We came here for Easter Sunday lunch with the family and what a great pick it was! The weather was absolutely perfect, nice and sunny, and we got seated out on the patio which was awesome because it's dog friendly and we had our little frenchie with us. The view of the duck pond was so pretty and the space itself is super roomy which I loved. We ordered a bunch of stuff and here's the breakdown: Ahi Poke Bowl 4/5- Big portion, I was totally stuffed. The ahi tuna was good but I've definitely had better. The sauce leaned a little sweet for my taste. BBQ Wings 5/5- So good! Well coated in sauce and the skin was perfectly crispy! Calamari 5/5- One of the highlights for sure. Light and crispy batter, cooked just right. We all loved this one! Tri Tip Sandwich 5/5- Mom approved and that says it all! The portion was huge and she even had leftovers to take home. Thai Me Down Drink 5/5- Thai tea plus ube?? Yes please! I'm a big fan of both so putting them together was such a good call. Mushroom Pizza 4/5- Could have used more mushrooms but the pizza and crust were cooked perfectly so still a solid order. Service 5/5- Our server was super attentive, checked on us regularly, and was just really nice overall. Overall such a great spot and we'll definitely be back!

I finally came down to check this spot out because my friend likes to come here. The hostess both were great, so friendly and welcoming. We were sat right away outside (which was our preference) and the view overlooking the duck pond was awesome. We each ordered a beer and both our selections were great, she's an IPA girl and I'm more of a sour/cider fan. My friend ordered the Caesar wrap because it's her favorite but I wanted something hot and opted for the chicken sandwich. I had to say it wasn't the best sandwich, was dry and for the price was absolutely not worth it. ($22) The wrap looked great and I would try that or many other menu options next time. The service wasn't amazing but it could be a one off situation so I'd come back and give it another shot.

Who remembers Pat & Oscar's/ Oscar's / O's American Kitchen? It all disappeared and rebranded into Oscar Brewing Company which is the last one standing in Southern CA and the legacy lives on with their famous breadsticks. They got rid of the arcade room and made it into a bar and seating for 21 and up. This place gets packed! We waited 20 minutes and received a text when ready. Has a huge indoor and outdoor with a beautiful lake. They serve beer, wine, cocktails, non alcoholic. Margarita flights and beer flights. I got the margarita flight using CaliFino Tequila (you have to go to their tasting room in Carlsbad). OBC also has their own original drinks. We ordered family style to share among 4 adults and 2 teenagers for their birthdays. OBC gave out complimentary OBC chocolate chunk cookie with vanilla ice cream with a candle. -Breadsticks - a must -Greek salad -Margherita pizza -Buffalo wings -Spicy soy garlic wings -Buffalo chicken fries -Chicken nachos w chicken on the side -Truffle fries -half chicken, 2 breadsticks, side salad Combo Other than the wait time (kitchen and bar was backed up), the food was delicious. My favorite was the truffle fries. There's a bakery window you could stand to watch them make bread. Will have to come back to get their focaccia bread. The patio is dog friendly. Be sure to ask if extra items like ranch or marinara sauce is an extra charge. Other reviews said they got charged, we didn't.

The Seasonal Fruit Crumble with Brown Sugar with the Salted Dark Chocolate Gelato was amazing. Warm crumble, cool gelato, was amazing. Enough to share, unless you want to be a glutton. . Typical brewery bar scene, good people listening (I travel for work, and sometimes you just hear about the going one in an area). Ordered an Ice Tea to drink which the bartender had to get from the kitchen but he brought a pitcher and was really nice about it. Also followed up and was polite in conversation with myself and other guests.

Visited OBC again on Sunday afternoon after going downtown and finding out there was a huge wait to eat at a place there. We walked into OBC and there was no wait to sit inside. Score! Love this place because of all the space and the views. Private rooms available to have parties too. Parking is plentiful. Our server was so sweet and made sure to check in on us often. We ordered a bottle of prosecco, which was $52 and then it cost a few dollars to get 3 juices. Would love for them to have an unlimited mimosa option. The brunch menu had lots of great choices and prices were reasonable. We did order the avocado toast from the brunch menu, and then we ordered a burger with truffle fries ($5 extra for truffle fries), and a chicken Caesar wrap and that comes with a side salad. The food was excellent. Avo toast had lots of goat cheese and micro greens. The burger was fresh and cooked well. The chicken caesar wrap was delicious especially with an extra side of dressing on the side. Its such a great place for groups on just 2 people, the vibes are fun and casual.

The food here and drinks were amazing. I make salmon and risotto all this time and coming here the salmon and risotto was cooked perfectly. Also, the wake up call, drink was amazing. It was essentially an espresso martini, but in slushy form and it was very strong, but tasted great. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food, as well as as I went with some coworkers. The service could have been a little better with being more attentive as they missed silverware at the table and we were waiting to get that to start our meal. I would definitely be back here to try more things on the menu, especially the drinks.

A longtime friend and I met here halfway between our houses - we had lots of catching up to do. We notified our server, Amy, that we might be there awhile. So was so sweet and kind, made us laugh and told us to take our time. We will definitely be coming back, food was good too and the ambiance was great. Thank you Amy for making our reunion visit soooo memorable.

Great overall experience. The patio overlooks a big pond with beautiful trees. Patio was packed with customers and we got great service. Food speaks for itself. The bread is out of this world.

I really enjoyed this brewery. It's pretty big and spacious. They have a bakery inside! where they make their own bread. We had to try the giant pretzel, freshly made. I got the lemon chicken wrap and it was really good! The regular and sweet potato fries were really good and we loved how the waitress asked us if we liked dipping them in anything. Their ranch was so good! The waitress was so kind and friendly which we appreciate a lot. My husband liked the beers he got and really enjoyed our time there overall. If we're back in the area, we'd return

OBC is one of my guilty pleasures. Do I need copious amounts of bread? No. Do I WANT their delicious breadsticks? Maybe a dozen? YES. I've been here a handful of times and I'm never disappointed. I'm generally only disappointed with the lack of how many breadsticks I can destroy in a few minutes. I also enjoy ordering their Caesar Salad or their hamburgers. They have a wide arrange of beers to choose from, and the servers always have great input about their menu. It's a super friendly environment and family-friendly. The restaurant overlooks the pond. Highly suggest their bread, if you couldn't tell, and I'd recommend sitting outside for the lovely views with the brews!

Cathy T.

Great dog friendly restaurant! location is near a duck pond so you can take your dog out while you wait to get seated. We waited about 30-40 minutes to get seated, drinks were delicious & server was attentive. We got the Margherita Pizza & a side of fries. Overall nice area, with great view!

Little Nicky Pizza and Bulgogi Fries
Heather S.

We had such a great experience here! We ordered the Little Nicky pizza and it was so good! perfectly spicy and packed with flavor. The pizza itself is a great size too, easily enough to share between 2 or even 3 people. We also shared the bulgogi fries, and wow! absolutely amazing. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful, and the kimchi on top added the perfect crunchy, tangy kick that tied everything together. One thing I really appreciated was their non-alcoholic drink selection. They offer NA beers and wines, which is such a nice and thoughtful option and not something you see everywhere. Great food, great flavors, and something for everyone. We'll definitely be back!

OBC Tri Tip
Ann B.

First time customers. Food was good, I didn't enjoy it like I thought because there was an insect buried in my salad. Manager said since I was outdoors it must have fly and landed on my plate, mind you the insect was dead. He didn't apologize just said it probably flew on it even though it was wingless. Customer service in general was 5-10.

The girls at the front were welcoming, our server was amazing (and I'm still mad at myself for forgetting her name), and then there was Chris, the manager. He and the entire team were incredibly attentive without being overbearing--a rare talent these days! Now let's talk about the food. I had the bison burger and wow. It wasn't trying to be fancy or complicated, it was just really, really good. The smoky applewood bacon was the perfect touch and took it to another level. And that Old Fashioned? Smoky, delicious, and dangerous because it goes down way too easy. The atmosphere was lively, fun, and the kind of place where you look around and immediately know you're going to have a good time. Great food, great drinks, and a staff that genuinely seems to care. Chris, if you're reading this, keep the hair. It's working.

Brunch lasts until 2pm and then from 2pm to 245pm they serve only appetizers. Lmao. Thats certainly interesting. Aesthetically this place is gorgeous. I love that they are dog friendly and it wasnt too hot today at the patio. I got the bloody mary to start and it was pretty good. The bacon in it was amazing, however, it didnt taste like 2 shots. The drink was thick but the flavor was still good. I got avocado toast with smoked salmon. This very small meal was 20$. I got a lox bagel and 4 huge pieces of smoked salmon with capers and a side of avocado a few days ago in Vegas on the strip and that was 16$. Sooooooo... how is this justifiable? Anyways, I also ordered a diet coke and they came out with a mini can. Talk about why this place is called "small" barn. Lol! The server stated the can is super small bc its only 2$. Thats just silly. Just get the bigger can and charge me 3 bucks for it. Thats fair in my humble opinion. 4$ for two mini cans is wonky to me. Alas, these are not the reasons why this place originally got a 2 star from me. It was the tomatoes on my avocado toast. They taste spoiled, old, and mushy. It made my stomach hurt a bit. As for the salmon, it tasted like it smelled, funky. Why i ended up giving this place a 3 instead of 2 stars? Bc their creme brulee was the BEST creme brulee I've ever had. It was so luscious, creamy, and it felt like these are the kinds of desserts GODS eat! It was amazing! My server was friendly and talkative with me up until the end. She said "have a good day" in an oddly, irritated way when I paid with my card. Oh wells. Ill come here for the desserts! And perhaps ill give other things a try

The minute you walked in, the ambiance just wasn't it. Perhaps because we were the only minorities there and everyone else wasn't (including the staff) but it was uncomfortable having people stare at us while we were eating and having our own conversations. Someone came to get our drink order and then it took a bit of time for our actual waiter Leila to come take our order. She did mention she was doing something else. we ordered the steak and frites and their pork chop which was the special of the day. I ordered my steak medium rare and the rest of the table ordered it in medium. When the steaks came out, the waiters seem confused as if they weren't sure which plates went where and when asked if that's a medium rare steak, they stated yes. That steak was medium and it was also dry and under seasoned. It was also tough and chewy. The fries were either undercooked or overcooked. Chimichurri sauce had no flavor to it. We did also order the cedar salad which was delicious. Their calamari and wings were as well. At the end of the night, Leila asked our friend how he liked his steak because it didn't seem like he ate anything. He said it was okay and she kept insisting you can be honest and kept pushing the matter. This was extremely uncomfortable because there was no need to make him feel like he was put on the spot. while I understand the need to want feedback, if your guest says it's okay and seem uncomfortable, maybe leave it at that. She then came over to me and asked about my steak and again saying, "you can be honest." Why wouldn't I be? I did tell her the steak was cooked incorrectly, that was not a medium steak and pointed out that it was dry. There was this awkward silence at the table because honestly there wasn't a need to keep pushing. Simply asking how was it would have suffice. They did end up comping my steak which was nice of them however the entire experience just wasn't pleasant. From the ambiance, to the crowd, to the food - wasn't worth it.
