I felt he was trying to deceive me into signing up for 5G home internet. I called his store twice leaving a voice mail message explaining who I was and I had some questions. He never returned my calls. Now I understand why during the time I was there no other customers came in and the store had a limited display. Since that experience I have noticed a lot of advertising for 5G home internet. Are dealers tasked with selling a specific number of 5G home Internet and that is why his communications were not transparent or is he simply desperate for sales? When I mentioned to him what my monthly service fee for my Galaxy J7V he stated I was being screwed. Now that I have had two bad experiences with Verizon I will think about switching carriers. I also feel the need to write to Verizon corporate about my experience. I also might ad during my visit he mentioned a few time his first concern is providing good customer service. How laughable is that?

I tried going to the Verizon Store in West Sedona. But when I went in there, I was not greeted right away. When the young man asked what he could do for me. When I explained that I needed to transfer the data from old to new. Be told me that it would be $40 fee. I explained that I've been a customer of Verizon for many years. He just took a deep breath and sarcastically said he was sorry. Imagine my surprise when I went to the Verizon Store in the Village of Oak Creek. A sharp, dressed man stood up and greeted me right away with a smile. I explained what experience i had in the other store. He assured me that he would take care of it. I was hesitant. But Allen proved to be sharp minded and sorted it within about 15 minutes. The bear part was he didn't charge me. When I offered to tip him some cash. He smiled and thanked me and refused the tip, and asked for a review of my experience instead.

We had just gotten 2 new phones directly from Verizon but my wife's was not working correctly. We decided to stop in to see if they could fix the problem. Chris said that he could fix it. But he had to call someone else to consult with while he worked on her phone settings (as he obviously did not know how to fix it himself). After about 15 minutes, he told us it was fixed. He charged us $80 to fix her phone settings and transfer our contacts. When we got home, my wife's phone still did not work: she could not make outgoing calls nor receive any incoming calls nor texts nor messages. Instead everything came into my phone (and we have separate numbers) !!! I went back to Chris and politely asked for a refund, since he had not fixed the problem. He said he could not refund me, as that $80 was to activate the phones. That was a lie, as we had already paid the activation fee directly to Verizon when we fist got the phones. When I insisted on a refund, he asked me to leave the store!!!! If I could, I would give this store a - 10 stars

Apparently we were not the first customers to ask about insurance support, as the clerk cheerfully gave us the phone number for Verizon insurance claims and told us how the entire process worked. I cannot recommend this repair service highly enough! This is my second experience using Nerdy…read moreNeighbor and If I could give them more than five stars, I absolutely would. The Issue: My smart phone was accidentally thrown into Talk Back mode when my basset hound puppy, unhappy because his sister had grabbed the prime real estate area on the bed which is snuggled into my side, stomped on my chest with the full force of all his 32 pounds centered into one paw. This caused a seismic event on the bed and by the time the shaking was over, my phone was stuck in Talk Back mode. After spending at least two hours trying everything suggested from Google, You Tube and Reddit to fix the problem, I became despondent. As I am not very diligent at backing up important data, I was worried I would never see my contacts, photos and text messages again. The Hero: 1. Ethan convinced me to bring the phone in. 2. He got it working and back to normal within approximately 15 seconds. 3. He saved my professional life since I depend on my phone daily for all professional contacts. 4. He refused to charge me for the service. The Verdict: Nerdy Neighbor is my go-to for all my electronic repair needs. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, expertise and heroic tech repair service!

The first time they replaced the battery and it was about $270 and when my computer wasn't fixed I brought it back in and they replaced the charging ports, this was $98 because they only charged me for the new ports. Up to this point I was satisfied and felt that the service was good. Then I got my computer back again and it still wasn't fixed. I am out almost $400, I am skipping grocery trips to be able to afford this and I have missed countless assignments bringing it into the shop. I called to ask for a refund and they refused to refund the work- the majority of the price and said they would refund the parts but only if they stripped the parts from my computer so I am then out hundreds of dollars and I would have a completely un-usable computer. They would have the parts back to use in another computer and still were paid for their work. 100% a massive waste of time and money and now I can hardly afford to get it fixed elsewhere.
