It has been a long time since we've eaten at Mancy's, it was my husband's choice to celebrate his birthday. We dined early on Saturday evening and it was steady. Our server Kelly was the best! I couldn't decide on a drink and without hesitation she recommended the pomegranate martini. It was amazing, frothy and smooth and I couldn't resist ordering a second one! It's one of the best that I've ever had! We ordered the nut crusted Brie for an appetizer which had berry compote on top. It was good but could've been hotter. I actually took the rest home and heated it up again the next day and it was so good as I warmed it up! My husband ordered the steak and shrimp Alexander with a 1lb baked potato! I ordered the petite filet with green beans. Everything was delicious, our steaks were cooked perfectly medium! We also added mushrooms as a topping for our steaks. The steak was seasoned well, no need to add anything to it and I could cut it with just my fork. We were seated in a booth in the area to the left beyond the entrance. I liked it because it was cozy, dimmed lighting, and we witnessed several couples celebrating their anniversaries! I also saw others order onion rings that looked delicious and will have to try next time! We also asked about ordering dinner at the bar sometime and it's totally acceptable. The staff were very friendly. The interior is nice. It is definitely a classic steakhouse appearance. The lobster bisque was flavorful; they poured it tableside over lobster in the bowl. First time I've ever been here and it was great. The server was awesome and the food was awesome. The building itself was really cool. We went during lunch. I got the ribeye it came with au jus and creamy horseradish. Loved it. My partner got the strip steak. It was aged and it was absolutely perfect. Got the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. Perfect. We got the cheesecake for dessert. It was on the small side but still really good. The restaurant says it's over 100 years old at that location. It was a really cool atmosphere walking into. 5 stars but a little weird. We stopped in without a reservation, as we almost always do and we were told it would be about 45 minutes. We said we would wait. Then some seats opened at the bar and we told the girls up front that we would just sit there. They then told us that a new policy no longer allows dinner to be ordered at the bar. We then went to the bar and continued to wait for a table while having a drink. There were 5 other people at the bar and while we were waiting, they were all served dinner! I asked the bartender about it and she said of course we could order from the bar. We said we didn't initially because of the new policy about no food ordering at the bar. She said she was not aware of that as she pointed out everyone else eating. She wanted to know who told us that. Not wanting to throw anyone under the bus, we just said it was one of the girls up front. We were seated right after that conversation with the bartender. Our server was kind and helpful. I've been to many of the other Mancys and even the Mancys steak in Findlay. Right when you want into this place, just the building is magical. We were seated in the bar area. When we sat down I looked up at the ceiling and stained glass windows and was in complete awe. The cockatoo menu was very basic and we ordered h the r espresso martini since it's my sisters favorite. Reservation was a breeze on a Saturday night, though they were packed. Promptly seated, server was very attentive and knowledgeable. We had bread for starters, lobster bisque and french onion soup. Of course we gotta try the steaks.. we ordered three 16 oz ribeye steaks cooked to medium rare perfection, well seasoned with onions and mushrooms on the side. NY strip steak was tender as well.. We drove up from NC to do the hero hustle 5k on Saturday and we picked this place for dinner tonight. I am so glad we did. The ambiance was rustic and elegant all at the same time. Me my wife and 2 of are friends went to dinner here last night and 3 of us ordered the loaded baked potato... 45 minutes after we order our waiter comes out and tells us they are out of baked potato. And that's fine. We went with the fries. The problem is 20 minutes later the table behind us had 8 baked potatoes delivered to their table when our waitress comes back, we questioned the waitress about that because she just told us they were out of baked potatoes and standing at the table next to us was the manager the waiter proceeded to tell us they are out now and the manager turns around and says the oven stopped working at the same time ......... so which is it ?????? Why lie about something like that why not just say we forgot to put that on the order or whatever might of happened.. and then the manager tells us we will get you baked potatoes out asap another 20 minutes go by the waiter comes back and says we're just gonna take the baked potato off your bill. We're out of baked potatoes lol like we haven't heard that light tonight already !!!!we get our bill and of course the baked potatoes is not taking off our bill because it's included in the meal !!!!! So multiple lies from the manager and waiter. we paid over $500 between the four of us we will never eat here again ..... This is by far the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. read more

Chocolate dessert bag is pretty good. Waitress was very nice. Some of the ambiance is nice. Many patrons are older and it's so dark in there. Odd clown at the entrance ... maybe it has some kind of history. Overall 3.5 ish. I expect to really enjoy my meal for this $$$. read more

We have been going to Mancy's Steak House since we were children, and it was always consistently good and a real treat. However dined there 2.6.26 and was very disappointed with the food and drink quality. The 10 oz. filets were awful. Tough, grisly and aren't nearly the top notch steaks they used to be. The drinks were mediocre at best. They need to get on board with serving craft cocktails. The Old Fashion was served over crushed ice, not a single cube that is recommended for bourbon, made with a maraschino cherry not luxardo cherry which is typical drink style served nowadays. Service was fantastic, very polite and friendly. Ambiance is fantastic. However with the decline in steak quality will not be returning ever again. read more

This place is beautiful. We walked in and it looks like a church. This is a great date night experience. The ny strip was fantastic. The baked potato was huge and the chili was delicious. I wasn't wowed with the sea scallops. I had the margarita with their specialty tequila and it was pretty good. My husband had an old fashioned that was smooth. I've been here a number of times and drive from Michigan to eat here. In all the times I've been here, I don't think I've ever had a bad experience. The food is always fresh and delicious. I always get the filet and it's always tender, no fat. The baked potatoes are huge. The service is impeccable. We are always well taken care of by their resident longtime bar tender and by our server at the table. My husband loves the Shrimp Alexander and their Stoli Doli. I love the old school vibe of the restaurant. I've eaten my meal in probably every section and my favorite is the fireplace room just off to the left of the hostess stand. I had the seafood special - blackened mahi mahi with mangoes and a sweet chili sauce, accompanied by saffron rice, green beans and a tossed salad. Seafood entree was well prepared and tasty. The salad was SLIGHTLY wilted, but what tasted like a house-made ranch dressing made up for it. Price was a reasonable $25. There WERE pricier items on the lunch menu (a $46 filet), but there were also more reasonable salads and sandwiches. One sandwich that caught my eye was my friends prime rib dip - piled high and easily enough for two! Another lady had the luncheon salad with chicken, and that one looked crisp and inviting.
