A very disappointing experience at this office. Horrible communication and lack of follow through on the part of the new doctor. Was essentially told by the receptionist (since the doctor wouldn't return any calls) that they couldn't provide me with the correct contact lenses that they prescribed, couldn't help me any further and to go somewhere else. The office is conveniently located, and selection is okay not bad prices are bit high. I didn't like the fact they bill incorrectly without letting you know upfront what your copay would be than your left with WTH bill! They are extremely slow to respond or choose not to respond to you when you question something regarding billing, or your prescription. Buy your frames and lens somewhere else. Notice there are no prices on the frames? There's a reason for this. The best I can tell is the price remains the same and if you have insurance, they verify what the insurance will pay then price the frames up by whatever that amount is. So your cost really never changes. The service has gotten much better, but did have a brand new pair of frames get adjusted by an employee (not there anymore) and she dislocated a bow. They put it back on, but for the life of the glasses I continuedly had that bow fall off. No apology, no discounts, not even on the next pair. Again that was prior. The service now is very good and the Dr. will take as much time as needed to make sure your put in the right prescription, just go elsewhere for your frames and lenses if you don't mind heading to the closes store. read more

I normally hate going to dentists or even optometry offices simply because I find it to be a chore especially having to wait around just to get my eyes checked. But my experience at Optique Optometry was nothing but pleasant and most importantly, i was out of there in no time! As soon as I got in, the girl at the front, Lana, got my eyes prepped and did all the preliminary eye tests before seeing the Dr. She was so sweet and quick on her toes without rushing me. Even though there were other patrons there, I felt attended to and was never left waiting. Dr. Lee was extremely professional and addressed all the concerns I had regarding contact lens. All in all, I'd come back again next time to peruse the frames when I need to get new glasses. read more

I don't understand the reviews that are negative at all. They make zero sense, so maybe they are mistaken about where they went. Fortunately, there are way more positive reviews than negative, so I'll put mine in with the positives. Dr. Lee and staff were amazing. I apparently was wearing the wrong strength contact lens from a place I went to previously and he fixed the prescription and gave me trial lenses, drops, and a lot of good advice. I was able to get glasses too, all within my budget and insurance coverage. Everyone was friendly and super helpful. I definitely recommend. It is difficult to find a decent optometrist, but I found this place to be absolutely wonderful. I will be going back for sure for all of my optometry needs. read more

For almost four years our eyes have been the care of Dr. Lee and his staff. Foremost, this is the most professional, organized, and friendly office I've visited, in my years of being a nearsighted patient. And thankfully, the doctor has been the same one on every visit. I had called in short notice to request a same afternoon appointment last week. My left eyeball had some strange occurrence where it looked like I was seeing through a soap bubble, and the edges of this uneven bubble were similar to when oil and water mix causing an iridescent swirl. For the scientific mind, it looked like a friggin' portal into another galaxy. I didn't cross the portal. I just wanted Dr. Lee to tell me what happened. It's called an ocular migraine. Said to be caused from stress and fatigue; usually followed by a migraine. The nerve in the eye "twitches" causing sight distortion. I swear I'm not an alien. And I only thought I was having sinus pressure and my normal achy breaky neck and shoulders from a sitting job. He dilated my eyeballs. Did the inspections. Good thing it's not a detached retina or a risk of one. I have to "keep an eye out" if it happens again. That's my favorite advice of caution coming from the eye doc. I'm back to normal now. I have no complaints! ...only about my bad eyesight. But they're here to take care of that for us! If you're not a patient yet, I recommend this office. They're very personable. They don't rush you when choosing out frames. Huge props to Alissa when she was helping Nessa pick hers out. I got my eye exam and new glasses here about a week ago. They had a large selection of eye wear and everything was really organized. Dr. Lee was really knowldgeable and nice. My only complaint is that when I went in for my initial exam he was late (about 20 mins), and then didn't apologize for being late. I was able to wait inside with the receptionist, but still. Decided to get examined here about 4 or 5 years ago, glad I made that decision! I have had nothing but good experiences and now bring my children for exams. Dr. Lee has been great with my 12month old and 2 year old, my wife and myself. He also was the first one to diagnose me with an astigmatism. My other eye doctor never caught it. Been here a few times for my annual eye exam and prescription update for glasses and contacts. Such a nice place. The staff is always very friendly. And Dr. Lee is very personable! He gives you the best options to save money which is very nice and considerate. I highly recommend coming here for your eye exam, glasses, contacts, or for prescription sunglasses. Very disappointed with my last visit to the office of Dr. Lee, very unethical, unprofessional, all he sees is $$$$$. I guess he skipped his ethics classes during his schooling years. I went for my annual eye test and I needed to order a second set of reading glasses, the cost of the test and the new pair of glasses was $520. Also, I asked him to to repair my old Tag Heuer reading glasses that I purchased from his office a couple of years ago that cost around $500. All it needed was to replace the second nuts on a couple of the bolts that hold the lenses. Well without asking my permission or informing me, he decided to remove the second nuts from all four bolts and cut down the bolts. He proceeded to tell me that the second bolts are not required. I was in a hurry that evening and I needed to pick up my boys, so I didn't give it much thought, trusting his professionalism. The next day, I realized that the ends of the bolts were sharp to touch when handling the glasses, and a few days later, the nuts started getting loose. It was very clear to me that he altered the design of the glasses and now they are not functioning as designed by the manufacturer. Obviously, he is clueless because he butchered my glasses, not realizing how much research went into the design of these glasses. I am an engineer and I understand the importance of design and how it relates to function. I went back to his office and left my glasses with the staff, requesting that he repair the glasses as designed by the manufacturer "with two nuts per bolt". The next day the office called me and informed me that Dr. Lee can't do anything about it and they are "sorry." The staff is nice, because they are just the messengers. I just couldn't believe that he can be so unethical and unwilling to own up to his mistakes, especially when I have been taking the whole my family to his office for the last three years. Unfortunately, I will be getting my glasses fixed through contacting my insurance, BBB and legal service, it is not about money but principles. read more

My family and I have been patients here for at least 5 years. I love that small town feeling of being recognized when I walk in the door. Dr. Lee is great, the entire office staff is very friendly and helpful, and to top it off the turnaround time on glasses is phenomenal. Their frame selection is amazing, one of the best collections I've seen. When we first moved to Corona we continued to drive to Brea for glasses. Dr. Lee and his staff provided me with excellent customer service. Optique Optometry has a large selection of glasses. I had an eye exam and picked out reading glasses and sunglasses. Found exactly the styles I wanted. I also appreciated that Dr. Lee took the time to explain to me what type of glasses I needed according to my daily use. So I wouldn't mind waiting if he needed to do that for his other customers. Would not want anyone to have the experience I've had with my previous optometrist who had me wearing glasses for distance even though I use my computer at least eight hours a day. So happy that I will now be able to see small print without a magnifying glass. I've already referred my husband. They just push extras and the prices are completely hiked as I used another optometrist this year with a comparable selection with the same insurance from last year and it cost me a fraction from going to this place.
