If I could give zero stars for Blue Mountain Pools I would. Nothing but trouble due to one issue after another. We had to threaten a law suit to get them to refund us money for faulty concrete. Today we had a contractor try to fix faulty concrete around the pool and discovered that the electrical conduit for the pool cover was only 1 1/2 to 3 inches below the surface of the concrete. This is a major code violation!!! The code requires 18" below the surface. When we called Blue Mountain Pools to cover cost of repair to reroute the electrical conduit - they denied responsibility. read more

This company was so wonderful. I was dealing with a waterfall feature in our new Portland home from thousands of miles away and nearly all pool contractors in PDX did not want to have a thing to do with it (they like the big jobs, new pools from scratch; understand, but really, no time for smaller jobs??; wait one year before coming to give an estimate; really???). Well, Blue Mountain and Roy and Jim came through with flying colors and best accolades. They gave a great proposal for tearing out the unserviceable 'Frankenstein' double pump system and putting in a totally manageable single pump with variable speed drive and timer and new chlorinator and new single pump/filtration system. Our family is so incredibly happy that they fixed this messed up plumbing job in record time and only used the highest quality materials and equipment. read more

Just wrapped up a $725,000 back yard project with the centerpiece being a pool by Blue Mountain. Roy and his team were easy to work with, timelines were kept, expectations managed, and the final product came out incredible. I can't recommend them more highly. Blue Mountain built our inground pool for the previous owners , which is unique and beautiful as well as extremely well built. We had a leak in the autofill line under the pool deck -nobody but Blue Mountain would even come out to look, but they did and were key to resolving the issue. Then they installed a new pool heater, which failed after 3 months. I contacted Pentair for the repair,as it is under warranty.They were very receptive, but had to schedule 1 month out. That same day blue mountain pools had a pentair certified technician on site and problem solved! Bottom line, this is an exceptional company which does high-quality work and not only stands by their work but goes the extra mile. Highly recommended! Roy was great in giving us ideas and even convinced us to put the pool in a totally different place that we never would have considered. His team was super-professional, prompt, and thorough. We are located several hours from their home base but they still pulled off everything as if they were a local contractor. The local backhoe operator that they hired dug out from under himself and his large backhoe fell into the deep end so that was some added humor. Six years later we love our pool. p.s. Roy, the owner of Blue Mountain Pools, has stood by his product every single step of the way. We had our old 90s pool refurbished. It looked gorgeous! I was so excited I couldn't wait to go swimming. Once inside I freaked out. All the tiles were scratched up. I couldn't believe it. Turns out one of the guys used the wrong rag to clean up and ended up scratching every single tile. Roy didn't miss a beat. He never played any games with me. Never gave me a hard time about it. He copped to the mistake and simply redid all the tiles. He handled the problem promptly and without any fuss. I really appreciate that. I have dragged that man over here several times to ask about this or that. He always shows up with a great can do attitude. You can trust him to do the right thing always. So refreshing. The pool is so beautiful now with the blue shiny tiles and the deep teal water. Sometimes I just lay outside looking at it. :) Ahhhh Summer.... wish it would last just a little bit longer. read more

Blue Mountain Pools put our pool in and did a terrific job so when we called to have our pool lights fixed and the tile repaired every time we call to make an appointment we NEVER get a return call even though Blue Mountain has two trucks parked at homes in our neighborhood in Gresham. Please fix our pool. I've been trying for the last two years Name is under Tim McCann. Right now I have to rate 1 star. Maybe this will change if I get a favorable quick response. read more
