Orkin always seems to raise prices for their services and they never tell you when it's being raised. I have been an Orkin customer for over 15 years and not informing their customer of a price raise is not acceptable. I have been with Orkin for 1 year. I have no complaint with the technician or the service I have recieved. However you need to be very careful when dealing with there billing system. The first time I signed a contract with them for a specific amount of money. They change this amount with no warning no change of the contract This year my technician contacted the office and verified my monthly price. When I received the bill it was for more money. No explanation and the office is IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of anyone. There service is good there business ethics are nonexistent. If you use them watch every bill they send you. I found droppings in kitchen drawers from roof rats. Called Orkin. Original charge over $400.00. 1st time put traps under kitchen sink, behind stove and refrigerator snd around my mobile home. Appointment set for Monday the following week. No show. Called and appointment was set for Tuesday. I asked for someone to come out right away as had heard noise and movement under sink. There were 4 of them. Another trap was added in another cabinet. Following week rat in that one. Trap not replaced. I asked about spraying for insects as I was told 1st visit whole house inspected inside and out. Only focus kitchen. Asked about spraying. Advised wait until rodents under control by one person and another said not good around pets and I have dogs and cats. Last week another person came and I went outside to show him where a trap was and 2nd time a dead rat. The panel was slightly open. Just went out there and the panel has been removed and wide open for the rats. See picture below. It is Saturday afternoon. I called customer service number which the ad says open 7 days a week 24 hours a day and got a recording that they are closed and call back during business hours. No hours advised. I feel I have been taken advantage of. Plus just found rat droppings in my bathroom cabinet. They say full money back guarantee. I want that as well as the panel replaced. Service was fine - the low rating is for bait and switch on price. Had minor pest issue. Quoted a price for service with return trips until issue resolved and then for continual service through year. They solved pest issue - technician was good, no complaints there. Problem is their "quarterly charge" for year round service became "monthly" and was 3 times what I was quoted and my fault thinking the first charge on credit card was for full quarter so I got nailed 1/2 year what I was quoted for no service (since I cancelled as soon as I saw 2nd charge) read more

From the start of this experience to the day of treatment this team is ACES!!! Bill came to my house for the inspection and estimate. His inspection was very thorough. He gave me his cell number and said if I had any questions that I hadn't thought of to give him a call(which I did a couple of times). He told me what my wife and I had to do prior to treatment day so there were no surprises. Treatment day Three gentlemen showed up on time and ready to work. Orkin has been an awesome ally our war against bugs. We moved into a home that had been previously vacant for who knows how long. We had a roach problem as well as some seasonal bugs that continued to get in. Our specialist targeted where the issue was coming from (an old dog door leading to the side yard that happened to be wide open, letting all the roaches come in!) and sealed it up for us. We have had other issues (carpet Beatles, maggots in the backyard around a trash can, etc.) and most of the time they are able to come out same day at no extra charge! I Highly recommend this service if you're sick of dealing with bugs in your home! They also do as much or as little spray as you'd like, and tailor it to fit you and your families needs. Orkin did a good job with our termite problem which was found by our Orkin guy Joel on a regular visit outside the termite program. Adam and Randy then went into action to termite treatment. After termite tunnels were found, Adam who is a great guy came over and surveyed + inspected our home and found tunnels leading into the house in front and in back and identified a plan of action. Adam helped us with knowledgeable answers and we now know what to look for better in regards to subterranean termites in Arizona. Randall did the termite treatment which is lots of hard work to drill into the house, he was very good to remove the rocks from around the perimeter and replace them nicely, as well as matching the cement on the drill holes. A year later and so far so good with the termites. All three Orkin employees helped out in their respective areas and helped us out of worrying about termites. Thanks Joel for finding the problem and alerting us, Adam for being a great help mapping out the problem for treatment, and Randy for implementing the treatment plan which was a tough job. HORRIBLE. If I could leave 0 stars I absolutely would. When I signed up I had the greatest guy. I signed up In September and he sprayed sept and oct and then I was charged November but no one came. So I called and they explain I get charged $40 a month but they only come every other month. I said fine whatever. So I was schedule to have a spray December's 13th: no one came. So I called this morning they said someone came yesterday (12/21) I said no one came. I work from home so I would know. Apparently the guy knocked ( why wouldn't you ring a doorbell????) and no one answered and so he just sprayed my backyard??? ARE YOU SERIOUS. First off, I have 2 dogs. We hired Orkin to combat our cockroach problem. The service man is nice, but the spray they use does absolutely nothing for the cockroaches. I think we have more cockroaches now then we started. They offer to come out and spray again but since the spray itself doesn't work, what's the point. Our service man basically told us that we had to clear everything out of the closets and the cabinets in order for the spray to work. So basically, we just need to not have to live in our house. Our contract doesn't expire until March, and its just money down the drain. read more

DON'T USE THEM. They are overpriced and do poor work. They had to come back to fix the problems they caused and do the things they didn't even bother to do the first time. They definitely do not leave your home looking as if they had not been there as promised. Although they are nice people, the quality of work is not what it should be unfortunately. Orkin was extremely helpful and timely in treating the areas of our town home that had multiple black widows. Davon, the technician that came to our place called ahead of time and even came earlier than expected which was a plus considering we wanted those spiders gone ASAP! He was very helpful in creating a service that was best for our situation and saved us time and money in the long run.
