I've been coming to this location regularly for quite a while and have generally had positive experiences, which is why I feel the need to address this. There is a brunette employee with glasses at the pickup counter who has repeatedly been rude, dismissive, and unprofessional during interactions with me. This has now happened around four separate times, so this is clearly not a one-time misunderstanding. I am an extremely understanding customer, even when my order was missing items in the past. I have never been rude, confrontational, or difficult toward staff. I work in customer service myself, so I understand stress, busy environments, and dealing with customers all day. That is exactly why this repeated treatment has stood out to me so strongly. Almost every time I've interacted with her, I've had to ask for the drink that already comes with my meal, and she consistently acts irritated about it. I have also never once been asked if I needed utensils or anything else with my order. Today was the final experience that made me decide I will not be returning. I said "hi" to her when approaching the counter, and although she clearly recognized me, she did not acknowledge me whatsoever or say hello back. Instead, she walked away with a rude attitude before I could even ask anything. She then handed me a drink I never ordered, which honestly felt intentional because she already knew I would need to ask for the correct drink that comes with my meal. Rather than simply communicating professionally, she avoided interaction entirely and practically threw my food onto the counter without basic customer service or acknowledgment. It was honestly baffling and absolutely unacceptable behavior toward a customer who has never once been rude to her. The reason this has upset me enough to speak up is because I have genuinely never been treated this way by staff at a restaurant before. This is not even only about my own experience anymore, I genuinely do not want other customers to be treated this way as well. No customer should repeatedly feel dismissed, uncomfortable, unsettled, for no reason. The manager I spoke to was very kind, but I genuinely believe this employee's behavior needs to be addressed seriously because it reflects poorly on the business and pushes customers away. I absolutely would like to speak further with someone regarding this situation because this level of repeated hostility and unprofessionalism is shocking and should not continue happening to other people. read more

This place is very average. The Bollo spaghetti with meat sauce was average, kinda bland. The lasagna was my least favorite. Very oily and way too much cheese. All I could taste was cheese. The best dish is the large chicken Parmesan pasta. It was by far the best tasting and really good. Service was satisfactory. Ambience is off. The decor is cool vintage vibes. Oregano's is a fun family oriented Italian restaurant that can be found throughout the valley. The vibe is retro and they specialize in pizza, sandwiches, entrees, and appetizers. The pizza options are thick or thin crust, but both are very good. The service is decent, but this is because it can get busy at times. They have a full bar and some good desserts too. I wouldn't say the pizza is amazing, but it is a cool atmosphere and we have never had a bad meal here. This location is consistent with the others and prices are pretty good. This place was great! I'll admit, when we entered and saw fortune cookies along with the mixed decor, we were quite confused. Then looking at the menu with Mexican twist on Italian... we were even more confused. Tbh... it actually worked really well. Dylan was our waiter and took great care of us. He was kind and attentively/made good recommendations. We tried the house salad, the guacamole, chicken parm, and Ragin Cajun. The Ragin Cajun was amazing. Super flavorful - best dish. She was given a piece of pizza dough to play with, and an Etch a Sketch to pass the time while waiting for dinner to arrive. We had the Valentine's Day special and it was delicious. We sat down at 5:35 pm and the table clearly advertised the happy hour menu. When we ordered, the waiter told us they "aren't doing happy hour for the next few days" because they are switching menus. However, several of those same happy hour items were still available on the regular menu--just at full price. If you are advertising happy hour on the table, you should honor it. This felt misleading and disappointing. Clear communication and honoring advertised specials should be the bare minimum. read more

Yummy spot for good traditional Italian food! The fryer was backed up the night we went so the appetizer didn't arrive until after our mains. Other than that it was great. Parking was a challenge as this is a happening place on the weekend. We only had to wait about 10 min for a table and then we were eating within maybe 10-15 min. This chain is sort of like Buco de Beppo but the food seems less mass-produced. They have an unlimited spaghetti and meatball bowl which is a great deal, and also portion sizes and prices are reasonable. The shrimp pasta I had was very good as was the toasted ravioli. I'm an old man so looking at all of the antiques filling everywhere available overhead. We are at least 10 years or more Eating at Scottsdale and Tempe locations. They have been equal on this review. Food we order has always met any standards of hot, fresh and tasty. The Dining area has always been clean. The staff at both locations have always been knowledgeable about the food and friendly checking on us several times. Note; We will not return to eat at a place where the hostess and servers look as they do not all get along. This stems from Management not taking care of their people. Good food, service was typical for this location: TERRIBLE! I have waited 90 minutes for 3 sandwiches to go at this location, after calling in and driving here. This night was no exception. Overall my experience tonight was pretty good, Our waiter Elijah was extremely helpful and kind. however my girlfriend bit into a chicken wing and noticed it was definitely raw. The kitchen manager Curtis came out and was very rude, telling us that basically "our perception" was not accurate, and that sometimes they just come out a little funky. He gave no effort at all when it came to accommodating our table. He asked us what WE wanted him to do about it and looked at the server obviously irritated. read more

We had a table of 10, and while the food was amazing as always, we were very disappointed with the service this time. Our server was friendly but barely checked on our table and never refilled our drinks. The real frustration began when we asked to split our bill into four checks at 8:11 PM -- and didn't see our server again until 8:45 PM. We had a reservation for another event at 9, and considering we arrived for dinner at 6:30 PM, the delay was unacceptable. When the checks finally came, one of our friends was charged incorrectly -- his bill should've been $40, but the first charge came back as $64. When we asked to have it fixed, the process dragged on, and by 8:55 PM it still wasn't resolved. The manager wasn't much help, and when the check was returned again, it showed a charge of $83 instead. He ended up being charged twice with incorrect amounts and now has to wait 3-5 business days for his bank to process the refunds. After more than 30 minutes, the charge was finally corrected. Overall, we were very disappointed in this location's service. We've never had an issue at any of the other locations, but this experience left a bad impression. read more

Oregano's never misses. The place has such a chill, welcoming vibe the second you walk in -- smells like fresh pizza and garlic bread in the best way. Our server was super friendly and funny, always checking in without hovering. The pizza came out hot, crispy on the edges, and loaded with toppings. Their pasta portions are massive too -- definitely enough to share. I also gotta say, their Pizookie dessert is unreal. Easily one of my favorite spots in Arizona for a casual night out with good food, good energy, and solid prices. Oreganos is by far the greatest place I have ever been to I would recommend it to everyone and anyone service can be slow sometimes but it's so amazing it's worth it. read more

Normally we love going to Oregano's. In fact, we've been to several of their locations and this one numerous times because it's the closest. We were there last night and initially had the WORST experience. They seated us in the last booth in the bar next to the sliding patio door. They had the sun shades down but it was so hot. We even asked our server (the bartender and such a sweet guy) if they could turn the air down. He said that he would ask his manager. After about 20 minutes it started to cool down. However, they ended up putting a large party on the patio and had the door open as they set up which immediately made it hot again. Once the party arrived we assumed they would close the door but didn't. We ended up asking them to close it after about another 20-30 mins of sitting there. All during this time we were still waiting for our food (40-50 mins since getting there). Finally our server came over and said that he would be happy to move us to the other side of the restaurant. We happily moved and it was 1,000 times better. The immediate change in temperature actually had us cold. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting about 1.5 hours before receiving our food (from the time we got to the restaurant) and another 30 minutes to get boxed up and the check paid. The food was subpar - most likely because it took so long to come out. We appreciated them moving us and the rockstar staff, but I don't think we'll be coming back. We left feeling like we had been held hostage for 2 hours. read more

Oregano's in Scottsdale does it again. The atmosphere is fun and easy going. The staff if friendly, responsive, and fun to talk to! I travel south for work often for a week at a time and Oregano's is a staple on every trip! There is outdoor seating available at the bar or at outdoor tables. When you are from WI and you are in a state that is warm this is VERY important! Outdoor bar is my choice every time! On this visit we ordered a deep dish pizza. It was AMAZING! the crust, toppings, and sauce all perfection. We had each had 3 pieces leaving 2 left and a group across the bar overheard us talking about being full but wanting to finish it and started cheering us on. We had to entertain the thought and ultimately finished a medium deep dish leaving nothing to waste. We also had hand mixed margaritas with our pizza from our stellar bartender! My car was in the shop so I walked over to Oregano's for lunch. This is a 1940's World War II-themed (Italian) diner. Their lunch menu is very reasonably priced, and I decided to go with the Lunchbox combo, which is a "heckuva"slice of pizza and a salad for $10.29. I've been to a number of Italian restaurants for lunch and a slice of pizza and a salad can look like a lot of different things : ) For starters, the "heckuva" slice turned out to be not one but two slices. And I've been to Oregano's before, but I don't remember their pizza being this good! I ordered a slice of pepperoni and sausage. The cheese was outstanding! Had a thinner crust, very tasty, and the sausage was a crumbly pork sausage--tasted really good. Too greasy for some. Perfect for me. The service was much better than average. I've been to Oregano's several times at other locations in the past and this is the worst location. The Big Rig pasta was very watery and did not have any flavor. The calamari was served cold. The Bellini was way too sweet to even finish. The servers were friendly - the only good thing about this place apart from the convenience of the location. Not sure if I would ever return to this location if they maintain this poor quality of food and drinks. read more
