Two men arrived on time and then the Manager of the business stopped by to see how everything was going. Within an hour another two men showed up to help speed things up. We used these guys last week for a short move from Tustin to Anaheim Hills. The crew were all very nice, and easy to work with. We had to split the truckload between our new place and a nearby storage unit - no problem! Had to take the hinges off the front door to get the refrigerator into the house - no problem! Had to hoist the California King bed and mattress over the upstairs railing 12 feet in the air because the stairs were too narrow - no problem! Mike and his guys moved my 2 bedroom(with furniture to fill a whole house) in 3 hours. We called 4 moving companies, mike was the most honest and straight forward. He quoted me for 2 guys but mike, the owner, even came along himself and helped! They were efficient and hardworking, never even took a break. I will never move by myself again. MOVERS BEWARE -- For your own good, please take a moment and read the reviews here on Yelp and on Google related to damage and insurance with Traditional Moving Company. Like others here, we had a similar problem with a local move (less than 1.5 miles away) back in August 2015 and are wishing we dove a bit deeper than just looking at Yelp's misleading 4+ star rating. Besides showing up on time, the movers did little right and damaged almost all of the furniture they moved. We did our best to protect ourselves and paid for the extra Actual Cash Value insurance that they offer. Unfortunately, that hasn't helped as we have going back and forth with them for 4+ months with little response and no visible progress or resolution. In contrasting our experience with others reviews, it's obvious this isn't a unique problem that we encountered but instead, the way this business operates in focusing on new deals versus servicing existing or past customers. Unless you want to deal with this nightmare and put your cherished belongings at risk, GO ELSEWHERE. We had a similar issue with damage with Allied some years back and the process was exemplary. After searching yelp I contacted many moving companies. I was immediately impressed that I received a quote via email minutes after requesting one online, on a Friday night, at 7:00 p.m. Michael, the owner, was so helpful and quick with responses. They were pretty comparable to other services in price and the reviews I read had me hopeful that the move would be really quick. Michael called me the day before to get all the details and even asked for gate codes etc. The morning of the movers were set to arrive at 9:00 a.m. They called for the gate code at 9:10... The 3 move red were really nice. They introduced themselves, came upstairs and looked over the entire apartment and declared it would be a quick and easy move. Then it took 4 hours to load the truck!!!! We live in a 2 bed room apartment!!!!! And we had everything but furniture packed in boxes and moved into the living room... After arriving at our new apartment, it took another 3 hours to unload. I had expected the move to take around 4 hours. Not 7.5! They broke a piece of glass that goes to a frame (that they wrapped themselves) and we've found other items that were in boxes marked fragile that are also broken. When I paid, they never even deducted for the things they knew they broke. Then as we were unpacking, we realized that they had left parts for our bed on their truck. I called the office and no one answered. I called the driver and he said "yeah I know" but they didn't return it until after 10p. I feel like this company has the potential to do better than this, but I am really disappointed by how SLOW the movers worked and that they weren't even apologetic for breaking things and keeping our items for hours. UPDATE: numerous talks with the owner and I as promised a discount that NEVER came. Now, a month later, we have fully unpacked and realized that there are things missing. A box full of the lids to our pots and pans is no where to be seen. Also, last on the truck was a $280 Le Creuset French oven. Very disappointing. read more

Ok so I wrote a review on 5/24 and gave it a 4 because they were efficient and careful. The only reason I had given them a 4 was because there was some miscommunication about the fees and I was overcharged. Within a few hours, the owner called me to inquire as to what had happened. I explained to him and he realized I had in fact been overcharged. He apologized and by the end of the day he had sent a check for the amount I had been initially overcharged for. It is 6/1 and I now have the check in my hands. I definitely was not expecting this, I'm so impressed by them. They now deserve a 5 star review. read more

These guys were amazing! We moved out of an apartment on the second floor into our new home. To say they were fast doesn't do them justice. They got there at 9:15 for a 9:00 not a big deal our place is hard to find. We had a full apartment plus a bunch of wedding gifts in the garage. They expertly wrapped all our furniture and loaded it up in under an hour. By 12:30 we were in our new home furniture placed and the guys were on their way. Everything was in perfect condition and I can't think of anything to that could have been improved. These are the guys to choose. I really even had to reschedule our move and push it back one week on short notice and they moved it with no problem at all. Top notch service highly recommend. read more

Used this company to move my home goods to a storage facility. In the middle of their move they managed to damage a wall in the home I was selling. I later called to file a claim. Spoke to the owner Michael and he was rude and not willing to help at all. Made many false promises about making situation right and of course never did. I do not recommend them at all. Worse experience ever. I don't know how a company like them stay in business with their poor work ethic. Don't forget Karma will come back around and oh you a visit Michael. Michael is trying to validate his poor work ethic by claiming to have responded to damages done by his crew, however that is FALSE. I was under a deadline 5 days prior to him actually responding to me. Come on now Michael. You know you messed up and now it's time to step up and make it right. Why not reimburse me for the monies I paid. If you think it's to much then pay me what you think is right. I've emailed you twice in the past month with no response. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! I wish I could give no stars. Don't be fooled by their limited number of good reviews. They promised me to show up at 9AM and I confirmed by text and call twice before our promised date. On the day of my move they were not there on time so I texted them and they said they are running late and will call me back. I waited 30 mins and called them back and they didnt pick up. Then they told me that one of the movers had called out and they are looking for a replacement and will call me back. After that they disappeared all together. I was left stranded with few hours left to return the keys and bunch of furniture and no truck to move and no help. The guy texted me back later saying he didnt have his phone on him!!!! Excellent experience. They called early in the morning to say that one of the trucks had broken down and that they would be a little late. I thought they were going to flake out, and I was going to have to make other plans. They showed up, worked hard and moved everything quickly and efficiently without anything breaking. Traditional showed up 1.5 hours late on moving day, in a rental truck without any equipment, moving blankets, supplies, etc. When unloading the truck, it was discovered the several pieces of furniture had been damaged and/or destroyed. A claim was immediately made to Traditional claims, but has been ignored since being submitted. The value of items damaged and destroyed is greater than the cost of the move, so by whatever means, find alternative movers to Traditional, as they have no regard for the customer or the fact that you contract with them as experts, yet the service is far less than satisfactory. Traditional will likely end up with a lawsuit on their hands, as they have repeatedly failed to reply in regard to the claim made. BEWARE. This company should not be in business and does not deserve your business. read more

This is an extremely delayed review as the service was a year ago, but now that I renewed my lease at my current place, I couldn't help but remember how much easier moving became because of these guys! I'm really sorry I can't remember the names of our moving guys, but they were really nice and professional. My apartment is on the 3rd floor of the complex with NO elevators, so they had to carry everything up the stairs (I felt so bad!). But they were patient and took great care of my stuff! Our move Monday started of a little bit early and the guys were very polite and always engaging. I realize in your business that you normally hear the "crap". You will not from us. The move couldn't of gone smoother. The guys were all very nice and very professional but personable. We moved on Monday 02-23-2015 and I was unpacking on 02-24-2015 just trying to get my work clothes ready for me to go to work the following day. I unpacked box after box and I couldn't find them. What struck me as odd is that my wife's clothes were hanging in the closet but we couldn't locate my shirts. After I don't how many hours of looking everywhere and getting super frustrated my wife found them hanging right next to her clothes just waiting for me. Your guys had done that for us. Also when they unpacked the truck into our house no one can help all the boxes going everywhere. But when they finished unloading they went around and arranged the boxes so we could move in the house after they left while we unpacked. All in all I hope you can continue to impress people as you have me. Most of my moves prior to you were less than memorable which I discussed with you. We had the old trick of unloading half the house then stopping and closing the truck and hitting my wife up for a large sum of money. The other trick of sorry we went way over the estimate or the estimator isn't correct and you owe us this much extra all at 8pm when no office is open to get a hold of anyone. We have moved five times in the last eight years. (Family of five with a lot of stuff.) Each experience has been horrible, so we were going to move our own stuff since it was just a 1/2-mile move. I had started to believe that moving companies are full of crooks and fools, but my wife convinced me to give these guys a try. Traditional Movers--especially the crew of Phil, Dan, and Alex--have shown me what a moving company should be. These guys are amazing! They work hard, they work fast, and they are careful. We moved from a three bedroom house to a four bedroom, and the new house has a very weird and narrow staircase and upstairs hallway. Everything was done perfectly--nothing scratched, everything placed where we asked and assembled, all in five hours--wow! As much as moving sucks, these are the guys to use if we ever have to again! Me and my family have used them twice now. One thing I really liked and appreciated was that the two guys that showed up really knew how to use all the equipment that they had to effectively move heavy items up and down the stairs easily. The movers were fast and effective. We offered to buy pizza for them but they refused. Over all I really liked them but I knocked of one star because the second time I used them, they were a few hours late without any notice. I had to call multiple times but someone rarely picks up the phone. I thought they weren't going to show up but they did and worked as fast as they could to get the job done. read more
