Had such a great experience with OC Pools & Spas from the initial meeting with Kyle all the way to the end with Danny showing us how to work the spa and app. We now have the backyard of our dreams, the gardening area we've always wanted and the driveway spot for our RV. Everyone is super nice and professional and I was able to get in contact with Kyle job coordinator through text or phone call anytime I had a question within minutes if not right away. Caesar and his crew were here working every single day even in some of the hottest weather we have ever had with little to no shade. I had my pool and spa done by Everett and we initially thought what a great guy, seems professional and trustworthy, but we couldn't have been more wrong. He has a short fuse and doesn't want to hear about the issue at hand. He subcontracted the concrete around the pool and was done very poorly, has scratches and looks aged because pool equipment was dragged by the workers but he refuses to take accountability for his employees. He told us the sun would erase the blemishes, it's been almost a year and the concrete looks awful, we called him and he said it wasn't his fault and hung up on my husband. i would never recommend him to anyone. read more

I am a single mother who has a 10 year old autistic son. He bangs his head alot and gets really agitated everyday. Over the years our family have tried medications and other therapy methods to help him to stay calm and safe . We found that swim therapy and water on a whole helps him to stay relaxed. So last year I decided that I was going to invest in purchasing a hot tub for my son. My family, friend and even the doctors were very supportive of this. So a few months ago I decided to go into Orange County Pools and SPA at Mohegan lake to check out options. I met Dan and how lucky I was. I explained to Dan what I was looking for and the rationale behind me making this big purchase. Dan was helpful, very compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. He guided me through this entire process for months. The hot tub was delivered a week ago and it's perfect. Of course Dan came put to my home to show me how to work this tub. Initially had a positive experience, but once an issue came up it went downhill very quickly. I signed up for weekly pool service and quoted a monthly price. There came a week where my service day fell on a holiday, but I received no communication that nobody would be coming. I reached out and they said they would be back asap, so I assumed there would be another day of the week they'd service. Nobody came and they completely skipped a week, so I emailed back to receive credit for this. A gentlemen named Steve replied with some confusing reasoning that pool service is based on 4 visits a month and since they serviced 5 weeks in August, it's okay to skip one week in September because of the holiday. They also billed without any prior notice for filter cleaning (which wasn't actually done), so I also asked for a refund on this. Steve seemed to have taken offense to all this because he terminated my service immediately. Very questionable customer service since there's no attempt to resolve any issues, just "their way or the highway" and could care less about your business. Overall, a pretty poor experience with the service. I'm only giving them an extra star because the person that actually cleaned the pool seemed to be good-- my pool looked clean, he was thorough about cleaning, and left a note whenever he serviced the pool. Just very disappointed with how customer service is handled and communication is bad. read more

So thankful I found this company. My pool equipment recently went out of warranty so I didn't know who to use for repairs. I called 4 other pool equipment repair companies in OC and they are all the biggest flakes. Didn't show up for appointments, didn't call back, said they would do the work and didn't...My pool was down for over a week and I was beginning to think I wouldn't be able to find anyone to give my money to. Contacting Steve was a relief because I finally found a professional in a sea of lazy pool dudes who want to own their own company and never work. Steve sent Brian out in 2 days, who was on time and did a quick assessment of the problem and gave a fair estimate. My pool was up and running as soon as they got the pump I needed. Don't waste your time with other pool equipment repair companies and don't be fooled because they all have similar names. Make sure you contact OCPS to get your equipment fixed right at a fair price. I called on 10/13/2016 urgently seeking a spa repair company. OC Pools & Spa responded to my inquiry and the technician was here between 8-10am on 10/14/16. Brian fixed my spa, advised on maintaining the water and $85 later, my spa was fixed, up and running. The spa kept going into sleep mode and not heating. Very bad service, they never arrive on time like they promise, and the owner calls himself Brian got some anger problems.

Steve is very rude. They need to get a new customer service person. We have always been responsive to emails and calls. But both my husband and I travel for work, so sometimes I admit, the bill didnt get paid right away. They are the ones with the archaic billing through the mail. Switch to online billing... you will get paid faster by busy people in Orange County. But I always used their paypal system to pay and catch up over the year. When I asked them to come look at the pressure switch (of which they had fixed 1 year ago) because I thought it should have been warrantied, the response I got was "past due balance, lien property, service terminated". WTF? First of all, I work in construction and my husband is an attorney, so a lien is just freaking ridiculous and would never actually happen but whatever with your idol threats, you idiot. I paid the balance and moved on to another pool company but communication goes a long way. Apparently Steve was in a very bad mood last week. Hope you didnt lose more then one customer. I called for a repair estimate. They said an estimate would cost me $85. The Inspector never let me know he was on my property even though my wife and I were home. Later they called to say it was impossible to repair the blower they had installed two years ago and that the other work that was required to repair my spa would cost over $800 (more than they charged to replace all the spa's equipment two years before) I then called another company who did not charge for an estimate and who fixed my spa for about $400. read more

My experience started off ok with Ocpoolspa but soon turned bad. The "technician" spent 10 minutes(Ring) and didn't diagnose the minor issue with my pump which ended up being the diffuser $50 but he just said I need all new equipment . Then upon leaving he left my gate unlatched and both of my dogs got out while I was at work. Fortunately my neighbor got them back after an hour. The man secretary who answers the phone is a smart mouth know nothing who has to go to the owner for the simplest of questions and rarely answers the same day. He pestered me for the $85 service call so they could pay the technician which turned out to be the owner. I will not use them again and don't recommend you do either save yourself the aggravation . read more

These guys were very helpful in getting my mom's pool back into shape after some neglect on the part of the previous pool service. The water had turn green and hadn't been changed for many years. On short notice they came out and drained and refilled the pool, cleaned and repaired the filter, added new chemicals and within a week the pool was back to looking great. Steve, at customer service was very polite and professional in handling this effort. I live in San Diego and wasn't sure what day I would be able to make it up to Orange, he assured me not to worry they will handle everything and they did at a very reasonable price. They now do the monthly service on the pool and it looks great. I would recommend these guys without hesitation. read more

I tried to get service from two other companies, one wouldn't return my call (after previously spending a couple of thousand dollars with them), the other stood me up twice. I found OC Pools & Spas and they are amazing. They scheduled an appointment within a few days of contact and Brian showed up on time. He fixed my spa and repaired a couple extra items, he suggested maintenance items for the future (but was not pushy). Brian even came back twice to replace a fountain pump that I furnished just to help me out. Steve is great at customer service keeping me in the loop about Brian's schedule. OC Pools & Spas exceeded my expectations and they will be getting all my business and referrals in the future. read more

If I could give OC Pool and Spa 10 STARS I would! We had a problem with our pool heater, which is quite old so we were expecting bad costly news. But, that was not our experience! I searched Yelp and found OC Pool and Spa. I called them and they actually called me back within the hour!! I thought to myself, "ok, we're off to a good start here!" Then, Brian arrived on the exact date and time we scheduled. He was wonderful! Such a nice guy and so knowledgeable. Brian quickly diagnosed our problem, had the parts with him, showed me the problematic parts and was able to fix our heater so quickly! And, the best part was that it was so economical! Just Don't! There are plenty of respectable pool companies out there! The business owner is uncivil! The business owner told my husband to "Go F#@* off" today and he sent it in a text--so we have proof! He also threatened to "Put a leon ("lien" I think he means!-lol) on our house" if we are 1 day late paying our bill for his "service call" to repair what his technician broke. This company took over our pool service 2 months ago when our pool man retired. In the first month, they cleaned our pool filter in the middle of our grass area in our backyard which we DID NOT request and were not notified of and then billed us an additional $90 for a service we did not ASK for and DID NOT approve. We have 2 small dogs, so we have never cleaned our filter on our lawn. The grass was white from the chlorine residue which is, of course, poisonous! I paid the bill because when my husband called them, they said "It needed to be done." I still don't think that is the respectful way to run a business, especially when you have never worked with an customer before. Since the filter was cleaned, the equipment that holds the filter has been leaking, so my husband called yesterday to ask them to correct what they caused. The owner called him "Buddy" and said he would "go over and check it out today." This morning he called my husband with a list of needed repairs and the cost. My husband started to say that it doesn't seem right that we never had a problem until his employee performed an unapproved procedure on our equipment and now he expects us to pay for the repair...and he went off on my husband. My husband actually left work and returned home to assure that he hadn't been malicious and guess what...our back gate was left unlatched--which could have resulted in our dogs getting out. This man's actions and words speak for themselves. I would NOT recommend using his service. read more

Everett Sheely is the reason to use OC Pools and Spas. He is a very "hands-on" owner who insured that the work moved along smoothly and was completed to his high standards. We were very impressed with his attentiveness to detail... he saw a problem with the brick work and had his guys come over and correct it the next day.
