    Jerk chicken nachos
    Elena N.

I went to a game back on Tuesday, September 27th. I grabbed a bunch of food with the roommate while Peter L and Bobby L ventured off to grab their own dinner. Peter came back with Jerk chicken nachos and Bobby had Chicharrones with chili-lime salt. I believe this was around 8:15pm. The nachos were a good portion. The chicken was nice and smokey. The cheese was delicious! I love nacho cheese and this did not disappoint. You really get a lot of toppings on this dish. Good for sharing. The chicharrones were delicious as well. Who doesn't love fried pork?! There was a nice heat from the chili while the lime provided a citrusy contrast. I've never thought about visiting Orlando's Caribbean BBQ, so I'm glad my friends did. Nice option for nachos. And of course chicharrones!

I took my Dad to the game the other night and all I could think about what was what to eat during the game. It had been a long day and I was so hungry. We were running late, so I waited until about the 6th inning to get some food. I went to pick up my Crazy Crab sandwich to share with my Dad and needed a little something else to tide us overk those sandwiches are good but small. I walked over to the Orlando's Carribean BBQ because it seemed like one of the healthier choices. Then I ordered the Nachos. Laugh all you want, but these were actually some of the best nachos at the park. I've had the standard nachos, mijita nachos and tres agaves nachos and these were stacked for $10.00. Lots of chips, flavorful black beans, cheese, grilled jerk chicken and salsa. I asked them to top them with jalapenos and they hooked it up. It was a large sized portion for the price. http://goo.gl/y6vK7 I think if you are looking for a little something that's a ballpark favorite and not too mainstream, you should try Orlando's. We were very happy with the food and will be back at another game.

I have been here enough times and am finally getting a chance to write this review. First off, Orlando's Caribbean BBQ is located at one of the most beautiful ballparks in the United States, AT&T Park home of the San Francisco Giants. Secondly, if you get a chance to grab a bite here at least once I would say DO IT! I have always been a fan of the jerk nachos here because you get a heavy load, literally! The weight of the nachos is fairly hefty in comparison to other vendors in the ballpark. I would actually consider the nachos from here as being equal to that of a small meal. You get halfway into it and you think you're done and then you look down and realize you aren't even close. You definitely get your money's worth when you come here. Ballpark food is going to be expensive but if you are going to pay a lot for some food you might as well get something that is going to fill you up, hold you over, and enjoy with a BEER! When I take all that into account I cannot think of a better place than Orlando's Caribbean BBQ. #splurgejustalittle #livealittle

    Jerk chimichanga

We dined her at the recommendation of a friend, whose also an Elite Yelper. I shared with her that my husband was from the Bronx and makes jerk from scratch all the time. She said the jerk at Orlando's was awesome so we were eager to give it a try while enjoying the Yankees beat the Giants (he he). We ordered the cha cha bowl and the chimichanga. The bowl was a sore disappointment. The rice was not cooked in coconut milk and the black beans tasted canned (Caribbean restaurants make rice and peas...this was not traditional rice and peas to any degree). No thyme or other seasonings as is the norm in traditional Caribbean dishes. We had one piece of pineapple in our bowl, one. The meat tasted like it had been dusted or lightly seasoned, not marinated in wet jerk marinade. Generous shareable portion, but a zero on flavor. If you know Jamaican food, it's all about showcasing the layers of flavor. The chimichanga was good, really good, but not what I'd call Caribbean inspired either. The hot melted cheese, tender chicken breast (seemingly seasoned the same way as the cha cha bowl chicken), lightly crispy tortillas and the delicious salsa made it a really good chimichanga. Big portion so like the bowl completely shareable (in other words the bowl and the chimichanga is a lot of food for two but we didn't know any better lol). Love the concept but to call it Caribbean, the flavor bomb needs to be present.

I got the jerk chicken nachos, I was hyped to try them as I was looking for something different. I thought they were good, but not amazing. I thought it would be some of the best nachos I've ever tried, still better than most you can get at a sporting event. I think at the very least I would try at least another option in addition to the nachos.

Orlando's Cha Cha Bowl now at View Reserve 314 also!!

The start of a new baseball season at AT&T Park means different things to different people. Aside from the sport itself there is something I look forward to almost as much as the hometown Giants' return to action. Only during the baseball season can I enjoy a delicious Cha Cha Bowl from Orlando's. For those Cha Cha Bowl virgins out there, what it is is a generous portion of moist medium grain rice, simmered black beans, juicy and boneless grilled jerk chicken breast chunks topped off with a cool and delectable pineapple salsa featuring zucchini and carrot strips, cooked onion and delicious pineapple (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/y9Zwc68Gfkh4We5cR9YiSg?select=Un0_R88RUszY9lO1axJHPQ). Top it off with a bit of hot sauce if you wish. The hot rice, beans and chicken combination bonds well with the cold salsa. Delicious! What's better now is that Cha Cha Bowls are available up on the View Level just to the right of home plate. No more hiking down to the Orlando's behind the bleachers: we've got our very own Orlando's just steps away from my seats!

Can't beat a Cha Cha bowl
    Marty J.

Easily the best food at AT&T park. I always make the trek out to center field to get a Cha Cha bowl. 10.75 and it's a good sized portion of food. Think burrito bowl with jerk chicken and the amazing zucchini pineapple carrot salsa. I don't know how they cut the veggies into noodle shape but it's great. Portable and potent. Of course it needs a bit of chipotle jalapeño and BBQ sauce to go on to. I've tried the nachos which were delicious also just a little messier than the bowl.

my post season game cha cha bowl! let's go GIANTS
    Karen T.

My 1st Post Season Game Ever! My 1st Cha Cha Bowl Ever! Both was all good! Winning Game! and ok Cha Cha bowl was not a complete winner but it was A-OK. I don't get the hype of it, beans, rice, pineapple salsa, dry meat, but tasty bbq sauce. I asked for more rice and less beans. This lady sitting in front of me, I saw her bowl and it was VERY beany! I think the bbg sauce made it yummy. It was a very hearty bowl, worth the $10, I dind't finish all the beans and rice. I wish the meat was moist though but it was not at all. Oh FYI I got my bowl from the vendor up in the very top level of the stadium not where the huge coke bottle is located.

Cha cha bowl without rice / chicken was a bit dry
    Leslie S.

I had the Cha Cha Bowl - I had read such awesome reviews. My chicken looked good and there was a good amount of it but taste-wise, it was super dry. The cold shredded veggies served on top of the bowl were nothing special. Bland taste, no sauce. There were other pickled veggies that are served only with the nachos, they would have probably added flavors to the bowl... The beans at the bottom were OK. I'd get the nachos next time that my friend had, less healthy but tastier!

Normally when we have Spanish paella I'm dissapointed by the scarcity of seafood and the chewiness of undercooked rice, but OMG this paella was delicious. The rice was so flavorful and addictive and there was an endless amount of juicy chicken, tender fish, shrimp, calamari, mussels . We're normally done scavenging for the good stuff in a minute between the four of us , but we even had leftovers tonight which was awesome. We also really enjoyed the plantain appetizer, the plantains were cooked, so tender and sweet, but also had these nice crisp edges. Also loved the black bean puree it came with. Also ordered the cheese quesadillas which were awesome. The cheese tasted so good, I assume it was Oaxacan cheese, it didn't taste like a plain mozzarella quesadilla Warm spinach salad was surprisingly tasty as well ! Comes with a light creamy dressing that wasn't overpowering, and well flavored by the mushrooms. I even had them removed the bacon and it was still a very tasty dish. The ceviche while tasting fresh as far as the ingredients and being lime forward, it needed salt to really bring the flavors together. The tajin fried chicken was prepared well. I liked the fried plantains along with it for change of pace. It was a hearty meal, and the chicken was fried well. I liked how crunchy it stayed even after the meal. The sauce didn't really hit the mark though, was expecting more punch and citrus tho it had a decent kick. Having salt on the table as an option could've saved some things I think over the course of the meal. Just some missteps tho it seemed others had liked their meals. Would try other things and see.

My wife and I came over the holiday weekend as some of the other Jamaicans in the area recommended this spot to us. It wasn't too crowded and our food was fresh. We ordered the Beef Patty, Curry Chicken Patty and two Sorrel. This was probably one of the best beef patties I had in my life. Even comparable to Tastee Patty in Jamaica. The crust was puffy, filled with meat and had great flavor and seasonings. The Chicken Patty was also delicious and had great flavor. I wasn't expecting ground chicken to be used since every other time I've had a chicken patty, the meat isn't ground. It's a good alternative from a cost perspective however. The Sorrel left a bit to be desired. It had great flavor and I loved that I could taste the ginger. However, the drink had way too much sugar. I'm not sure if it is premixed but I had to dilute my drink with water just to get through it. It's possible that it is supposed to be diluted and I had a bad batch, so I'll try it again next time. Overall, the patties lived up to my expectations and I would return just for that.

4496 Broadway Oakland, CA 94611…read more The other day, I got a tip that the spareribs are really good at this restaurant. So I placed a pickup order thru Doordash, and used some credits I had on my account. I ordered for takeout: - Jerk Ribs w/ 3 sides - Sides= Rices & Peas (beans), Coleslaw, Mac 'n Cheese Now, it being Jamaican food, I was expecting something spicy or perhaps exotic flavors/spices. What I got was an order of BBQ spareribs. OMG, those ribs were "fall off the bone" tender. The rice and peas were tasty and moist. The coleslaw and mac 'n cheese were dry. I have ordered BBQ ribs from Everett & Jones, Flints, Famous Daves, and I made my own. These were good BBQ ribs with a mild sauce. Some of the other reviews state that the menu isn't 100% Jamaican food, and they are correct. Maybe it's Jamaican food and American soul food. Then BBQ ribs would be on the menu. If you're looking for Jamaican food, I guess it depends on what you order.

The food has suffered. It's still ok, but definitely not at the same level. I'm definitely gonna give this place 1 more try, but if it's the same as my last visit, I'm going to have to find a new spot for my Caribbean food. Will post again after I try it next.
