I love whatever happened to orient express! I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Ashley, her mother and her two angels of kids. Every time I've gone in I am always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. Goes without saying the service is awesome. The food though- WHAAT! You can taste the wok on the lo mein noodles. I think they actually put blue crab in their Rangoons, dumplings- phenomenal. The appetizer combo is always good, they never skimped me on a skinny rib or a whack chicken wing. Very interesting place. Just ate there for the first time. CONS: Simply Spiked Lemonade on one of the tables where an employee had been sitting...that's alcoholic for those that don't know. The wait was long, but I believe they make the food to order. Cash only. That's a little sketchy to say the least, but not a deal breaker. PROS: friendly service. Going to go ahead and be honest here in saying that we've been ordering for 3 years. At first the food was disgusting. We didn't order for a long time. The last 1.5 years the food has improved. One of the drivers is very kind, she asks about our family and she knows who we are every time we see her. Very friendly! But lately, twice we have ordered from this place and have had to call after 1.5 hours and still never received our order. Tonight we waited almost 2 hours and when we called they told us another 40 minutes. Needless to say, if you're in a hurry - I would NOT recommend. Pretty Good for a Chinese/Vietnamese carryout located in the sticks. Believe me, Deale/Churchton is the sticks. I have been eating their food for the last 20 years. Only downside is you have to either have cash or a check as they do not take credit or debit cards which is kind of a must have for any vendor of either goods or services these days. It would also help if they would put a clearer copy of the carry out menu on their web site. It is rotated the wrong way and is pretty unreadable. Because the Chinese food is indeed just ok. BUT...the Vietnamese selections are DELICIOUS. Skip the sweet & sour what-not. Have the Vietnamese salads, Poorman's steak or the broiled chicken with lemongrass...four delicious skewers on cabbage salad. They also have...hands down...the BEST shrimp toast I've ever had.
