Came out way better than I expected and now my pups will have their own entry to go in and out of to stay out of the rain and the summer heat. Don't take my word for it take the business owners word for hit when he tells me like he may eventually tell you to "Go find someone else to repair your screens", he means it. Again the owner of this screen business told me to "Go find someone else to repair your screens" And whoever cares to read this should as well. How did we get to that point? A 6 minute phone call after his screen broke the first time I needed to remove it to install Christmas lights. Poor materials used. Owner of business was unreasonable in first believing the materials used could break or be broken easily. Wanted $150 to come out and replace them with the exact same cheap plastic material a convenience store would use to hang up a bag of gummy bears. Between the gouging price to repair his terrible work and his nonchalant demeanor he is tough to deal with and irritated the heck outta me.. only then he decided to reduce the price to $75 to repair something that broke the very first time I needed to take it off. Keeping in mind it was just 142 days after being installed and not touching it since installed I would have probably done the right thing instead he was standoffish, played the victim when he gouged us for faulty screens and will no doubt pretend like he was taking a high an honorable road during our interaction but as a person on the other end of the phone being told first his work and materials could never break, to then seeing the picture and saying "yes that's broken" to then offering a full price replacement based being 52 days past their 3 month warranty, to eventually offering a half price replacement the guy is a crook. Back your work up with a real warranty. 30 DAYS is a joke due to how little someone is probably using his screens. His last line to me sticks out as it was safe advice for anyone and came straight from his mouth. "Go find someone else to repair your screens" And you should. His arrogance believes no one will read this or care. That this line review won't hurt him enough to not have made it right by the customer. Please believe both him and me when we both say "Go find someone else to repair your screens" **update** For him it's 6 months but realistically 4.5 months, 142 days and it's December 1st. And yes I want a reasonable effort based on the upfront cost after a breakage on the first usage. As should anyone paying the overhead or trip fee they are charging. What a waste of time for both me and the company. The fact that they were already here and wouldn't even honor their quoted price over $20, I'll use a different company. We called several window companies to come and give a quote on fixing some work (done previously by NNX Construction) that was not completed properly during our second story build. Morgan came out. He was not the cheepest, nor the most expensive but he was the most honest. We explained that the front door was installed over a warped sub floor. He gave his opinion on how to fix it and also noted other issues (broken window frame and more) that he saw from the very unprofessional and poor quality workmanship of NNX Construction. So far he has replaced the window with a new one and his stucco guy Jorge did a great job of matching and re-stuccoing one side of the house. A garage door was also replaced and he did a great job replacing that. We are waiting on a door part to fix the front door but I'm sure he will surpass all expectations with this repair as well. If your getting a sliding door screen replaced you really can't beat the price for the value & service. I thought the regular swinging "front" screen door was a bit expensive at double the price of the sliding door. Morgan explains it was the price for aluminum that had made the doors so ridiculously expensive. So I guess it is what it is and at some point I'll have to bite the bullet and replace the the swinging door.
