Couple of take out teriyaki salmon dinner boxes along with orders of sushi, sashimi, and rolls. They pack them pretty nicely.

Looks like their standards might be slipping. Ordered takeout through their website which was very simple. 15 minutes to pick up was exceptional. Packed nicely in paper bags. The Dallas didn't seem as fresh and crisp at it usually does. The miso soup was good. But the main course seemed lacking. Ordered a couple Bento boxes and the tempura seemed to have been over cooked. More crispy and greasy and the items inside lacking taste. Was disappointed in the white rice as it seems they may have switched to jasmine rice with it being too dry. Overall I would give the experience a three.

I really liked the sushi here. There was a good selection, and the sushi seemed really fresh. The sushi also had a good filling-to-rice ratio -- there was not a lot of rice, which I liked. The Super Dragon Roll was delicious, and the Mango Lobster Roll was good too (the lobster in it was tempura lobster, and the mango was sweet, juicy, and refreshing). Service was also great. The waitress was very friendly. Would definitely recommend and would love to return if I ever was back in the area.

    Pork fried rice... I think

This place was a favorite of mine for years. They have plummeted in food, service and ambiance. I went last week and thought it was rough night with staff call outs. The tables were dirty, they didn't know how to make a basic drink at the bar, the food came out weird... but I got take out tonight and it is officially confirmed as "down the tubes" for places to eat. I won't be back. :( The pictures here are supposed to be $27 Korean BBQ, $9 chicken tempura and pork fried rice. The Korean BBQ was mostly bones, the chicken tempura was two, two inch long pieces of chicken the width of a pencil in breading and mostly vegetable tempura and the pork fried rice smelled like seafood and tasted like old meat! I'm not sure this place's purpose is actually to be a restaurant anymore.

round bowl w/popcorn lobster roll, far right corner is the rainbow roll and left there's the Mexican roll with avocado and super crunch roll

I don't think I love another restaurant as much as I love this place. Everything is always fresh and tastes amazing. The staff and chefs are always welcoming and friendly, truly a place worth visiting if you love sushi and if you don't they always have hibachi which is entertaining all in its own. I have enjoyed getting to know everyone here. Thank you very much for many years of great food and many more to come.

receipt of them charging is 9 times for extra rice we didn't receive.

Food is good but service, man, not good. Just no good people skills, snappy and less accommodating.

This time we decided to get take out and eat at the house. We ordered online which was easy to navigate. We got pad Thai, Hong Kong noodles, two rolls and potstickers. They had a discount if you spent $60 you'll get 10% off. I went to pick up the food and it was ready when it say it would be. Inside was nicely decorated like the last time I been here. There was also plenty of seating. The host handed me the food and I was glad they separated the sushi from the hot food. We got home to eat dinner and I tried the pad Thai. I got level three and it was not spicy enough for me. Maybe next time I will get a 5. As far as the taste... there was no flavor and the noodles seem to a bit under cooked. I was expected that spicy, tamarin sour and sweet flavor that is normally in a Pad Thai but didn't get that. The potstickers and sushi were pretty good. Overall it was decent but could be better. Maybe it was an off day.

So much better than flushing, Manhattan or Brooklyn dim sum restaurants, can't compare. What a gem! The last time i have this quality of dim sum was in Toronto over 20 years ago. ( I think you can't find same quality dim sum even in Hong Kong now because they all use precooked dim sum. ) Pig blood not the best but good. Everything large portion good price. Salty yolk buns, the buns is not as good but the salty yolk fillings are excellent. Must try the 叉燒酥 cha siu pastry, 鹹水角 fried sticky rice dumplings? I'm not sure about the translation but it's the best fresh crispy outside melt into the mouth, 腸粉 rice rolls, 牛筋 beef tendons sooo good,牛柏葉 beef tripes so soft. I drove past it the first time, but the exterior is intriguing, with waterfalls and small ponds with koi fish out front that caught my attention on the second pass. The interior is large and classically decorated, the kind of dining room that was built to handle volume without feeling like a cafeteria. I noticed the koi fish out front have a quarter machine nearby that dispenses food, a small detail that tends to land well if you are visiting with kids. The overall setup is comfortable and well maintained, and the space gave the restaurant a presence that most Chinese restaurants in the area do not match. The dim sum is the main draw, and it is served until 3pm, so timing my visit accordingly was important. I ordered the har gow and shumai, both well executed and holding up against what I have found at comparable restaurants in Boston or New York. The chili oil is good and worth using liberally. The shrimp wonton noodle soup was a standout and worth ordering on its own. For those coming outside dim sum hours, the full menu covers a solid range of Cantonese dishes. I also tried the fried rice, salt and pepper squid, and chow fun, all of which performed well. The portions throughout were generous enough that ordering with a group and sharing made the most sense. On quieter days, the food quality is noticeably more consistent, which I experienced during my visit. For good dim sum in Connecticut and a Cantonese dining room that takes the food seriously, Oriental Bar and Grill is worth the effort of finding.
