These tubs at best have average reliability.. Response time with customer service very poor. Gone through two hot tubs in 12 years. Numerous mechanical problems, including repetitive mechanical problems. Service ridiculously priced. There's absolutely nothing special about the tubs or about the company in any way, shape or form. Once this current hot tub fails, which it's bound to do because there is something already not working about it, again, we will replace it with a different brand. Don't settle, do your due diligence. Look around and you'll find something better. read more

Warning - the only certified Hot Springs servicer in NW Oregon is Allspas. Allspas has terrible customer service. You can't reach them to schedule an appointment. I have waited on hold, left two voicemails and filled out an online form. I am on day four waiting for a phone call back. My four year-old Hot Springs hot tub has a leak! We purchased a salt water hot tub from Jennifer (via their Beaverton Oregon Hot Tub location) in April of last year. We had a great first impression of Jennifer and the showroom, where we found a good deal on a Hotsprings Vanguard Spa, with the ACE Saltwater System. The Hot tub is comfortable, energy efficient and I love that it doesn't stink of chlorine. We use it pretty regularly - I know some owners who say you don't use them enough, but we haven't found that to be true. We're probably in the tub at least 3-4 times a week in the cooler months. One thing that could have been communicated more clearly in the sales process (and the only reason this isn't a 5-star review) was that the Salt Cells on those hot tubs only last about 2 years.... they are a $900 replacement part, so you need to budget $450 a year after the first two years. We didn't understand that until ours went out (thankfully we were under warranty still) but I wasn't thrilled to hear that we'd signed up for such a hefty recurring annual cost... somehow that information didn't get processed when we were making the purchase decision. When the ACE system goes out next time, we'll look into alternatives to see if there's a viable non-chlorine solution, as that represents a pretty substantial investment on an ongoing basis. read more

We visited Oregon Hot Tub (in Clackamas) and left disappointed. The variety and quality of the tubs is great--well above 2 stars. The salesperson we dealt with was polite, professional and knew the inventory. All that said, we were very upfront about our budget and we were immediately steered toward tubs that cost over twice what we said we wanted to spend. While the tubs we were shown were really nice they were all well above our price point. We had heard that OHT also offers used/refurbished spas and when we asked about these the salesperson showed us photos on the OHT website of a six year old (and older) used spas that cost darn near as much as the new models we were shown in the showroom. We agreed to be added to the OHT email list and have received advance notice for more than one OHT outlet sale since we visited the Clackamas showroom. The ads have indicated that tubs are available for "any budget" from $800 up. We have to wonder why the outlet tubs/prices were not even mentioned when we were at the showroom looking at the new tubs that were double or more our budget. We get it, they wanted the sale, but something about how this was handled just seems wrong so we've decided to look elsewhere. Note about prices -- I choose 3-$$$ (pricey) for their range but it's closer to 3 and 4 $ depending on the model--they carry mostly high end. read more

WIshing we could give OHT less than one star. OHT in Beaverton, OR has given us the WORST customer service - and this is just over the phone - we have not even stepped into the showroom. We have been passed between sales reps and THEY HAVE STOLEN $2,000 FROM US by not refunding our deposit that is "100% refundable." First of all, we did our research in California and thought we had found the perfect hot tub with a Hot Spot hot tub. We called the OHT location in Beaverton, OR where we were planning on purchasing the hot tub that we picked out at the CA location. We were told that they have an amazing sales price for Labor Day weekend and the 20% down is fully refundable if we choose to go with a different company. "Just put down the 20% now and you can choose which model you would like when we come up to Oregon." We had paid the 20% down and told the rep Jack (who later passed us to apparently a higher sales rep, Dean) that we would want to do a water test of the hot tub that we had picked out. He said no problem - just call us when you get up to Oregon. So we did. We called and tried to arrange a wet test for the model we had talked about with the sales rep -just to be told that that model is not available for a wet test. This was a complete waste of our 20% down, 3 weeks of not looking for a different hot tub, and to top it all off and most importantly, our 20% down HAS NOT BEEN REFUNDED. We have complained to the manager and with our complaint, we expected the 20% off to be returned immediately. More than 24 hours later, we have not been credited back. Next stop is to call our credit card company and to contact the Better Business Bureau. read more

Aces. We were shopping around for a while, and we almost passed up Hot Springs Spa, the number one line sold at OHT. We had been in once but thought we should keep looking. As it turns out, this was indeed the place to go. From start to finish they really knew what they were doing. They never tried to oversell us and they let us get to know several of the spas before making a decision. They were so polite that after being educated we had increased our budget no matter where we purchased the spa from. The main tip is "wet test, wet test, wet test" at least be prepared to soak the length of your arm, but if you can get in, all the better. They'll even arrange for some quiet time at the store if you want to get in when no one is around. I had assumed all hot tubs were the same, and after going to some other stores I was sure I was correct. On the contrary, the jets in the Hot Spring line feel distinctly different, as in blatantly obvious that you're getting better therapy. In their mid range to upper echelon they feature about 4 different types of jets that do more than you think. I don't know how to describe it but it has to be felt. It's more than just a pulse and pressure thing, every spa we saw did that, these jets just felt different in the best possible way. Be prepared to make an investment. Our initial thought was that we would spend about 5K and get a sweet mini-pool for all our friends. Since Oregon is cold 10 months out of the year it makes sense right? For 5K you can get into other mid range brands all over town. There are plenty of spas in that price range. However, it won't be anyone's top end and it'll be missing a lot of key components that you want in Oregon. They have to cut costs somewhere and it ends up coming out of the warranty, materials in siding, insulation, and water treatment. In short you could end up with a spa that won't last as long, be more susceptible to the elements and be more work in the chemical department. For a little bit more, between 8-12K you can have something really stunning. I think our tub is going to last a lonnnng time. At first I was skeptical because I had family members that had burned through some el-cheapo tubs. After asking around one of my friends had an Oregon Hot Tub and it was going strong after 10 years. While I was in the OHT store a customer came in to pick up chemicals for his Hot Spring tub that he had bought in 1991! Said it was still running strong and he "can't kill it" so he keeps using it. The bottom line is the bottom line, so get educated and check out the different levels to get a sense of the quality. We're not upper crust by any stretch of the imagination, and fortunately OHT let us put some down and had a GREAT financing program. We didn't have to go beyond our limits and the loan was comfortable. This was an incredible difference in the type of shark infested waters we found elsewhere. The other thing that got us to pull the trigger: These guys get 5 stars for customer service alone. Patience, punctuality, and personality they've got it in spades. Every time I called with a question from inquiry to delivery they were spot on and incredibly friendly. Now if you read this entire review, and you're tired of scowering the net for information you won't find, just head over to OHT and save yourself more trouble than I did. I hired Oregon Hot Tub to come look at my hot tub lights because they weren't working. The repairman came on August 17, 2020. They charged me $169.00 to tell me it would cost $909.50 to fix them. They also "unhooked" the lights. My hot tub immediately started malfunctioning (wild thermostat fluctuations, shutting down, etc.)  When it shut down I also had ant infestations which were terrible. When I complained they sent the repairman back on September 2, 2020 and he said everything worked fine since I had replaced the filter. It didn't. When I complained again they said they would charge $170 an hour to fix it. I asked them if it was their position that after owning the hot tub for ten years it broke on the day he came and unhooked the lights and they said "yes". This is outrageous and unfair. I would highly NOT recommend them. read more

I had requested a service call for my hot tub and was sent a repairman to assess and make the needed repairs. He arrived early morning, opened the pump door and asked if we had a GFI switch. We said we didn't think so but the tub was put in 30 years ago and one was not required. He insisted he check the breaker panel and said we did not have the "required" device and he could not,"would not," do anything for us. After 20 minutes he left with doing nothing more than opening the pump door and looking at our breaker panel. To our surprise we received a charge on our visa for $183.20. We were never told there would be a service charge! When challenging this on the phone, we reiterated that we specifically asked if there would be a charge for him to come out and was told, NO, since the repairman was local no charge would be applied. So now, after spending 20 minutes of telling us he could not work on our tub, we are charged for his doing nothing. We were never told there would be a service charge. The customer service here is amazing! Jennifer and her team are so nice. Let's face it: hot tubs are expensive, and it seems daunting at first to throw down that amount of money. However, I would 100% recommend buying here because they really take care of you. When we bought our hot tub, they called us back after it was installed to make sure that we were happy with it and that we understood how to take care of it. But that's not all. After several months, we were having a problem with cloudy water, so we called them and asked what to do. They patiently walked us through properly cleaning the water, adding the right chemicals, and so on, and they didn't treat us like idiots. As a contrast, I stopped at a competitor hot tub store one day and asked one of the employees what to do about some water issues that we were having. The competitor said, "Sounds like you need to go home and read your manual," and didn't help me at all! I was shocked. The employees at Oregon Hot Tub never treated us like that, so I called their store again. As usual, they were polite and patient, and gave me the information I needed to solve my problem, in great detail. Most recently, we wanted to convert our tub from chlorine to saltwater. They set up the appointment, and Jennifer, one of the sales people, is going to come to our house after the conversion and walk us through taking care of the new system, since the maintenance is a little different with saltwater than chlorine. They are simply amazing, and I can't say enough good things about them! read more

Worst company ever. The customer service process is terrible. The follow through from ordering is not there. I feel like they try to cover up their mistakes. When I walk in, I feel the tension and have heard one guy (possibly a manager) demeaning others, and trash talking. It feels like walking on eggshells when I go in. Nobody should be talked to like that. It makes you wonder what goes on behind the scenes. Having had a Hot Springs spa in the past, when it came time to buy another spa, I only considered one brand-Hot Springs! Initially I was considering the Vanguard, as it was closest to my previous spa, The Classic. After "testing the waters" at the Beaverton store, my wife saw the Grandee and decided this was going to be our next spa! Our Grandee spa was delivered via a 60 ton crane up and over our house on a very challenging cul-de-sac location. The delivery team did an outstanding job. We loved the spa for about 8 months, at which time, the problems started. After numerous service calls, the decision was made to replace the spa. After a few more weeks, I received a call from AllSpa that the allocation of responsibility of the installation of the new spa had been worked out between the manufacturer and Oregon Hot Tub. My new Spa was delivered in early September and has worked flawlessly since. I will tell you, Oregon Hot Tub went above and beyond to make this unfortunate situation a very positive experience. Special kudos go out to Jennifer Bartels, my salesperson, for always taking my calls and texts and helping me along the way to stay calm and collected. Kenia at AllSpa service center was the right service rep to handle ALL the frustrating calls and work alongside of Jennifer to make the situation right. Mark Dickey, the installer, was very patient and instilled all the confidence I needed to make sure the install would go as planned. Finally, a big THANK YOU to the ownership of Oregon Hot Tubs as this was not a simple "tub replacement". The install took another crane and a full day of preparation-$$$. We have owned our Hot Spring hot tub (Aria model- salt option) for 5 months now and LOVE it! We did our research and looked at other tubs, but ultimately decided the best value for both longevity AND customer service would be Oregon Hot Spring. We worked with Jack and he was very knowledgable and helpful. He called and emailed after it was delivered to make sure we were satisfied and answered a number of questions I had as a new HT owner. Delivery went smoothly and I was given an orientation on how to set up for initial use (there's also the manual but who likes to read those, right?). II only offer a 4-star rating of my experience due to this reason. We came to a fair price based on a promotion which brought the tub I purchased into my budget. I asked that the crane fee of $360.00 be rolled into the deal. The decision maker came back initially and said the company would cover 1/2 or $180.00. The sales person then figured out how to accommodate the remaining $180 using in-store credit. I was disappointed in the decision maker not coming back and simply accepting my reasonable offer in the simple form. I know have to use the in-store credit which equates to having used by $180 in store and pay Hotsprings markup for chemicals where I would normally purchase them via an online source. I suggest not leaving any bad memory of any deal in the customer's mind.Simple little details like I experience put a slight tarnish on what otherwise would have been a 5-star experience. It turns out that I was right when I told the first kid that it wasn't a thermostat. We moved to Portland from the west coast (I know I haven't changed my Yelp account yet) waiting for our house to be built in Vancouver WA and I had always wanted a hot tub! We decided to just "go look" at the Beaverton store, even though we had done some research on hot tubs and thought we had settled on a model, (knew it was gonna be a Hot Spring's tub though...there was no question) there is nothing like seeing it in person. I was apprehensive going, knowing that if and when we buy we would have to wait to pull the trigger till we move to Vancouver and it just seems logical to buy it there as well. When we walked in we met Jennifer B that is what started it all she has been absolutely unbelievable! Jennifer was so nice and (she also ended up being very knowledgeable) she let us look around without any pressure, she asked if we had any questions which we did and she answered them all. We actually ended up liking a higher priced model then the one we went in to see in the first place. We told her our situation and she said that if we needed any help we could always come to her but she said the Vancouver store people are great too. When we left we called her back and asked even more questions which she gladly answered without knowing what we were gonna do. Because she had been so awesome we told her we would have to wait many months but when the time comes (and it was gonna come, cause I was gonna finally get my hot tub!) we wanted to have her be our sales lady (she surely deserved it) so she said great and no problem when you are ready just let me know and we will order your tub. We would call and ask for info we needed as we made plans with our landscaper, electrician and the carpenter who was building the pergola for our hot tub which she quickly emailed to us. She called us one day and offered us a special promotion which we couldn't refuse so we put our deposit down and had to just hurry up and wait for this backyard to get finished! We wanted to do a wet test to make sure the model we wanted was the right one for us and so her store didn't have our model filled with water so she arranged for us to go to another store and try out the Envoy as well as some others. We decided the "Envoy" was the tub for us, it is just beautiful with anything we could possibly need or want and more! So from the time we first met her to the time of the delivery of our new beautiful "Envoy" it has been over a year! We haven't used it yet but will be doing so very soon. We are so glad we met Jennifer and are looking forward to working with OHT, we heard they are the best and to employ someone like Jennifer they must be doing something right! The previous Yelper was right don't go to another place cause with a purchase such as this you don't wanna skimp on quality or service. This is a big purchase but the quality of a new hot tub should be right up there with the service you should expect...go to the place that won't be happy till you are happy OHT lives by this motto! read more

Don't buy from these guys! We bought a hot tub and over the years have had many problems with it. When they come out for one problem they always find more. It took over six months to resolve the last problem. All the while they kept trying to get us to trade up. When we made it clear we had no intention of buying a new hot tub they finally stopped. We had another problem recently and begrudgingly called them again. The hot tub was working when they arrived but the heater wasn't working. They were supposed to replace the heater. We told them a certain dollar amount and again they called to say it would cost more because it needed another part. We told them to leave. Of course, when we got home the hot tub didn't work at all. Now they are saying that they didn't do anything to it. BUYER BEWARE! read more

My elderly mother called them out to repair her hot tub. The spa was bought from them, and leaked. The dealership told her that "worst case scenario", it would cost $689 for parts and labor. They sent a guy out who installed a new heater, charged her almost $900 and told her it was all set to go. She filled it, and it still leaked. They sent out another tech, who replaced the power cord and told her that for another $1500 her could fix it. She told him to take his cord back, and he said that no one else could fix it, the parts had to come from him. Odd, since I found all the parts online for less than 1/3 of his price, including the heater that they refused to take back. They saw an old lady with a nice house, and ripped her off!!!! read more

Bought a sovereign from Oregon Hot tub last October. Love it. Didn't exactly like some of the sale tactics from one of the sales people I dealt with for over a year though. Delivery guys great! Anyway, after about 9 months, breaker kept popping as soon as we turned on the jets. Not easy to reach the service man either. I guess he spends lots of time on the phone. Paid $49 to get a guy out to tell me my jet pump needed to be replaced. Now, I have to wait at least 2 weeks just for them to get one from the factory in California. Or I could spend $100 to expedite shipping. Unreasonable. Hottub - 5 stars, service 1 star, salesguy 3 stars since he did try to get my motor here sooner. So I'll average it at a 3 star. read more

We purchased a hot springs and feel its a good hot tub. Not great. My biggest complaint is the spa takes a lot of attention. It's filtration is not tied in with the jets. And I don't use my spa every day so after not using spa when I turn on jets a lot of debris comes out of jets. No I am not perfect with my water chemistry but I was told by sled person I really didn't need to do much. I guess the problem is the main pumps don't come on when I am not using spa so if not using a lot of stuff is held in pipes until I use it. That seems a little gross to me. So now I have to go out and push my clean button ever day to feel my spa is clean. Little more up keep than I wanted. My last spa the jets would come on automaticity a few times a day to clear pipes. I just would of thought for 12000 dollars it would be able to take care of its self a little better. It more like a pet in that it needs to be taken care of. read more
