I am very picky about teriyaki especially if it is super fatty and chewy. This is perfect! I have been here four times and not one bite was too chewy. The chicken is well cooked as is the rice. My only negative is that extra sauce costs 50 cents for a tiny container but I haven't really needed the extra sauce but I just love teriyaki sauce. Solid teriyaki gets an extra star thanks to good, fast take out service. I like their sauce - it's not as over-the-top sweet as many places and seems to be a bit more complex than just sugar and soya. I do get the impression that the chicken isn't marinated - just coated and grilled - which is too bad but so it goes with teriyaki. Either way, a reasonably cheap, fast, and tasty lunch destination, with portions big enough to cover dinner if you're most people. read more

They recently changed ownership. Despite retaining the same employees and effort. The proportion aren't as generous as it used to be. They over sauced certain items and I got soggy rice. The sushi rolls are finger sized thick and awkwardly cut. I gave it 4 attempts, but I think I won't be going back again. 3 stars for the effort, but it's not the same Osaka grill. read more

I dropped in for a to go order of chicken teriyaki. It was good! Generous chicken portion and surprisingly tender and moist. Not too salty and not smothered in teriyaki sauce either ... though they provide a small container of sauce on the side if that's your preference. The atmosphere is somewhat dreary, but it's mostly because staff are being efficient. I got my order in less than 5 mins, even with orders before me. I'll definitely come back here, especially for quick take out on the way home. read more

We went back a second time. It was not as good as our first visit. We ordered the same food, but this time there was WAY too much sesame oil in the Yakisoba. It tasted like sesame yakisoba, not chicken yaki. Take out food is hard... By the time you get it home, it is too late... And it is too much of a pain to go back to have it fixed. I am disappointed with the inconsistencies, but overall they are nice, clean, and I like the Christian music they have playing in the background. Maybe we will be back, but we will try some other Teriyaki restaurants first. read more

Osaka grill has the BEST teriyaki. I eat a lot of teriyaki and have eaten at a ton of different restaurants all over western Washington. They are up there with the best there are in western Washington. With teriyaki it's all about the sauce, and theirs is amazing! Not too sweet/salty and tastes great. Meat is never gristly either. geez. i do not understand why some teriyaki places feel the need to pour a soup of sauce in the bottom of the box. it is highly annoying when it leaks out and gets all inside the bag, but even more frustrating is when the chicken is cooked to beyond dry. i ate 1/3 of the portion and the roof of my mouth is sore and cut up from chewing burned and dry chicken. im sorry but bathing your overcooked crappy chicken scrap ends in sauce does not fix that it. also tried the yakisoba. they used fresh vegetables and the noodles were good, but after cooking the chicken into leather they must have ran the whole dish through the Flavor Extractor because this was just bland. (note: i didnt finish the food and am still hungry) PS: after writing this i got to be thinking "it cant be that bad" so i went back to taste some of the leftovers. . . it was. also, the teriyaki sauce is terrible read more

I love Osaka!! The teriyaki chicken breast is my favorite, but they make great sweet and sour chicken too (I ask for extra meat and I think it's like $2 extra). They're teriyaki is grilled so it has that nice smokey taste that I love. The chicken katsu is good too, as well as their spring rolls (those are a little greasy tho). The dressing on their salad is a homemade creamy sesame dressing and you can buy it for $6 a bottle. Awesome!! If you bring back the bottle clean, they will give you a refill for only $5. I love having salad at home with their dressing!! A small salad, side of soy sauce, and rice (you can also ask for brown rice) comes with every entree. The food is fast and if you call in an order it's always ready for pick-up in 10-15 minutes, and the woman who answers the phone and stands at the counter is as sweet as could be. This place is small with a relaxing ambience and has a fast take out service. I come here all the time because the chicken is well cooked and delicious with no mystery meats! The prices are low and the food is cooked with a nice marinade. Each dish is tasty whether you get spicy chicken or fresh veggies. It's a great place for a quick office lunch and the salads are good as sides. The food is not greasy or oily and you can order more then just chicken. The Mongolian beef has a good reputation and is packed full of flavor. The service is great as well and everyone is friendly and accommodating. read more

My 1st and last visit was last night. I ordered 2 meals to go. 45 minute wait. 4 customers came in after me and were served 1st...they were eating there. Should be 1st come 1st served. Heard 2 other customers with orders to go complaining as well. Salad came with a ONE OUNCE cup of dressing. Meal came with ONE OUNCE of soy sauce. They have a container at the counter where you can buy an extra ounce for 25 cents but if you eat there you will find a bottle of soy sauce on each table. Doesn't make much sense. Have been eating at Osaka Grill for at least 6 years and it has had a couple owner changes in that time but the quality of the food was consistently good enough to keep coming back. But, WOW! The current owners are doing it right and the Chef is producing some excellent variations on the typical Teriyaki menu fare; every meal! Its all good but try the Mongolian Beef, the current chef makes it like meat-candy, yum! We now eat here at least 2 times a week! If they would just add traditional Chinese BBQ spare-ribs to their menu; I would be in Heaven! read more

When Tokyo Stop on 132nd and 35th went out of business I had to find a place that measured up. After several tries in the Mill Creek area I stumbled upon Osaka while in the vicinity. This place is the best around. I usually only get the chicken teriyaki so haven't tasted many other items, but it is top notch. Most importantly, no fatty chicken and a flavorful territory sauce.
