Alice was the best server I have encountered, ever. Before I even ordered anything, she had brought me lemon and a photo of an ingredients list of their GF raisin toast. Staff here goes above and beyond, and nothing short of exceptional is allowed to leave the kitchen, according to the signage facing the team as they enter the dining room. I had a seasonal southwest salmon salad. The salmon was moist and well seasoned, a large portion. The salad was tasty with corn, mango, avocado, tomato and tortilla strips. I chose ranch instead of sweet honey lime vinaigrette. Companion chose small pancake portions and our server encouraged him to order one each of the lemon curd and key lime pancakes, plus add on of two sunny side up eggs and two thick slices of perfectly cooked bacon. Empty dishes were cleared promptly, cashier was efficient. Clean, upbeat place with a broad breakfast menu, but no liquor license. If I could, I would actually give them 3.5 stars. Most of our food was good, but my husbands biscuits and gravy was cold, and nobody has time for cold breakfast. The other downer was the banana pecan French toast. It tasted like it was deep fried, which I think it was, but so greasy. A few bites and that's all we could handle. Now for the good stuff. They have amazing hot chocolate for kids. We shared a brioche cinnamon roll and it was absolutely amazing! We ordered the chicken tinga omelette, the sauce is so yummy, and they have excellent house fries, the green Chile Benedict was some of the best bites! I was looking for a nice breakfast place to try and this please have hopped up on my feed before, and since I was in the area, I decided to give them a try. I do have to warn it is only cash. I did not know this and I'm thankful they had an ATM. I will send it right away, but it was also like 8 AM. I ended up getting there two pancakes two bacon two eggs I want to say this was about 10 to 12 bucks. I also got their homemade orange juice which was about five bucks. I will say the orange juice was delicious. Bacon and eggs were good. I mean you can't really go wrong with it but then as I think about it, some people still do but they did theirs good. Now the pancake was very interesting. They add lemon somewhere either in the batter or somewhere in the pancake and so when you eat it you get this citrusy bite. I didn't hate it. It was actually pretty decent. I did not feel like I had enough maple syrup but I'm sure I could've asked for more my server. What a delightfully wonderful breakfast experience. The food was absolutely outstanding!! I had the Green Pork Chili Benny and my wife had the El Paso Omelette. The base of the Benny was a masa corn base that was a delicious twist for a Benny with a hint of sweetness that went really well with the green pork chili. The chili was very flavorful and not spicy hot. The Omelette was delicious too and came with a side of sourdough toast with house made strawberry jam that was incredible! The proportions are quite large and it's all very reasonably priced. The service was quick and very friendly. The decor and atmosphere was nothing but fun!! My friend and I had not seen each other in several months due to Covid restrictions etc. finally we made plans to get breakfast and She picked this spot and I'm so glad she did as I probably may have not stumbled upon this gem myself. She got there at 9:45am on a Sunday for us to meet at 10am and got our names on the list for a 20 minutes wait. They do have a covered area for waiting but with social distancing there were enough spots so they have placed a little picnic bench on the side of the building and the front with some coverage from the sun which was quite convenient on this 105degree morning. We were seated within the 20 minute wait. The staff were amazing! They were all very friendly and checked in on us in the usual amount of time to make sure we had all we needed from drinks to food to take out box. I had the tres leches pancakes with the side of eggs and bacon! It was incredibly flavorful. The saltiness of the bacon cut the sweetness of the pancakes. Great combination! My friend got pancakes as well but just the regular kind which also was great. When we were done eating our, our server asked if we wanted to get a take out container for our drinks, I had iced tea and that was really awesome to have as an option so I took advantage of it. The ambiance of this place feels like a vacation to me. You walk in and it has this hawaii, place bu the beach vibe. It had airboats decor, stuff you would see at local hawaii restaurants and even the restaurant spots by beaches in California. I really did enjoy everything about this spot and only had one issue. It's a CASH ONLY spot so that was a bit inconvenient to have to take money out, spend the additional fee for that as well from the ATM. Came here on a Tuesday morning with my family. The place was busy even on a Tuesday which is always a good sign, but the wait was about 5 minutes. The man at the front was very kind and accommodating for a party of 5 with no reservations. This restaurant is cash only but there is an atm inside with no charge. The server was very sweet and knowledgeable to our questions when debating about menu items. Overall the vibe started off good and stayed there the entire time. Long wait but worth it! I had some amazing French toast. The portion was gigantic and it was cooked to perfection. The only thing I was a bit turned off by was the amount of grease. I used a paper towel to press out as much as possible. The hashbrowns that came as a side were nothing to be desired. They were greasy and starchy. I'd rather choose another side next time. My boyfriend ordered the garden hash and said it was great. Packed with flavor and veggies. He added bacon for a bit of protein and flavor. He is normally a fairly slow eater and he made this disappear off his plate within minutes.
