They will pressure you to finance through their own company with about a 13% interest rate and tell you "it's only high because it's considered a loan for a luxury purchase". That's a load of horse ****. I brought $12k as a downpayment and thought I was being smart and responsible. These guys are like cheetahs looking at young naïve service members like they're injured gazelles. By the way, they're now telling SERVICE-MEMBERS You can NO LONGER GET GAP INSURANCE!! An amendment has been passed but you are still eligible, it's the discretion of the business. How to buy a Harley (for service members) : 1.) Go to almost any other dealership than Orange County. All the same horror stories are specifically coming from this place. 2.) go to Navy Federal or USAA and apply for a loan. You'll get some solid interest rates. Your best bet is to apply for one between 20-30k so you can get most of what's in the inventory. 3.) buy a USED Harley. Lower miles. Maintenance history from Harley Service preferred so you know the work is done right. 4.) find your bike. Work your price. KBB any trade ins. Your best bet is doing a private sale on your bike if you have one to get rid of to minimize what you want to apply for at the bank. 5.) go to Harley, check out the bike you want. Don't play dealership games. Give her a test ride. Tell them you're pre approved for a loan and take your bike home. F*** these guys. You served your country, you deserve to get a bike and enjoy the freedom of this beautiful country without getting scammed to line their pockets just because you're young and inexperienced. read more

Joseph met with me yesterday morning and we looked through all the bikes to figure out the style I was most happy with. We boiled it down to two different models, so we went out and rode both. Hands down easiest and best experience buying a bike from a dealership. I called to check inventory and spoke with Greg over the phone who verified that the bike was at the dealership. He confirmed it and told me to speak with Cindy when I arrived. Cindy knocked it out the park. She listened to what I had to say and took every word into account. She lined up my test rides asap and worked with what I wanted. Other dealers try to force things down your throat but not once was this the case. It's hard to find people that will treat you like this.....especially at a dealer. She will be the only person I refer to anybody/everybody I know that wants a bike. All I can say regarding this location is unbelievable. Even with new owners this place is just incredible to me with the poor quality of service. I had a question regarding a return on some oil I bought and was cut off in the middle of my sentence when the parts guy said "we don't accept oil returns boss". He then went on telling me "all Harley customers who shop regularly with us know these things" and continued to lecture me on how apparently no places accept oil returns...After I could finally speak I mentioned politely how AutoZone does returns on fluids where he once again cut me off and said "we aren't autozone bro". Blows me away a big name like Harley-Davidson has this clown behind the desk. (And yes he Clarified that it's a Harley policy to not accept returns on oil, I fully understand and respect that. My issue was how he addressed it) I constantly have tried to give this dealership a chance and they have continued to fail to satisfy me. The Charlie Hunnam look-alike salesman started a bike inside the store and ripped it loud. I was right behind him, trying to listen to the sales woman as 95 +dB ripped my ears apart. I took my Harley Davidson Pan America in due to a check engine light and a warning light on May 10th and they checked the codes. They told me that the earliest the one and only Pan America Mechanic was available was May 24th so I scheduled an appointment for 9:00am, Tuesday, May 24th. I also asked them if it was ok to ride the motorcycle until then and they assured me that the codes were not critical and it wouldn't hurt it to ride the motorcycle. When I showed up on Tuesday, May 24th at 9:00am I told them I would be waiting for the motorcycle. When I went over to the sales floor I noticed that there were three new Pan America's sitting there like they were just delivered. Windshield wasn't mounted, things laying on top of the motorcycles, paperwork, etc. So after an hour I went back into the service department and noticed that my motorcycle was exactly were I had parked it when I arrived. I went outside to wait and noticed that the new Pan America's were being driven around to the back of the services department. After a half an hour or so I noticed that my motorcycle hadn't moved yet so I went back to the service department to ask about it. At the same time I walked in I noticed the one and only Pan America mechanic walking out from the back and I asked him if he was going to take my motorcycle back to start working on it. He told me that my motorcycle wasn't on his list of things to work on and he didn't know that it was there. When I asked him when he would be able to start working on it he said sometime today. When I asked him when, he repeated sometime today. When I asked drew what was the point of scheduling an appointment at 9:00 am if they weren't going to start on it until after lunch? he was apologetic but I was pissed. I recommended that we reschedule the appointment and Drew said that it was probable going to be a week or two. Drew then volunteered to give up an appointment the he had the next day at 9:00am so I rescheduled the appointment for the next day. They asked me to leave it for a few days so I did. Not having heard from them I decided to go to the dealership on Saturday, May 28th. When I arrived I was talking with Drew their assistant service manager. Drew acted surprised to see me and started looking at his computer. Drew then told me that they had been waiting to hear back from Harley-Davidson corporate as to what to do next. Drew that acted as if an email had just com in that said that they recommended that a module be replaced. When I asked Drew if they had the module available to be replaced, he then acted as if he was just now looking to see if they had the part in stock. Drew then told me that the part was on backorder until July 15th. So I asked Drew what I was supposed to do in the interim and he said that it was OK to drive. I then asked Drew what I should do if the check engine light comes on again? How would I know if it wasn't the same problem or a totally different problem. Drew said that I would have to bring it by to have the codes checked again. I then asked Drew at what point and time do I consider contacting a lawyer about the California Lemon law for the motorcycle. Drew said you don't want to go down that road, to which I said that I was already looking at the law and felt the my motorcycle would be considered for the law. Drew asked that I give him until Tuesday, after Memorial day, to see if he could come up with a fix for it. When Tuesday came, they told me that my motorcycle was ready to be picked up. When I asked what was fixed they had nothing to say, just that it was ready to be picked up and I needed to sign the paperwork that I was picking it up. NO explanation as to what was done to repair the motorcycle without the required part that was on backorder until July 15th. My Pan America has been back to the dealership for service two more times since and is in for repairs right now. As far as my Pan America is concerned, in my humble opinion, this motorcycle is not ready for prime time. read more

The delivery worker was wearing a mask and was bullied for it in front of everyone. I don't care what your beliefs are this was not the right way to handle this situation. This H-D team is legit! Easy going and genuine people. I hadn't rode my bike in a while so the battery died. Called the OC H-D and they were quick to get everything fixed. They sent Alex (I think that's his name - sorry) who came prepared with a truck and a trailer to pick up my bike. We were chatting it up about the bike and I asked him questions like 'Do you think I should upgrade? What bike do you think I should switch to?' Easy sales questions, but he didn't try to sell me on anything and he straight up said, 'You have a great bike here, no need to upgrade since this bike does everything you need, if you want you can add stuff to your current bike and make it better.' I've never had a sales person say that to me.. so I respected the honesty for sure! After he took my bike - I received calls from OC H-D with the lead service member, Bill (Billy). He is a dope dude - kept me updated on everything with my bike, was very clear and concise on what needed to be done + asking my thoughts before starting anything & charging my card. He absolutely crushed on the customer service end with answering all my questions + he even waited a little past closing for me to pick up my bike because of Uber and traffic. As soon as I got there, Bill was chatting it up with me right away then took me to my bike. I was stoked and surprised to see that Bill had even washed and cleaned it to look brand new since I hadn't rode in awhile. That was dope to see and very much appreciated.
