I had a beautiful solitaire set in a wider platinum band which continually showed scratches and dulling due to the nature of platinum. Every time I looked at the ring, it seemed the existing setting took away from the beauty of my diamond. After receiving quotes from 4 other sources, Daniel and his father provided me with two .5 carat diamonds to set on either side of my 1.5 carat diamond, set in a new white gold basket setting. They gave me a credit for my old setting. When I went in to get my new ring yesterday, I was simply stunned....I now have a SPECTACULAR ring that I will never tire of looking at. I also cashed in some old gold chains and earrings which helped further offset my cost. Everything...the planning, trading in, etc., was all done right in their shop. Daniel and his father took a diamond out of another ring for the ring I wanted to buy, and they told me it was a certain size. After taking the diamond out of the other ring, they weighed it and informed me that it was slightly smaller. The ring itself was beautiful as well.
