We had Urias come to our home and give us a free estimate on our windows. He was very informative and polite. We asked the company back to install new windows and they were so fast and clean about it. It was only two workers including Urias and they got everything in place sooner than expected. During the installation of our front door, my small dog got out and was wandering the neighborhood for at least an hour. I went out calling and searching for him and Urias took a break from working to drive around the neighborhood and help me look! I ended up finding him but I loved that Urias wanted to help since it happened during his time in my home. We love the new windows, all my animals love people watching from them! We noticed that our bedroom slider and our dining room window were leaking pretty significantly during the last rain. We found BJ's Windows and Doors based on their Yelp reviews. Urias contacted me pretty quickly, and came out and took a look at the the slider and window and recommended recaulking. He showed me where the old caulking had cracked and left openings for the rain to get through into the interior of the openings. We scheduled for him to come back at noon on a Saturday. He showed up, after giving me a heads up, about 40 minutes late. He and his assistant got to work and finished in less than an hour. He showed me the work and explained their technique of putting a wide layer of clear silicone(I don't believe the old caulk was silicone)and sloping it so that rain would run off better. He said that in all the years he's being doing this, he's never had a customer call with any issues. With most projects, I get three estimates. To be honest, I went with Urias and BJ's without getting any other estimates. The cost was $250, which I was fine paying, but I don't know what other companies might charge. They bagged all of the shattered glass using a unique system of masking both sides of the shattered window. Most all of it fell neatly into a pile then simply bagged and removed.
