Great cheap Chinese always wins!!! When ur on a budget and it's decent and good. My go-to for my fried rice and lo mein. I frequent this place so much that they already know my order. Even if my girlfriend was to go pick up something, they know what to do. Half and half... Found this place while out driving. The outside of the restaurant looked sketchy but plenty of parking. Once you get inside we realized it's like the Panda Express layout. But you have to choose a combo (there 5?) and if you want rice or noodles. From there depending on the combo you choose your sides. The servers were so kind and friendly and helpful. Once we got our food we sat down and began to eat. What's weird is that we enjoyed the beginning part of eating the food but after a while it just didn't taste good. So we didn't finish eating but it was enough to fill us up. Needless to say we won't be coming back, just wasn't what we hoped it would be. read more

The only thing I recommend getting from this place is the fried wontons! Growing up as a kid, me and my family would always dine inside our favorite oriental restaurant. My favorite order was the wonton soup and the fried wontons. In this restaurant their fried wontons definitely reminded me of that place which is something very hard to find. read more

WOW. I have been looking for good Chinese food (I mean GOOD Chinese food) in the area and have not been able to. This place is deceiving when you walk in. You might be skeptical at first appearance but Dude! the food is amazing. I tried 5 different items. Garlic Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Pepper Beef, Spicy Chicken, Oriental Chicken and Fried Noodles and all were very very delicious. The chicken tasted very fresh. The Beef was fresh and tender as well. It's my first time in this restaurant, was reading the Yelp reviews and so I decided to try it. Needed some fuel from working out and didn't feel like cooking, and needed something fast and tasty, lol... It wasn't crowded when I got there, and was greeted by one of the staff behind the counter. Everything looked pretty fresh, I tried the oriental chicken, which was pretty good, and chicken chow mien, it was also tasty... They don't have bottled water so I had unsweetened tea. And I paid less than 8 dollars.... I think that was pretty good price.... The establishment was pretty clean, and they do get spurts of customers coming in... This place is not bad, and I recommend this place to try it out. You will not be disappointed... I do recommend that they serve bottled water, since not everyone drinks soda or tea... You know, this place isn't bad. The food is just fine, nothing spectacular, but definitely not bad. I usually get the combo with three choices. I get chicken chow mein (instead of rice), garlic chicken, mushroom chicken, and the broccoli and beef. All of which are pretty good. Sometimes I have the rice, but as it may be slightly cheaper than the chow mein, its not very great. Plus, the service is super fast, which is great, considering I am usually buying them with a limited time available in my life. Plus, the biggest sell for Oriental Cafe is the price, they are very cheap for the amount of food you will get. You simply cannot beat the price, like with anything or anywhere. A plate where your to-go box is packed full of food is about $8. I guess if I have an issue with Oriental Cafe is sloppiness and vegetables. It seems whenever I get to where I want to be to sit down, the box has juices just seeping out of everywhere and when the people put the food in the box, it is like a slop kitchen, where everything is...slopped in your box. Then there is the vegetables. If you get beef and broccoli, just know you are really getting broccoli with some beef in it. You could literally end up, if you pick out all the vegetables, with the top of you box full of a medley of vegetables. They kill you with vegetables. I wish I could just make my own box. With all that said, I still go to Oriental Cafe a lot, especially because they are located close to me. Someone in this store stole 5 dollars from me by writing themselves a 5 dollar tip. I went there last week, and I spent 7.89 on a number 1 with fried noodles. All week on my bank account, I saw the charge as 7.89. Then just now, the charge passes through pending and gets to 12.89. I'm not someone who generally tips on something like take out, and especially when I am aware my bank account is low, especially not 5 dollars for essentially putting food in a container and ringing me out. UPDATE: I went to my bank to file a fraudulent claim, and stopped by at the restaurant. The owner gave me $5 dollars and showed me my receipt from Thursday, 3/26/20, and it showed that I did not write anything in the tip portion of the section. He then proceeded to try and blame my bank, suggesting it was a 5 dollar overdraft. He wasn't making any sense, as despite the fact I was originally charged 7.89, the merchant are still the ones who factors the total charge before sending it to the bank. His deflection to trying to blame my bank makes me feel he is possibly covering up for an employee, or doesn't understand, which I find hard to believe since he's had to be in this industry for a while. Be cautious when purchasing with credit from this place, save your receipts, and look at your online banking to make sure the charges match what your receipt says. read more

I ordered from this place for our family dinner. Part of that order was the "Sweet and Sour Chicken". When the food was dropped off (delivery using "We deliver Killeen") the sweet and sour chicken was missing the sweet and sour sauce. We called to inquire why there wasn't any sweet and sour sauce included. A simple "We're sorry, we'll fix your order" would have sufficed. But no, the explanation given was "some people don't like the sweet and sour sauce, so you have to specify". Why would I have to tell you I need sweet and sour sauce, in my SWEET AND SOUR order? Common sense has escaped this placed. But for anyone ordering from this place, please specify EVERYTHING, there is no common sense, regardless of the food name! read more

If you don't know it's there, you will never know it is there just by passing by on stan schlueter. Every time I come back home to Killeen I stop by here at least once. I get the lo-mein, oriental chicken, egg roll, and usually a 3rd item that's different every time. I am drooling while typing this right now. I used to lI've this place like it was a hidden secret. I got my family and friends to eat here as well. I no longer feel the same. My husband went to go pick up dinner for us which was two orders of lo mein, two of mushroom chicken, and two of orange chicken, along with our egg rolls. The mushroom chicken was pretty good. I then had the Orange chicken. As soon as I took a bite, it was mushy which was usual. I took another bite which was hard to the point I had to spit it out. Upon closer inspection, it was apart of an animal foot- 2 twos with nails. I freaked out, had my husband calm me down long enough for me to speak. I showed him what I bit, and he threw both of our plates away. I don't want our money back, I don't want an apology. I tried this with high hopes due to the strong reviews on Yelp. Big mistake. If Chinese food in a run-down mall is your idea of good food, you'll love it. The sweet and sour chicken has a strong taste as if the chicken was old, the rice is yellow rice and not fried rice, the egg rolls taste like they've been prepared in week-old grease, and the egg drop soup tastes as if it's been prepared with oil instead of broth. The first time I have ever had to throw food away. First, let me start with the fact that it's not authentic Food. The chicken was extremely over seasoned & salty. The"fried" rice was more like steamed rice. Some of the rice was yellow & some was white. It had a few vegetables here & there. Not to mention some parts were cold.
