Oscar's is a must-stop after a big day hiking or canyoneering around Zion. Delicious food, huge portions to fill up the tank, fun atmostphere, good service. Burgers and Mexican food so there's something for everyone. It's a no-brainer! Spicy chicken sandwich is always so good - perfectly grilled chicken breast with green chilies, jalapenos, melted monterey jack, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, with a huge serving of fries. My husband likes the blue bacon burger (1/2 pound garlic burger!). They also have a turkey or black bean burger, and any of them can be made gluten-free. Huge salads, enchiladas, burritos, breakfast (which I've never tried but would like to!) They also have a kid's menu not listed on the website and it's very family-friendly. It can get crowded but they are good at getting you seated right away. Sit in the covered patio or inside. Park on the street or in the two lots in the back. We love Oscar's! Lots of food in a fairly affordable price right outside Zion National Park. I highly recommend driving here, because the food options at the park are terrible. The nachos were fresh and loaded with cheese, jalapeños, corn, and beans. I highly recommended the brownie for dessert which is loaded with ice cream and nuts. This was one of the few spots that was open on a cold Monday night in early December and it was very close to our hotel so we decided to try it out. We didn't regret eating here at all. The chips and salsa was really good, I think they use blue corn. It was sooo good that we ended up taking it back to our room to snack on later for a night of drinking. We shared the pork chops and that was probably the most flavorful pork chops I've ever had. The food here was so good that we dove right in and forgot to take a picture! Lastly, the service was amazing. Our server was super friendly and even though they were about to close, we didn't feel rushed at all. We had hotel vouchers to have breakfast at this place so we ate at Oscar's Cafe four mornings in a row. Absolutely delicious breakfast! Their huevos rancheros with pork can feed two people (or just one who is ready to take a long strenuous hike afterwards). They also have combos with huevos and pancakes, or waffles or french toasts if you like a combination of sweet and savory. Most seating is outside, but it's covered and they have great heaters, so it's very comfortable. Our waitress Melissa was delightful and always coming back to give us some more hot coffee. Service here is fast and food is fantastic! We will be back if we come back to Zion. read more

Went to Oscar's Cafe for dinner and breakfast the next morning. The breakfast is what really stood out to me. A lot of breakfast places do similar breakfast foods but the way this place prepared the food was so delicious! We ordered the Belgian waffle combo, the French toast combo and the Country French Omelette. This place seems like it can get very busy but we were here during off season so we were sat down fairly quickly. Food came out in a timely manner and our server was very attentive. Sean, our waiter, was incredibly patient with the group of loud young women sitting close to us and who were so loud they were making any kind of conversation on our table near impossible. Great skill to have them be pleased but at the same time wait our table and 2 close to us without losing his sense of humor or patience. The food: excellent pork enchilada, excellent pork tamales. The pork was so tender with nice roasted bits to it, shredded in big chunks and with green chili sauce. Again, excellent! The guacamole had too many raw onions in it for my taste. The white wine margarita was interesting but not quite my taste. The ambiance, except for the group of 6-7 extremely loud ladies, was pleasant and laid-back. Definitely a place I would recommend. Our food was also fast and served to us without a long wait since we were so famished after a long hike. This was a great choice and recommendation from our Airbnb host!! Everything was huge here. The beer mug, my mucho nacho and even the sweet potatoes and French fries cut. Goes well with hungry tummies!! Plenty of choices from burgers, sandwiches, fish tacos and burritos as well as their salad and there are vegan options as well. It was a satisfying meal and a great service when it needed to count the most. We ate all of our meals(2 breakfast and 2 dinners) here and all of them were absolutely awesome. We had huevos rancheros, Belgian waffles, Popeyes omelette for breakfast. And for dinner we tried cod tacos, enchiladas, tamales and portobello Salad. All of them were really nice only small issues such as the cod was so crispy that it might have left some scabs in my mouth but i am not complaining since i happen to like crispy. And the tamales were a little on dry side. But overall really good menu, good food and good vegetarian options too. read more

Oscar's is located right off the main street that leads up to Zion. We decided to come here thinking that it wouldn't be crowded but we were wrong! It was the popular place to be for dinner. The wait didn't end up being too long and we were seated on their front patio which was quite refreshing. I was not a fan of having to pay for chips and salsa but alas, we did and added some guacamole as well. It's worth it because they're bottomless and the chips were tasty. The salsa and guac were good but very chunky. Each meal comes with a dinner salad which is a nice touch but it's drenched in dressing. I would have rather had free chips. Our selections were the Chile Verde burrito and the Shrimp Tacos. We both agreed that for Utah they were an 8, but back home in So Cal they would have been a 5. It came with rice and beans as well as a salad which was nice. I wish the meat was a bit softer Bc some parts were a bit too dry but overall yummy! Oscar's was our first stop on our trip to Zion. We arrived around 1pm on Saturday, and the place was packed! We were lucky enough to snag a table, but there was a wait by the time we left. We were seated at an outdoor table with misters, which were pretty necessary, as it was definitely the hottest day of our trip! The service was a bit slow, but our waitress was kind enough to remove the chips and salsa from our bill due to the wait--unnecessary but very thoughtful! Bottomless chips and salsa were pretty good--the salsa certainly has a kick! I would recommend the Portabella Avocado salad for a light, but filling lunch. It was all downhill from there . The chicken enchilada had no flavor and tasted like cardboard. Fish tacos tasted like the enchilada. The sangria had zero alcohol it so it was basically juice.
