I had requested a cozy spot not a table smack dab in the middle of the floor. We were seated at a banquette corner spot which was great. Interior is way smaller than I anticipated from seeing pics but is cozy. Our server, River, was friendly and informative. Food came out at a nice pace. This was EASILY the best meal I have had out in 10-15 years. Food was stellar. Each dish was unique, well seasoned, interesting, and balanced. Positively delicious. I am irritated I waited so long to come here. I don't live near Collingswood. Prix fixe tasting menus are typically not my first choice. My eyes missed the note on their site that ala carte is only available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I have dietary restrictions and I didn't think I was that hungry. My dining partner is an omnivore but I eat vegan part of the week. I am more a vegetarian leaning pescatarian. I do not eat offal, beef, or pork. I am allergic to beef. Tasting menus are typically problematic for me. This menu was so varied and perfectly proportioned. I had choices I was very happy with. We walked out satisfied but not grotesque. What we ordered- sicilian tuna - parsley, capers, calabrian chili, sourdough (supplemental $5) watermelon & stone fruit - mint-chili vinaigrette, fennel, stracciatella lumache - pancetta, charred corn, cherry tomato, soft egg risotto - zucchini, szechuan butter, pistachio, lemon honey Branzino to share - whole fish - tomato, black olive, fennel, burnt orange caramelized pâte feuilletée - yuzu, blackberry mint gelée, matcha crumb pâte à choux - craquelin, corn semifreddo, peach-jalapeño reduction Highly, highly recommend.

The four of us sat at the bar where Dawn (and her counterpart) took phenomenal care of us. It also seemed as if there were numerous regulars at the bar, all of whom were friendly and talkative, which added to the overall experience. We started off with drinks; Stoli Elit Martini, Hendrick's Martini, Blueberry Lemon Drop, and a glass of wine. The Blueberry Lemon Drop was really good especially if you enjoy sweeter drinks. I ended up switching to some kind of Maple(?) Fig Bourbon which was fantastic as well. The fried peppers they serve with the complmentary bread were out of this world. They actually convinced me to buy peppers at the store the next day so I could fry them myself. Prior to ordering dinner, we started with Caesar salads, which were dressed perfectly. We decided to split Crab Cakes for dinner which are served with green beans and mashed potatoes (as all of their entrees are). Let me tell you, these Crab Cakes were up there with the best I've ever had. They were big, packed with lump crab, and had a fantastic outer crust. We just got back from the Delaware/Maryland border and these were better than all of the crab cakes we had there. PSA: Make sure to get one, if not both, of Steak 38's table-side experiences. The Caesar salad and the Banana's Foster are both must orders. Atmosphere: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Value: 5/5

One of the best meals I've had. The service top notch as well. Our waiter Rob, was attentive and friendly and guided us through some decisions. The whole restaurant runs like a well oiled machine. Everyone assisting through the meal was attentive. We ordered snapper soup, wedge, strip steak, ribeye, creamed spinach and butter cake for dessert. They were all delicious and the preparation was impeccable. I would recommend any of them. For drinks we had my way old fashioned, millionaire Manhattan, and an espresso martini and they were excellent as well. The prices of everything was extremely reasonable in my opinion for what you get. We will definitely be back.

The restaurant was very busy on this Saturday night and I was glad to see them doing so well. Service was excellent all night long even with how busy they were. Our server stopped by several times to see how we were doing and so did the hostess/owner's wife. I would describe Wanda as elevated American and French influenced. We ordered the short rib, the chicken, and a fish special. All three dishes were excellent. However, the stand out was the chicken and the incredible sauce. They also served really delicious housemade bread. For dessert we had the bread pudding and the chocolate torte. The restaurant is very simple inside but still charming. There is downstairs seat or in the main room, balcony seating, and also a small private room for functions. Prices were in the $25-$40 range for entrées. The menu is diverse, but not overwhelming. They also serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday. We really enjoyed our meal there and would definitely go back. 4.5 Yelp stars.

The bartender made really great drinks so we were very pleased while waiting for our table. Once seated we were provided with water almost immediately and our server arrived shortly after. We put in our drink and appetizer order and then the amazing bread with peppers arrived (complimentary) and we were like two kids in a candy shop. I don't know what they do to those peppers but they're delicious ... and pair perfectly with what I call their pizza bread. Appetizer and drinks were superb and after putting in our entree orders they were placed in front of us in under 20 minutes - fresh, hot and delicious! Neither of us could finish the entrees so we asked for to go containers ... and we certainly gobbled the leftovers up the following day. Oh and there's complimentary valet parking (just tip the valets) which makes for a stress free entrance and exit from the busy parking lot. Giumarellos never disappoints and it was no different this time.

This is the return of the original Chubby's that longtime locals remember from nearby (1933 by Joseph "Chubby" Stafford), and it absolutely lives up to the legacy. The food is classic steakhouse done right--excellent cuts, cooked perfectly, with that old-school steakhouse flavor you just don't find everywhere anymore. Everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered. Service was outstanding as well: attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they're doing, which really elevates the whole experience. If you were a fan of the original Chubby's, you'll feel right at home. And if you're new, this is easily one of the better steakhouses in the area. Welcome back, Chubby's--you were missed.

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

Let me start with the service...while our waiter was friendly she was not attentive to our table after taking the order. We noticed all the other tables had bread and we were sitting for 45 minutes after ordering our meals and did not get bread or even a refill or drinks or water. We got the attention of our server and asked for bread. 20 more minutes and she brought small basket with 5 pieces of bread (for a table of six waiting over an hour now). We asked for more and 10 minutes went by, so we asked again assuming they forgot. We were told it's in the oven. Finally, another small basket of 5 slices shows up in another 10 minutes. After 90 minutes our apps arrived. Seafood chowder was ok at best, raw clams were tasty, salads and dressings were very good. Our meals came soon after, but total wait from when we sat was 2 hours. Steaks were very good, salmon was average at best, seafood pasta was ok, halibut special was decent. Overall, the entrees were forgettable. We ordered desserts which were surprisingly fantastic. The rice pudding, crem brûlée, and their cheesecake/ice cream were all delicious. Now back to the service....by the time we finished dessert, not one water glass was refilled and the table wasn't bussed. We piled our empty appetizers and salad plates at the end of the table and they remained there the entire meal. I know many people had great experiences but this is a definite one and done as everyone in our party agreed.
