    Cheeseburger

Very vintage style place to get an affordable bite to eat. The outdoor seating is lovely especially when the weather is great. The service was great, they were patient when I took forever to get a good look at the menu before ordering and the worker was very polite. Now let's get to the food. I had the shake of the month for September 2025: peanut butter Oreo which was delicious, great consistency, good peanut butter ratio and there was bits of oreos in every sip if that's your jam. The cheeseburger was simple, the prices are reasonable I feel, and there's an additional cost for toppings like lettuce and tomato. I wasn't the biggest fan of the meat but at least it was not too costly, it was still enjoyable. I would like to return to try some more items and especially get my hands on some of their many flavors.

I stopped by just for the flavor of the day: peanut butter fudge royale and it did not disappoint! The frozen custard was thick, rich, and perfectly creamy. We asked for it in a cone placed on a dish, and when you flipped it upside down, it didn't even budge--that's how thick it was! The flavor was spot on, and the texture was amazing. Plus, the price is about half of what Kopps charges, so it's great quality at a super reasonable price. Definitely worth stopping by!

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this location considering how often we stop here. We absolutely love this place compared to other local custard places in the area. The absolute best value AND quality. How can you beat that? The flame broiled burgers always smell great and we'll grab food here from time to time. Aside from most of the traditional toppings costing more, this is still a solid burger. But, the big highlights are the fries and onion rings. Perfectly crispy! Sad I didn't snap a picture before we ate it all. They usually staff well and the group tries to get orders out as quick as possible. We stuck around to have some custard afterwards. Must try their waffle cone - made in house and that paired with good-sized portions of custard is the absolute best!

This place was a delight to find on vacation and stopping in Milwaukee! Tried their turtle sundae and it was delicious!

Food and service exceeded expectations I visited during Friday lunch. The staff were busting their humps working feverishly. There was noone in line in front of me and it took a while to be attended to but the cashier was knowledgeable and pleasant. Order was fulfilled much quicker than expected Grilled chicken sandwich bigger than expected. Bun lettuce tomato fresh. Only critique is too much mayo. Next time I will request EZ mayo Chocolate malt hit the spot. Creamy flavorful. Size was perfect

Every time we visit family in Wisconsin we have to get Oscar's at some point. This frozen custard is royalty amongst all frozen custard. It is so light and super creamy. The homemade waffle cones are wonderful with any flavor. Each day has a different Flavor of the Day custard. If you were also hungry I would suggest keeping it simple with a cheeseburger or grilled cheese for the vegetarians. Their cheese fries are a must and if you are an onion ring fan I highly recommend getting an order as well. You really can't go wrong here!

There was no one in there. We were the only customers. Very talkative guy. We didn't know what to expect so we took a minute reviewing the menu. We went ahead and ordered two turkey sandwiches. Options for bread are white wheat or rye. Other than that, we were only asked if mayo, lettuce and tomato were OK. Gus is very friendly saying we are going to love it!!! So we sat down the sandwiches came out freshly done. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in building his sandwiches. My boyfriend really enjoyed his sandwich. It's exactly what he was looking for. For my personal review I wouldn't really say this is my favorite. It was just regular white bread stacked high with three slices of cheese, a ton of lettuce and a stack of turkey. Way too big for me. I would've preferred sourdough bread maybe some pickles and toasted? Maybe some avocado and other add on options so that you can build your sandwich..... And of course a lighter sandwich. I definitely had to take the other half to go, but I wasn't really impressed. To be quite honest i could have just made a regular sandwich at home just like this. There wasn't anything special. I wouldn't spend my money on something that I could make at home. For any of those that enjoy just basic sandwiches like this i would say this should be your to go spot to help support the owners. Hours are short so you have to make sure you make your way early. Again, I'm not taking away from the fact that this is a great lunch spot and the owners deserve all the praise and business. You can tell they genuinely care. There is plenty of seating in here. Also, while other comments were made, Gus, definitely thanks you for your business quite a few times too.

But once you know where it is, it's easy to find and worth it. I went in during lunch one day and it was quiet. The hours are limited, as they close early afternoon. I had a great conversation with the owners and cook, Gus, and his lovely wife behind the counter. I ordered the lamb gyro plate with the french fries - and Gus said, you can get fries anywhere, try my rice! And so he served up the rice and asked me to try it right then and there. I asked for my feta on the side, and again he was insistent I try it then. The portions are gigantic - it was enough for at least 2 meals. We talked about his background in ethnic cooking. I was impressed they opened up around the time Covid-19 was raging and they've managed to stay in business despite opening up during a difficult time. The food was good, the portions are generous, making it a good value for the money, I enjoyed meeting the proprietors, and I'm looking forward to returning and trying out some of his soups and other lunch items.

I saw a picture of their breakfast burrito on social media and made plans to stop the next day. In addition to the breakfast burrito, which came with a side of hash browns, I ordered cheddar broccoli soup and was gifted a brownie for visiting. The breakfast burrito is build your own with a bunch of different options for meats, cheese, and veggies. I went with bacon, American cheese, and spinach and wasn't disappointed. The burrito was hefty and every one of the ingredients stood out. This is something I would definitely come back for. The three hash brown patties tasted as you'd expect and I appreciate that they weren't cold in the middle or bland. You can definitely notice the freshness in the soup. It was thick and used actual florets of broccoli, not just the stalks. Given the size of the burrito I had just eaten, though, I wish there was an option for a smaller portion of soup. The bowl was large and if you just plan on having that as a meal it's fine, but I would have preferred buying a cup as compared to a large bowl. Hopefully that's something they consider as a menu tweak. I'm not a big brownie person, but I enjoyed it. Like the burrito and the soup, it was a sizable portion, so worth the price if you're buying one. I'd be interested in trying their lemon bar or coffee cake on a future visit as those are more up my alley. I enjoyed talking to the woman who was prepping the dining area while I was there. She mentioned that Senor Luna's next door is their sister location and that Miss Daisy's has such early hours (currently 5am during the week) so as to cater to the nearby business park. I appreciate the early hours because I can easily make it there and back over to where I work in plenty of time.

A lot of local sandwich spots aren't open after 4pm or so on Fridays (more of a lunch thing). But, I kinda dig an end of the week grab and go situation. Jersey Mike's was somehow off our radar. I had been to one, one time a few years back in Chicago. But, that's it. So, we recently decided to change that on a recent Friday evening and I'm so glad we did. We popped in here for dinner and I'm decidedly a fan of their subs. They have three sizes and have both hot and cold sub. I opted for a cold sub, which was great with everything from the bread to the toppings tasting fresh and fabulous, but would definitely give one of their hot ones a try as well! It's your basic sandwich shop inside (ie: fine to eat there on the fly but you're not missing anything by taking your subs to go). The service was fast and friendly and the prices were reasonable. Get to it!

Jumping to 1975, a 17-year-old employee named Peter purchased the shop with a loan from his football coach (also a local banker). Since then, Peter has expanded to more than 2,800 locations and is still the CEO. Long story short, I almost always go with a cheese steak whenever I go to a sub shop. Jersey Mike's offers a few different cheese steak options, but I went with the Big Kahuna. The term comes from the Hawaiian word kahuna, which means "priest" or "healer". Big Kahuna is typically used today as an informal idiom that refers to the most important thing or person in a group, like the boss (or in this case, boss of the subs). The Big Kahuna sub comes with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapenos, and extra white American cheese. Jalapenos are a love it or hate it topping. I side with the haters, so I ordered my sub without them. My sub had some weight to it and was also bursting with the amount of filing. The savory slices of steak, heaps of peppers/onions, and mound of melty white American cheese dominated the sandwich with the mushrooms being much less prevalent. I'm a true Wisconsinite in the sense that I can never have enough cheese and add it to many of the foods I eat. That being said, I was satisfied with the amount of cheese on this delicious sub. The miniscule amount of mushrooms aside, the Big Kahuna is Doughboy approved. Doughboy_Food_Reviews
