Hidden Gem! We were looking for a place to have good breakfast and orange cafe bistro has a lot of good reviews so we went check it out. I was surprised to find this place hidden in orange. Lots of menus. Big portions. Emilio is our server and i can see how hard he works, he was fast and very friendly and respectful. Like what i said it was hidden, and when you see a crew of firefighters hanging out you know the food is good. the place was busy when we arrived but we were seated right away. Nicely decorated and very clean establishment. Highly recommended!

Everything is good at Orange Cafe Bistro! Food, service and ambiance are better than 95% of the rest of the breakfast places in Orange County. Prices are in line with other restaurants. Try the Spinach Quiche, Eggs Benedict, Chicken Fied Steak, Patty Melt and Breakfast Burrito are all favorites with us. The servers are all terrific and friendly: Maria, Nina, Alicia, Emilio and Mia. Say HI! for us.

Great breakfast experience! From the moment I walked in, the manager was exceptionally nice and welcoming. He even poured my coffee right after I sat down--something you don't see as often these days, and such a nice touch. Shortly after, Isaac took my order. I had already done my Yelp research and thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but he offered a few suggestions that sounded so good I actually went back to the reviews and started questioning my decision! In the end, I stuck with my original choice: pancakes, bacon, eggs, and Irish potatoes instead of hash browns. Everything was delicious! The restaurant is really cute inside and was busy, but it never felt overly noisy, rushed, or frantic. The servers were calm, friendly, and genuinely engaged with their tables, which made the whole experience even better. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a great breakfast with family or friends. They have a nice variety to choose from, great service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. Provide more than enough food Five stars for sure!!

Service is amazing. Attentive and quick. A local community feel with great atmosphere. Food is fantastic and worth the trip.

This was the perfect family post-graduation brunch! We heard about this place recently, that it's one of the best brunches in Orange and it lived up to the hype! I love that it's a hidden gem tucked away in a small shopping center. It's a small but quaint spot with both indoor and outdoor (limited) seating. Emilio our server was wonderful, the food was delicious and the portions were great. Especially awesome that you can choose a pancake with your omelette as your choice of bread! Because everyone always wants a side of just one pancake with their breakfast, literally perfect, and included in the price (epic)! The hash browns were delicious and I especially loved the squaw bread option (amongst many others they offer). Last but not least and kind of random but I really like how the iced coffees are served in a chilled mug, it's just that much better. We'll def be back OCB, thank you!

A little disappointed overall with the food. Pastrami Sandwich was OK. The pastrami itself was a little dry, thick, and not fatty enough. French roll wasn't crunchy like I requested. I asked for the crab cakes as a side instead of Benedict. I should've asked whether it were made with real or imitation crab before ordering. Turns out, it's imitation crab. I'm not sure I've been to a restaurant that serves imitation crab for crab cakes. Feels kinda wrong. And these "crab" cakes came out not as hot as I expected. Yes they were crispy on the outside but the inside was not hot. Makes me wonder if it's old. Originally told it would be one cake for $6 but they gave me 2. So that's cool. Small plaza with limited parking. Restaurant is also small and it felt too crowded inside. Anyway, I wanted to like this place because of high ratings. But left feeling underwhelmed.

This is a hidden little gem! My girlfriend and I came here for brunch. We had Emilio as our server. He was awesome. Super attentive and kind. Nice ambiance with a little covered outdoor seating and indoor seating. The food was really good. Will definitely be back.

I'm a little late with getting this review out. I couldn't figure out the name of the restaurant but finally figured it out! Food was great, we sat outside because the inside smell like old oil. Definitely does not have good ventilation. Our waitress was nice and the food was good. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

Local neighborhood cafe since 1980s, typical brunch menu. Small & decent food. Friendly service. Quaint little coffee charm.

Bacon & eggs. The fruit was very fresh.

Love it!! We had the ham and eggs and sides of fresh avocados and tomatoes! The toast was so good, I loved the larger slices nicely buttered up, like the old diners used to have. Emilio was our server and he was very attentive. He even made sure my dog had lots of water and he recommended a puppy patty for my pup. Everything was wonderful, so wonderful that we ate everything before I got to take a picture of the food!

Such a lovely place for a brunch with friends! Our server Nina was so friendly and gave great recommendations about the specialties. Service was fast and food was delicious. Thanks for a great brunch!

Overall, everything lacked flavor, although I will say the red salsa served with the chips was delicious. My friend ordered the avocado toast, but it was basically just a slice of bread with sliced avocado--no seasoning, condiments, or anything to make it stand out. The small garden salad was equally underwhelming, consisting of only romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes with no dressing or even a drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but they were more like open-faced boiled eggs since the yolks were completely hard instead of runny. The café de olla had a nice flavor, but it was much sweeter than expected. I think it would be better if they served it unsweetened (or lightly sweetened) and let customers adjust the sugar to their own taste. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the ambiance is so charming, but the food just didn't live up to the experience.

We arrived and immediately the staff was so attentive, coming to assist with the lift outside. And they mentioned that if the lift is down for some reason, they also have a ramp to deploy in the back to provide access, which was incredible to hear. The restaurant is charming inside and laid out with plenty of room to navigate and also enjoy your breakfast without feeling like you're on top of anyone else. The service continued to be absolutely stellar, with everyone working in a flow to make the experience flawless. The food was PHENOMENAL, with fluffy pancakes and crispy thick bacon! I'm still dreaming of the pineapple pancakes with tropical syrup... delicious! Their coffee was perfect, too, and I had their awesome cold brew. To top off this experience, the prices cannot be beat. We were shocked how affordable this meal was, especially given the great portion sizes and quality. The service was fast and we were checked on multiple times at the right intervals. My husband's coffee and my hot chocolate were continuously refilled without having to track someone down. This was our first time there, so we didn't know about portion sizes. We ended up ordering a bit too much but we know for next time. We did family style on everything. My husband ordered the crepes, I ordered the cheese omelet with a side of hash browns and my daughter ordered the pancakes. All very good choices. I think the crepes were definitely the standouts though. I don't think the other items had anything extraordinary about them, but just the overall experience of ordering, easiness, attention to detail from server combined made everything extra special and us wanting to add this place to our favorite places.

The hours never really worked with our schedule either being from 8:30 am to 2 pm. We started off with the Ube Sweet Cream Cold Brew ($7) and Pandan Cold Brew ($7). My bf absolutely loved the ube cold brew and said it was probably the best he's ever had. He loved it so much that he got another one to-go after we finished our meal so that was a rare occurrence lol. The ube flavor was strong even after everything was mixed together. Smooth, creamy and tasty. My pandan cold brew was also pretty good. Usually I feel like pandan is difficult to get a real robust flavor and you end up tasting more coffee than pandan. I could actually taste the vanilla/nutty notes and coconut flavor. Also very yummy after mixing it all together. Cold brew flavor did end up coming out stronger tho but I somewhat expect that. We ordered the Adobo Rice Omelet ($14.95 - Chicken-adobo garlic rice wrapped in a three egg omelet, topped with adobo gravy, fried garlic & scallions) - This was really tasty and kind of heavy for me. Sooo much rice under the omelette bed lol. I was beyond stuffed and couldn't take another bite at the end and ended up packing like 2 bites in a small box. My bf ordered the Jeepney Breakfast Burrito ($14 - Crispy golden potatoes, melted cheese, chipotle aoli, scrambled eggs. Your choice of meat, served with a side of pork chicharron and Sinigang Salsa verde) - This was soo delicious. The chicharron side was a great crunch and sinigang salsa verde with the burrito made it even better. It was over the top for our bellies already with the heavy breakfast, but I still insisted that we try a regular breakfast item like french toast. Ordered the Ube Fruity Pebble French Toast ($16.95) and it was yummy! I definitely needed more fruity pebbles but that's my preference. Staff was friendly and prompt. The place was packed and I had joined the waitlist online prior to coming. Waited less than 10 min when we actually arrived. I also loved the decorations everywhere with the foliage, light fixtures and even the ceiling fans. The Tagalog vocab on the chalkboard is also fun to read and learn. I like that there's still a modern feel to the place.

Absolutely insane. We went in yesterday, and while the surprisingly short wait times to be seated…read moreand get our food weren't concerning at first, receiving our meals literally about three minutes after ordering definitely raised some questions. The food unfortunately tasted like it had been premade and sitting for a while. The eggs wrapped around the omelette were tough and chewy rather than fresh and fluffy. The French toast itself actually tasted good, but it was absolutely drenched in ube sauce--to the point that it basically turned into French mush. The loaded potatoes were probably the biggest disappointment. The bacon had been cooked to death and was so hard it was difficult to eat, while the tater tots somehow had the opposite problem and were completely mushy. This place has the potential to be a great restaurant, but the food quality was highly disappointing, especially considering how quickly everything came out. I will give credit where it's due, though: the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the service couldn't make up for the quality of the food.
