Wow! What a hidden gem! We came to this place while on vacation to switch it up from the mainly Mexican cuisine and we were blown away! You can tell it's a local spot! The decor is a little older school but you can tell they are authentic with their cooking. I had the Ragin Cajun pasta and it slappppped! We also had a cookie pizza for dessert and it was phenomenal. I've been here many times and i can day they are pretty consistent with their food. Its always good, I leave satisfied with the quality, portion sizes for sure haha, and price of food. The only reason for the 4 stars is because sometimes the service is not that great, but that could be due to it always being packed with customers. I'm a truck driver so I've eaten across the United States. I've eaten cuisine from McDonald's to a couple hundred dollars a dish. That being said, this place tops them all. I didn't know this place existed but my Uber driver recommended this place. I'm thankful for him! The food here is superb. Down to the dressing everything was amazing. Our server was Karina M. I am definitely impressed with her. She was friendly, inviting, knew the menu and made recommendations that were spot on! The place is fun and the service is great... but.... the sauce, has to be the best and it is too thick it tastes like I am eating tomato paste. Sauce is everything at and Italian restaurant. The food is always good. Watched 2 homeless people walk right in and use the restaurants. The male had huge open sores on his legs and was in the restroom for over 20 mins. Then a lady walks in, walked right by eating customers with bad body odor and walked right to the restroom. I notified the waiter and his response was " we can't deny them the restroom ". It exposes customers to who knows what. Recently a friends mom was exposed to fentanyl at local business, by using their restroom and was in the hospital. Maybe put locks on the door and make it for paying customers only. Or just don't use the restrooms while there. read more

I haven't been to Oregano's in over ten years. I generally avoid chains, but my dining companion was craving their deep dish, so I was willing to give it a shot. Service was excellent, the the hostess and servers who all greeted us as we entered to our outstanding waitress who was very attentive even though she had more than her share of tables. We had a couple missteps with beverages. The wine I wanted was out of stock and the beer my companion ordered was flat and watery. However, they suggested a good substitute for my wine, and promptly replaced his beer with a very palatable alternative. We started with the stuffed mushroom appetizer, with was flavorful and hearty. I then had the antipasti salad while he ordered deep dish pizza. The salad was embarrassingly large. I couldn't even eat half- I wish I'd ordered the dressing on the side so it would have been good the next day. And his pizza was exactly as billed- rich and hearty, with great flavor. One of our favorite restaurants. Well trained staff. Service is above board. Menu is extensive, quality of food is great, consistent prep and I don't think there has ever been anything we've ordered there that was not above par. Salads, soup, pasta, seafood and pizza all excellent. To-go food is well thought out-salads not only have the dressing on the side, if it has chicken, beef, etc that is kept separate as well. Another local gem that one of my wife's sisters clued us in on. As such, they can get very busy at times, but you can get on the waiting list through Yelp, which is what we did. The decor is fun and the menu looks like an album cover of a 12" LP record. Maria was our server and took excellent care of us. The portions are huge for most of their offerings, so be prepared to take home yummy leftovers. I chose the Bollo Pasta, which is an all you can eat item, angel hair pasta (My favorite!) with the EXCELLENT meat sauce. I ESPECIALLY LOVED the chucks of tomatoes in the sauce along with the meat. SO GOOD!!! The garlic bread that came with it was also very good. I was hungry, but could only eat half of it as the serving was so large, so I took the rest home for later. I'd order it again in a heartbeat, but there were so many other things in the menu that I'd like to try too. Since it was an all you could eat item, we asked Maria how often do people as for more. She told us that it's very common to not be able to finish it in one sitting, but she once had a guy that requested five refills! The el Diablo shrimp pasta had the right amount of heat, but kissed by all the diced sweet peppers and the cream sauce just glazed through it all. It was incredible. The food here was good, but the service was pretty slow. I went on a Tuesday evening and less than half of the tables were occupied. There was plenty of staff talking to each other, but they seemed preoccupied with their own conversations. It took over 15 minutes to get our drinks and about 20 minutes after that to order our food. Plenty of pastas and pizzas for everyone! Service is usually solid and friendly. I had one really bad experience here a while back. I went back with friends and everything was good. No reason to hold grudges! Down side- Wings are good but they're a bit on the expensive side, so I don't usually get them. The new menu is smaller and there are things missing-like one of my favorites, the tree hugger skillet. Overall, I love this place and have been to a couple locations with similar feelings and experiences. I put in my first review of this Oregano's in 2011. By that time I had already been going there for years and loved it. It was an easy 5 stars. Sadly, we had our last meal from this Oregano's last night. Their food quality and consistency has been going down for years, and last night was the last straw. I'm a creature of habit and pretty much order the same things every time so it's pretty easy to see the changes. The guacamole used to be so good, but now it's so filled with tomatoes that the acidity ruins the flavor. The crust that comes with the guacamole used to be cooked perfectly every time. Now it's always burnt. We started ordering it with a "light bake" to get it back to what it was, but even that is now overcooked. We used to order this every time, but now we don't even bother. A stuffed pizza was another staple in my orders. It satisfied my itch for the thick, Chicago style pizza I love. Now when I order, I never know if I'm going to get a thick delicious pizza, or a thin sad looking version. In the last one I ordered, they used rancid oil in the pan which infused the crust with a disgusting taste and smell. After a few bites we threw the whole thing out. Last night we ordered traditional style mac & cheese, boom dip, and a cookie. The mac & cheese looked perfect. Unfortunately, whoever cooked it burnt it and served us the non-burnt portion because it had an awful, awful burnt flavor. After a few bites it went in the trash. The boom dip normally comes with these really thin bread sticks. This time they were an inch thick. They were still good, but again, no consistency anymore. I took my sister out for dinner. We waited at the front while employees stood around. We we're told the "hostess" was the only person that could seat up. Once the hostess meandered back, those same employees were still busy... with each other... yapping. There were several empty tables as the hostess lead us to a table. What astounded me was that we were taken to a building addition to be seated. The room was much warmer than the primary building. The sun hadn't set quite yet. While the waiter was nice, he was not quite as attentive as I'd expect or like. The portion was nice. I have leftovers. The upcharge for sweet potato fries was worth it.
