The project being a tree removal, as well planting within a foot away (due to sprinklers only being able to reach so far). With that being said I had set a time and date with them to do the job. I ordered the tree for delivery the day prior, but once the day came for the job it was a no show. Concerned, I contacted NW Tree Work to see what was going on. Turns out they are short staff. I'm pretty reasonable so I go ahead and try to reschedule. This time, I'm told the job is more complex so a new date is set. Once the new date rolls around, again, no show. At this point I'm constantly contacting NW Tree Work to the point they are reading my messages but not replying. I have to call every single time to get a hold of someone, to which I'm told I will get a reply later in the day, and to which I don't. It takes me contacting each day to try and reschedule only to be told a date the project will get done by and for someone to not show up. Big waste of time. On top of that, when speaking to John he assured me the prior weekend he'd get the job done and not only that move the tree out of public view and water it so it's okay. Sadly, none of that ever happened or came into fruition, the trees flowers started dying off due to it not being properly taken care of which it would have been had it been planted as planned. Ultimately this lead to a lot of back and forth. Whether its short-staffed or health related issues, telling a customer a date you're going to get the job done and continuously bailing is not the right response to do. The kicker was John calling me later that day to tell me how to give more trust and understanding to professionals and how delays happen and it's all normal. How about building that trust with customers first by not bailing on them multiple times over and over again, then we can have that conversation. Aside from all the negatives, I can give them credit for at least reimbursing me on the tree (though they only would if they ended up taking it). I'm not typically one to leave reviews, but I think it's important for anybody else on this platform to be informed with what potential risks you have working with certain companies. Emotions aside, this is just my personal experience with the company and for that I would not recommend them moving forward.

Two huge limbs of our maple trees came down during the recent windstorm, and we were on the search…read morefor a crew who could cut down the limbs which were nearing close to the power lines in order to make sure that we and our neighbors were safe. I called 4 different tree services, which had a wide range of prices, everything from $875 to $1500! The $1500 price had said they'd have to hire a crew of 3 people and would be at our house all day. Yikes! We didn't hire them. Then, I contacted Larry at Treehappy by email. Because we didn't hear from him for 3 days, he apologized for the late response, saying that he usually responds better to voicemails, but how could I know that? he reasoned. I appreciated his apology, and his warmth, directness, and his willingness to reach out. During his free inspection, he offered the lowest fee (not knowing the other estimates), and also discussed with great wisdom, what might need to happen in years to come (to take down the tree as it was mostly dead), as well as the city permit we would need to get, as these were city trees. He assured us that it would be finished within a few hours, and it was! They also cleaned up all the debris, including debris that they did not cut down! We hired him on the spot! I liked that he worked with us within our price range, that his crew was incredibly efficient, and also responsible; one of the guys accidentally trimmed 1 extra limb and offered us money for it! Of course, we didn't take it, but his and Treehappy's level of accountability was extraordinary! We couldn't be happier! I see why Treehappy has its name! We are so happy, and you can bet that we'll be calling them again when that tree needs to come down! There were no hidden fees and the quoted price was the price I paid. Payment was only accepted once the job was done. 2) The quality of work was great and they hustle the entire time they work. The did the job right the first time. 3) The teamwork of the crew to get things done right and safely. 4) When they came, they reviewed the underground digging issues and knew the internet cable would be cut during the stump grinding process. They scheduled the grinding for another day so the cable/internet cable group could be called to put in a temporary line. No disruption of services! 5) It's a small business doing good work locally. 6) The people working for this company are good people.

They were excellent!…read more The first thing that made me want to use them is when Scott came out to look at my various fruit trees. I'd been told by other arborists that these trees needed trimming. When I asked Scott if my trees needed trimmed he asked, "Why?". He said they were fine as they were. That saved me a huge amount of money right there. He walked around the rest of my land giving good advice, and he didn't feel the need to do many things the other arborists wanted to do. This alone was even more money savings for me. Scott was very knowledgeable and so easy to work with. When we did decide what needed to be done, he sent out his crew who were very respectful and courteous. I had a tree cut down and other trees trimmed, and the crew cleaned up nicely so I didn't have extra debris on my yard. They were very efficient. I am not a friend or relative of Scott, but just someone who wants to give a good review to a company definitely worth it.

Jacob took my call to ask about an estimate to have a Japanese maple tree pruned. He didn't sound as "polished" as other businesses did, but he was "out and about" so he could be at my house in an hour to give an estimate. He showed up within the hour and his bid was very competitive. He called me back and said he had a man available that same afternoon, so Michael came and did the pruning and asked me from time to time what else I might wanted removed. He did exactly as a I wanted. He removed all cut branches and used a leaf blower to clean up. They don't use a credit card machine, so you will pay with cash or check. Also a reason for the 4-star rating. I suggest to them that they tell the customer upfront. Total cost: $300 as was quoted.

He arrived with his assistant Jason and got right to work, toppling our tree with efficiency and safety in mind. Several shrubs encroached on our house and roof, and blocked our windows. Everything came down smoothly and quickly. They came back the next day to stump grind and clean up. When all was said and done, our yard looked great and you wouldn't even know that the guys were here. I highly recommend Tree Experts NW. They were so nice to deal with and followed through with everything we agreed on. They did a great job.

On 10/02/19 finally around 4:30pm I received a call back from Anna and as I picked up to start talking she hung up so I called her right back and had to leave another message and waited for another 20 minutes before she called me back and said I must have butt dialed you and that she needed to call me back anyway. We start talking about days that would work for us and she had one day in mind but it was not good for me, so I gave her 3 other options that would work and she couldn't give any answer and said that she would have to call me back with the answer on 10/03/19. On 10/03/19 at 7am I called them again to set up a day and a time and once again no answer ... still waiting for her to call me back. This company only has 2 guy's on the job and 2 guys on call and no cherry-picker or a lift. 10/04/19 by this time I have called 4 other companies and have had quicker responses back. At this point I will not be using this company. Poor customer relations, lack of  communication, therefore their services are probably poor and worthless.
