The photos for this can make one assume it's in almost a pie crust. It is not. Dish is in literally a baked pancake. So it was a soft texture 'crust' or 'shell'. Just a heads up there. Waiting for the mall to open so stopped by. I beat the rush and was sat immediately. Carlos was my waiter and was nice and quick. They have tables and booths of different accommodate all. I had the Carmel French toast. It was the right size bread, not the Texas size. They do offer that though if you like that. Bacon was meaty and crispy. The hash browns were seasoned which was great. I am here once a week (at least) and I have been doing this for a little over two years. Do you want to know how many times I have been disappointed? The answer to this question is a big resounding 0 times. I have tried almost everything on the menu and of course I have my personal preferences but I have never been disappointed with anything I have ever ordered. Another thing I have never been disappointed with is the service. I am ALWAYS treated very well by everyone I come in contact with. We've been going to this location for years, I can't even recall how many visits we've made to this location. Today, we had a server issue when we had a slight order change, the sever got very abrupt and frustrated. Then yelled out "I'll get you another server", and ran off quickly. I'm not sure why she felt the need to raise her voice and turn a small request into a much larger issue. The worst part was it wasn't even a complicated order, pretty much it was just the same dish served the same way. The manager and second server were very friendly and professional, they apologized and helped to extinguish the situation. My advice to the server from the future, the server should have not said anything publicly in front of patrons and just talked with their team to switch out instead of making a scene. read more

Had their avocado toast special and was suppose to get poached eggs. Got close to hard boiled instead I put them to the side and ate the avocado toast so it wasn't too cold. I told the waitress and wanted to know if I wanted to replace them but my toast was almost eaten and they go over the toast. Serving size are huge. I tried the egg white scramble, half order of biscuits and gravy and the apple pancake. I liked the veggie egg white scramble the most. "Edward our waiter provided some delicious recommendations which we loved" says my daughter, Isabella. I love the cheddar covered hash browns and the girls finally tried them. Now they love them. Emma ventured out and tried some blueberry pancakes. They were awesome. We love the thick cut bacon here. The coffee comes with actual heavy cream and it is served in a thick walled cup that stays warm your entire meal. This place is very nice, not crowded on weekdays and slammed on the weekends, but that tells you it is in demand. In Orland Park there are many breakfast places, and this is a good one. This place is located just down the strip mall from a Panera ... so if you want a quickie, go to Panera and if you want a full breakfast, stop in here. We had blueberry pancakes (4 stars and could not have had more blueberries) and a simple scrambled eggs and bacon and pancakes (4 star done perfectly - ie. not too dry nor wet eggs, and the two pancakes were very nice with a touch of malt). All-in-all this was a nice visit and we will be back. read more

No frills decor. Very country kitchen looking but if you want a very unique huge specialty pancake this is is a must try. Service is generally good. The apple pancake here is the best. Other places try to copy but they just never tastes the same. Prices are high but the quantity is large. Many things can be shared between 2 people. This rating is strictly about the take-out service. I called in an order and was told "Give us about 15-20 minutes." Past experience told me to give them 25, which is what I did. When I got there I was told my order was "coming right up." 10 minutes later, still no food, but "it'll be right up" the hostess said. Or she may have been the manager. She said I could cash out, which is what I did. 10 minutes later, still no food. I voiced my displeasure to several people who seemed to care, but I still waited another 10 minutes before I got my order. Without an apology. I did a call ahead order, got there within the time frame, and stood there for an additional 25min before my order was brought out. The host was letting the manager know, which I overheard, and said that it was a call ahead order and it's been 50min now, the host responded "you can see how busy we are, it's not our fault". But 10min after I got there the same host said that they were just now bagging up the order. In that short time there, I've observed management being unwilling to support guests checking out while the host was seating them and other management talking down to their staff. Not only does this place not have the capacity to support carry out orders, they don't speak to their staff with respect and are unwilling to support their staff during super busy moments. Most places serve meat/eggs/potato and a side of pancakes or toast but I guess if you opt for buttermilk pancakes you don't get the potato pancake? At least this is what I was told when I asked.
