I recently picked up an order, and while the food was really good once I got home, the customer service at the counter was disappointing. When I was paying for the food, the girl with curly, brownish blonde hair was rude and had an attitude. Once I picked up my order I wanted to order another sandwich. The girl with curly hair seemed to be frustrated, and overwhelmed because I was trying to order the Gourmet B-Sandwich and she kept insisting that it was not on the menu. Luckily, the cook came out and helped her out. He was very nice and immediately knew what I wanted. He prepared the food quick and it was very delicious. I was immediately seated on an early Sunday morning. Easy to find location. Look for the orange awning. Not much parking in a strip mall but it was OK since the businesses around weren't busy. My server was Nina and she was friendly. Decor is bright and and love the diner mural. Their outside patio is nice with a warm heaters. Even the cooks hums the songs playing on the speakers ;) The food is presented nicely. This is elevated Mexican food. The tortilla is extra crispy which remains crunchy throughout the meal. Nice! With a family member in the hospital, we needed a place in Orange open for breakfast Christmas morning. Orange Cafe Bistro was a great find. Family feel, the regulars are known on a first name basis and everyone is warmly greeted. The food & coffee were great. I had the chilaquiles w/steak, both were great (if you aren't for hot salsa, it might not be for you though). Everyone was very satisfied with their breakfast. We occupied the table well after the dishes were cleared, but were always offered refills. I (we) will be back. This place is a jewel in the city of Of Orange. The location is small, but the portions are large and delicious. The onion rings are the best I have ever had and are made on site. You can get a pancake instead of a bread and it is served with hot Syrup with melting butter in it absolutely delicious. I honestly have tried breakfast and lunch the turkey avocado sprout on sourdough with onion rings was amazing. Their fries are really good as well. Parking here is very challenging, even if you go early for breakfast. When I walked in, I asked if my group could seat ourselves outside. Im not sure if the waitress was having a moment, but she was not happy with me - to the extent my friends I was with even commented on it. It was strange. She seemed to warm up to me, so not sure what that was, but.... I had the Creme Brulee French Toast and it was pretty good - I ate it all, so I guess I really cant complain :) One friend had the Denver Potato Pancakes and I have been thinking about them since - they looked and smelled SO good and she said they were amazing. I will have to go back to try these! We gave the waitress our name and amount to charge per card which she was fine with, which was awesome - we forgot to ask for separate checks. Apparently, we haven't been here for awhile that they changed owners. Sad to not see Maria?, the one who is always there. She never got to see my preggo belly! Loved coming here because it was a mom and pop, and we got acknowledged. I noticed that the new owner/manager went around to every table and greeted them, except us. Oh well. The food seems like it's the same. No complaints there. I forgot what the eggs Benedict looked like, it came out with a huge slice of ham. It was a bit much, a lot wasted. Our server Nina was great. As for the food- Large portions with fast service! My friend ordered the Chilaquiles and it was delicious. Tender carnitas with scrambled eggs and thick crisp tortilla chips smothered in verde sauce- 5 stars I had the veggie scramble with harsh browns and a pancake- 4.5 stars Yay! I was pleasantly surprised..the hash browns were golden brown and not greasy! Finally a restaurant that sautéed the veggies correctly before combining them with the scrambled eggs. My one minor constructive criticism my eggs could have been a wee bit fluffier. read more

It's small, but the food is delicious. My party and I originally went to a breakfast place at the Orange Circle, but it was a very crowded with about an hour and a half wait. We were greeted and seated immediately, which I was so happy to hear. It's a little cramped, but they made it work I would not recommend bringing a crazy big party here. The creme brulee toast was fantastic, and the Florentine scramble was the perfect amount that won't leave you too stuffed. First time here, a cute lil cafe . The waitress Nina was very attentive and always topped us off on coffee and checked on us to make sure we were good . I got the quiche and honestly it was pretty good, but I believe it needed to be a little bit crispier. Overall, I really liked it, though I would rate the quiche a solid 8 out of 10. However, my boyfriend LOVED his food! He got the California omelette & sausage, and he was nothing but smiles while eating it. He rated his omelette, a solid 9 out of 10. We love this place. Nina the waitress is AMAZING. The food is perfect with not only quality but also quantity. The ambiance is a mixture of small-town cafe and top notch Bristo. You are only a stranger on your first visit and even then, you are given a warm welcome. Parking can be tricky but there is a large parking lot across the street.
