I found McLogan online since they are a Madeira thread dealer. I ordered some supplies from McLogan…read morehoping to pick them all up in Santa Ana. I placed my order Wednesday around 1230pm and received a call from Lenny within an hour. He said they didn't have all the stock on the goods but they were at another location. One of them, I knew about, which was fine. He said he would figure it out and ship what he had and I would get it the next day. Then, he said, he would work on the others. Within a day, I received the first package (Thursday). Then, the second package came the day after on Friday. Needless to say, I am very impressed with a company that would go above and beyond to help a hobbyist like me on a small order. Truly appreciate the hustle with this company and definitely recommend ordering from them. Also, they had great pricing and a large selection on Madeira thread, along with a pick up option to save on shipping. I will definitely be visiting their store some time soon. Buy with confidence from them! Thank you Lenny and McLogan Supply staff!

The selection is terrible as well. They no longer carry FNink and they don't have 200 mesh screens in stock or a spot gun?? Just order online from Nazdar or SPR, save yourself a frustrating trip!

It was massive. They have seasonal summer flowered that are rather expensive, most of which are $9-$10 per bunch. Luckily there are spring season flower sales, which range from 30-50%. Some of the florals and greens are more realistic than others. However, these would be great and timeless alternatives for event decor. The baking section was pretty good too. They had a lot of the kitchen ware in stock, like pans, plastic cutting boards, cake packaging, etc. I personally got 2 kitchen oven mits, which were good quality and was priced competitively compared to other stores. The store also has a coupon deal of 30% off one item. They were kind enough to advertise at entrance right by the door. The customer service here is also very friendly. At the cashier check-out, a kind lady helped me check the price of something. I noticed she patiently did the same for others with a great attitude. Overall, I had a positive shopping experience at this Michael's and would 100% come back.

It's gotten to a point where I take pictures of all the prices of things I'm going to purchase because at least have my items ring up at a different price and then an employee has to go and check that the tag had a different price.

My…read more11-year-old has been taking classes here for the past year, and I've loved watching her confidence grow along the way. Working with clay requires patience, creativity, and real time problem solving, which has been such a wonderful experience for her. I especially love that pottery teaches her to embrace the process rather than expect instant gratification. There's no rushing to a finished product...you have to work through each step, learn from mistakes, and sometimes figure out how to solve a problem when things don't go as planned. It has been so rewarding to watch her challenge herself, develop new skills, and become more confident in her ability to work through frustration and find solutions. These are skills that extend far beyond the studio, and I'm so grateful she has a place where she can develop them while doing something she genuinely enjoys. The staff are also amazing and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell how much they care about the kids and their creative growth. We highly recommend Mud Hen Clay and Art Studio! It's a wonderful place for kids to create, learn, challenge themselves, and grow.

An overdue review based on the pottery wheel class and glazing option experience. For reservations,…read moreI made it for two people through their website. This was for a public class on a Saturday at around 4:30 PM. The class consisted of 8 people max and seemed to be all couples. All of the equipment was prepared like an apron, clay, pottery wheel, etc. We had an instructor that was very knowledgeable and explained everything from start to finish. Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. The instructor also frequently went around to check everyone's pieces and was able to troubleshoot as needed. It was a fun experience but be very prepared to get your hands dirty! The glazing portion was separate from the class. There was no reservation needed for that so I did it the same day that I went to see the ceramics. For parking, street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time. I'd recommend coming early to have ample time to find parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience enough. It could have been perfect if the staff here remembered to follow up on when the ceramics were ready for pickup. I am happy with the end result though.
