This is a Small restaurant in a strip mall. Parking is difficult to say the least. I parked at another strip mall on the corner and walked a half a block. They have some tables just in front of the restaurant. (Awkward since people are standing around that area waiting for a table or walking down the sidewalk). The inside is small but full of tables. (You may feel it is cozy but others would say it is claustrophobic). The wait for a table was short. The wait staff were fast, friendly and efficient. There was a good selection on their menu. They have a kid's menu. There was also a bin full of coloring books for the kids. I had the country scramble with hash browns and toast. The country scramble was eggs scrambled with sausage and topped with sausage gravy. The sausage was flavorless and so was the gravy. The hash browns were good but overall the meal was a big disappointment. The restaurant was clean and the service was fast and efficient. It seemed crowded and a bit noisy. Prices were at the upper end for breakfast. This was my second here. I may come again and try something else on their menu. read more

My husband and I visited today for the first time. I saw a good review on social media about this location and off we went. The place is quaint, there is seating indoors and out. We were greeted nicely and seated right away. I ordered biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and sausage. The food came out quickly and hot. Sometimes for breakfast at other locations, the eggs are cold by the time they come to the table, not here. The meal was delicious and our server, Nina was absolutely wonderful. She learned that this was the first time and she gave us a coupon for our next visit! Overall, a plus. We will add this location to our regular stops. read more

Couple months ago I went here for brunch on a weekend with my 3 boys. I put my name down and waited. After about 20min I noticed people who came after me were being seated. I went to the list and saw my name crossed out.(Was standing next to the door the whole time) When I mentioned to a server what happened. I was accused of trying to cut. After some arguments my family was given a table. It took 20min for anyone to come even take our drink orders. I figured this was retaliation. I got breakfast and kids got burgers and it was ok food. Then I waited several months to give this place a try again. This time was during the week. Was only my wife and I and a group of high schoolers at another table in my dining area. The service was once again one of the worst I've had. Never once was offered a refill in my coffee or my wife's drink. When bringing up if I could get a refill the server would sigh and slowly do it. When she dropped off the food she asked if there's anything else she can do? But quickly turned around before I could respond. When I did speak up. She rolled her eyes and then went to the other group of guests. The food was mediocre. You could taste in the fries that they haven't changed the oil in a while. Had a fishy taste to it. Either they mix their food in the fryer or the oil needs to be changed. Between the food quality and service from the two times of trying. It is safe to say there won't be a third time. read more

Had a craving for hash browns and this place did not disappoint. Cozy local diner type of cafe. The wait was short and our waitress Nina was very pleasant throughout. She greeted us right away and checked on us during our meal. Our table was small so it was nice that she cleared plates when she saw that we were done with them so we had more space. As I write this review, I'm currently preparing to move to LA from Orange tomorrow morning, after having spent four years going to college here. But, throughout those four years, Nina, Sean, and the rest of the staff here have made Orange Cafe feel like a second home to me. I've endured countless hangovers inside OC, but I knew I could always count on the Crab Cake Benedict or the Carnitas Omelett to pick me up after a long night out. Their food is second to none, and I can't recall a moment where I waited more than twenty minutes for a meal to arrive. Orange Cafe has seen me at my worst and at my best. On first dates and on final days. Nina has never judged me for showing up to OC with a never ending cast of characters, and I have never been disappointed by the inviting atmosphere. Orange Cafe is the definition of comfort food -- it's a place to escape the stress of school and of college and relax -- even if only for an hour. I will dearly miss this place, and endeavor to grab a bite here whenever I make my way back to Orange. There truly is no place in the world like Orange Cafe, and when I look back on my time in college I have no doubt in my mind that OC will be a defining part of it. Let me start with Maria our waitress. The last few times we have visited on a Sunday for breakfast, I step just inside the doorway to look for Maria's friendly face. Much to our delight when we see her she'll recognize me and wave us to her section as she knows we are there for her! She knows right off the the top that we want ice water, coffee and a dab of cinnamon for our coffee and brings it right over to our table. She is always sure to check on us and her other tables. Her service is superb! Now for our food today. The cook is right on target as the pancakes were so soft, fluffy and cut so smoothe. The waffle with strawberries & bananas was excellent too. The waffle had the right amount of crisp on the outside but light, fluffy and very tasty on the inside. We did get eggs, potatoes and bacon that were good and average. It was delightful to have very good pancakes & waffles. A couple of weeks ago we went to another restaurant and the pancakes were rubbery and chewy so today's breakfast was by far much, much better. Be sure to let the cook and Maria know they are appreciated with their craft of customer service. We'll be back again for sure on another Sunday in the near future. read more

This is a local place with lots of locals dining . Met two friends for Sunday brunch. I was the last to arrive - friends had ordered drinks. Server asked me what I would like, said I needed to use the restroom first. There was a line - she again asked me what I would like to drink while I waited for the restroom. I got back to the table and asked for a drink and water with no ice. The drink arrived but no water. She came back to take our orders and I again asked for water. She came back with 2 glasses and said a third was coming - it never did. I asked if they were busier than usual - no, actually slower....the food was good and homey.
