Was an amazing service and fantastic experience -- Maddie was wonderful and definitely would be coming back!

We ordered delivery and over an hour later we called and they told us the driver had just left the store with our food, we only live 4 miles away.. then after 35 minutes of waiting with no food we called again... I asked to speak to a manager and they put me on hold for 10 more minutes, when our food finally arrived it was freezing cold, missing items, and tasted horrible. The manager was rude and unprofessional. There's tons of pizza places around Tempe, I advise you to order somewhere else!!! I'd give this place 0 stars if that was possible, the 1 star is for the fact that their ranch was good. read more

I had an AWFUL experience with this location. "Sarah" hung up on me after she told me they were out of my area. Then after I called her out on her unprofessionalism, she proceeded to call me three times on a blocked caller id. Worst service ever. I understand it's 3am but you are still being paid to do a job and you were not doing it. read more

I went to Genoa pizza around 1:30/2 am the manager on duty Bridget was very rude and disrespectful. I had ordered a pizza and she denied me a water cup and said " we don't offer free water here" she then continued to give me attitude. The food here is great but the customer service makes me think twice before returning. I work an HR position in the state of AZ and will be reporting this. Update: The owner called to reach out to me after my awful experience. She was very kind, apologetic and offered a credit to try them again in hopes of swaying my opinion. I tried the chicken fajita salad and a piece of their cheese pizza. I LOVE the cheese pizza. I'm not really a huge pizza fan, especially cheese pizza, but this was amazing. I did a carryout order, and I waited too long to go get my food, so the salad was a little unappetizing by the time I picked up my order, but I still enjoyed my food, and had an overall good experience. read more

Being a Philly native I have certain expectations for a "philly cheesesteak." The bread is claimed to be Amoroso rolls, which means the world if you know what they are. They don't toast them nor is there enough meat inside. You can take about 2 inches off the ends before you actually hit a bite of meat. These are cool for a late night meal when everything else is disgusting or closed. The pizza isn't bad but always pick up. Delivery is slow and food arrives cold and in poor fashion. Overall it isn't terrible but it's not the best. read more

This place has great, crappy, late night pizza. It's cheap (or it used to be) and is nice and greasy. It's definitely not the kind of pizza you want to eat every time you're craving pizza, but it's for those late night binge-sessions, drunk or not. As of now, they are no longer accepting coupons, which is a disappointment, considering they used to give them out with every order. Time to empty my stockpile. Usually the pizza is light on the sauce, which is why I prefer it. But lately its been very tomato-y, but not consistent enough where I can ask for "light sauce". They do offer FREE flavored crust, which is wonderful. I've never tried anything other than cheese/pepperoni pizza though. Lastly, the service does suck. I'm eating my original philly cheese steak and it's nothing but bread and meat. I mean, a damn cheesesteak is supposed to have cheese WHERES THE CHEESE?! This was my first (and last) time trying their restaurant. We ordered the pizza which was not as good as I expected, and the euro was absolutely awful! They do a decent job and serve it well, sometimes they don't have free cups for water, wink. Ill have to try thier wings someday, but back in the day, a wing meant, the whole wing, like from the breast to the tip. Now its one of three sections of the wing, wtf. We visited here very late on Thanksgiving night and we were greeted right away. The employees were very friendly. The main person who waited on us, Johnny, obviously takes great pride in what he does. We ordered salad and cheese steaks and he came over several times to make sure that we were happy with our food. Absolutely the worst service in Tempe. Slowest delivery times ever. If you call in an order for pick up be prepared to wait 20 mins and an additional 20mins when you get there. When you order delivery u can expect to wait 1-3 hours for food (not an exaggeration) so if you were expecting hot food please lower your expectations. Everyone who works here moves slow as fuck and looks like they hate there job. The only reason I come is because the food is half decent and they are open late. Who ever owns this place really doesn't give a fuck about there business and if it wasn't for asu pumping the life blood in to this place they would have been closed a long time ago. read more

On July 27th my husband had ordered food from the Genos on 1933 E. University rd at 10:51. He went to pick it up and it was not the correct order. My husband then called and tried to get the order remade. He spoke to Bridget who states she is the store manager. She then proceeds to be very inappropriate as well as rude and says we are not aloud to get a refund and if we want to get the order made right, to bring it back. I then proceeded to call again and request to speak to her, asking why there was a very rude conversation on the phone with my husband. She then proceeds to tell me that they are not going to remake the food unless he brings it up there. I then hang up and proceed to tell him to get a ride and take back the 40 dollars worth of food. My husband Eric then takes it back where Bridget then walks up to my husband and says "she didn't have to hang up on me". She then states, " I'm not remaking your food". When my husband asks, then why are did you tell my wife that you would"? Bridget stayed, " she should not have hung up on me". Then she proceeds to say, what are you going to do about it? I have cameras everywhere and I'm not going to remake something for you people when all you want is free food". Once I was notified of the incident, I called her and told her that was very unprofessional and the reason for me hanging up was because of my AUTISTIC 3 year old running around my house. She then told me that she didn't care, and then Started to argue with me with her hanging up in my face. I have been going to that restaurant for years and never have I felt disrespected, discriminated, or put into a category like I was a criminal. I have never cause any problems with this store and this is not how you treat customers especially when they always pay 30 dollars or more for an order. The fact that she told my BLACK HUSBAND that she had cameras like he was going to physically harm someone is unacceptable. I would like a call back from someone in the corporate office in regards to how I feel. I'm not asking for free stuff, all I'm asking is that this situation never happens for anyone and it be addressed. read more

hey i highly recommend this og genos location this is the best food i've had in a long time especially being a college student meals aren't as great anymore. but please ask for justin to make your philly for the best sandwich ever unless you want a quesidilla ask for christine shes very polite and helps you easly make a decision. If I could rate a 0, i would. Ive been ordering from this place for a year. I ordered last night and they took an hour and a half to come. Thats even after i called an hour in and she said my food was still sitting there. The food comes and i get the pizza and wings and everything is COLD. Not luke warm, COLD. I call and advise her of this and she states she will have it all replaced if I can come and pick it up. I tell her i will bring the old food and she said " no its okay". I go to the place after 15 minutes and the guy there is asking where my order is. The old order she told me NOT TO BRING. SHE IS STARING AT ME THE WHOLE TIME. i told them she told me not to bring it and the guy said, " well next time this happens, make sure you bring your old food". I grabbed my order and walked out. Ordered pizza at 10:15 PM, called at 11:00, they said it would be 15 minutes. Called at 11:25, they said 15 more minutes. Called at 11:50, the driver was completely lost. The manager asked for our address, and he made it a point to clarify whether or not it was in Mesa or Tempe, then once he clarified, he wrote it on the ticket, then told the driver the wrong location. Guy's a joke. We got our pizza at 12:20 AM, we were too hungry to deny it. When we got it, the cheese was like cardboard, and the sandwich we ordered was soggy and disgusting. read more

We usually have good luck finding great food but were seriously wrong tonight. The food was warm since it was 30+ minutes late. The delivery person sounded like a dingbat when they called 20 minutes late to find out where we were at after ample directions were put in. We've had delivery with the same directions and no problems thusfar. The best thing was the mushrooms but they were on the warm side even. Horribly disappointing. read more

I decided to give genos a try, my neighbors order it all the time and tell me its the best pizza in town so I stopped in today finally. I walked in and didn't know how big the menu was, it was so hard to choose from all these delicious items on the menu. A very polite lady with red hair took my order and she was very helpful. I went in expecting to get pizza but ended up ordering a burger and baked fries. The supporting cast was great and cooked my order fast and brought it to me in no time. Delivery drivers were coming in and out the whole time, I now see why this place gets so much business. I recommend this place to anyone read more

Maybe they're just a good pizza place, and don't do so well for their "famous" philly cheesesteaks... Got the veggie philly, the taste wasn't bad but not great, bread was soggy when it was delivered after an hour and a half... Didn't get napkins, straws with the order and the driver didn't even have a pen to sign the reciept. They went to the wrong location twice, even though our hotel is less than 5 minutes from the business. Wishing we had gotten Jimmy John's instead!! read more
