There was a short wait before being seated. I choose the luncheon special which came with soup and appetizer. The service definin slow. There are only a few waitresses. I ordered two dishes and they were both disappointing. They were bland, flavorless. The authentic Thai seasoning we're missing. I order a chicken dish from the luncheon menu.,It was chicken breast over rice. There were sauces , but it was rice and chicken which lacked seasoning. I order a chicken Larb to go. It was not good. It was all 10/10. Food, 10; Service, 10; Ambiance, 10. We ordered some things we hadn't tried and we were very happy with our choices. The appetizers, mushroom and shrimp donut, were great. The mushrooms were perfectly fried and had a wonderful crunch. The shrimp don't was bouncy and you could tell the shrimp was fresh. I highly recommend you ask for the chili oil because that makes everything better. We couldn't get enough of our main dishes either. My dad actually cleaned his plate. He said it was too good to take home and he loved the flavor. My mom and I couldn't finish ours but she was super happy with the drunken noodles. She'd never had those and really liked how they absorbed the sauce. And I was perfectly happy with my garlic pepper beef. Our server was great and got us extra chili oil when we asked because IT IS SOOOOO GOOD! It's smoky with just a warming heat. Perfection! I haven't had a bad meal at either location, NUA or OSHA. Great food and service - we went for HRW which I think ended up costing more than if we ordered individually, but I'm not upset because I had a great time. Would definitely go again. Overall, not bad but not outstandingly amazing. Plenty of parking and service are friendly. Good space inside with plenty of seats and seats at the bar. Thai tea was too sweet for my liking but I was still able to drink it. Chicken pad Thai with medium spice had enough kick but not too much. They should have included more bean sprouts - I felt like such a cheap ingredient should be more. With that being said, chicken pad Thai was still a slight of a disappointment, it was too watered down. Another table got tofu pad Thai and looked less watered down but water still presented on the plate. Tiger eye (steak) and I opt for sticky rice instead of Jasmin rice, was quite good. I would recommend if you're coming here. The two sauces that it comes with tasted the same to me. Chicken satay (chicken skewer marinated in curry) was good as an appetizers and comes with 3 skewers. This place is kinda pricey but I guess that's what you pay for Thai food on Westheimer. We had a larger group so they put a couple tables together for us. Our whole party wasn't there yet (hence empty chairs) but they kept asking if we were ready to order and we just repeatedly replied we were waiting on the rest of our group...kind of got annoying. I got the pad Thai and it was pretty good. The chicken was cut up into huge chunks (not bite size) and they didn't give enough peanuts or bean sprouts. I would come back to try the curries. The drinks were fantastic, as well as the mango sticky rice dessert, and pad Thai with chicken. However, the boat noodle soup was a huge let down, because it just lacked that tangy/spicy taste. Quite watered down. Level 2 spice was almost level zero. Would need to try level three and four. The fried shrimp doughnuts were...fried. The papaya salad was also missing that heat. I visited this new Thai restaurant in a recently revitalized shopping center and it's actually pretty good. The decor is pretty interesting, and I sat under the ropes course looking area. I was surprised to see my go-to dish (Pad kra pow) on their featured section of their menu, as it's usually not highlighted and just a regular dish at most all other Thai restaurants. I also tried the papaya salad and the chicken wings. Even though I accidentally ordered the wrong dish for one of my 3 dishes, it still turned out to be pretty good. My server was pretty good for the most part, but left for a long time when it came time to pay, so it was a little unclear how or where to pay. read more

The calamari (8/10) was the highlight: generous portion with both rings and tentacles, plus great dipping sauces. Pineapple fried rice (7/10) came loaded with protein, but leaned too heavy on curry and light on rice. The Bao Mee OSHA (6.5/10) had decent flavor but felt like an upscale instant ramen, with a broth that ran salty. Pad see ew (6/10) had good spice and wide noodles, though the tofu was soft rather than fried. Drinks and dessert were fine--the tea (6/10) was decent, and the mango was refreshing. I'm not an expert on Thai cuisine, so full disclosure, my review is based on whether I liked the food, not based on authenticity. Given my limited Thai palate and low threshold for spicy foods, my order usually consists of tiger cry, pad thai, and maybe a mild curry. Tonight we ordered 2 of the 3 plus the chicken larb. The combo pad thai (5/5) was a generous portion and the meats + shrimp were cooked perfectly. Great balance on the sauce - could have used more crushed peanuts but that's just personal preference. The chicken larb was also rated a 5/5 from someone who orders larb at every place that has it, but I myself did not try it. So why only a 4 rating? Unfortunately the tiger cry (0/5) was inedible. It looked beautiful on the plate and the cook (medium) was perfect. But the meat was so gristly/sinewy that neither of us could chew through it. We both had to spit it out. I spent a good 5 minutes trying to chew through this thing and it wouldn't give. The service was very good though (5/5) as when we explained to the waiter, he immediately apologized, said he'd comp us and let the manager know. The manager came and let us know that they usually order the same cut of meat and she agreed this wasn't it because she tried a piece herself. She apologized and said she'd get with the supplier to see what may have gone wrong. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, and despite the tiger cry mishap we are definitely willing to go again and give it another go because the other food was good and the tiger cry situation was handled appropriately. I went here for the first time this week after hearing about them almost a year ago. I went twice in three days ordering the Panang Curry with chicken, medium spicy the first and Red Curry with chicken, medium spicy the second. Both very delicious, aromatic, herby, kind of sweet and nicely complexed with hunks of succulent chicken. The Panang Curry here might be the best one I ever had along with Thai Stellar and deceased Thai Gourmet. I would even say out of the 3 it was # 1. It wasn't the typical yellowish one, which is very good, but a more browner version similar to the one Thai Gourmet used to have, but this one was a bit richer with less peanut butter vibes. They tasted somewhat similar which was awesome too. The bell peppers n basil were great in it. They both added extra depth, while the peppers also added bite with the protein. The Red Curry was also a winner and one of the best red curries I ever had. The gravy was a bit spicier than the first one I wrote on and kind of sweet, but not as sweet as the Panang. The peppers were nicely crunchy and the coconut milk flavor was spot-on. I also liked the little green eggplant pieces in it much more than the small purple ones some places use. The green ones were smoother in taste with less bitterness. Service was very welcoming, attentive, friendly and efficient here. I can add Osha with Nua and Thai Stellar as my top 3 in TX. Always looking for some good thai food, found myself near this restaurant tucked in the corner of the WOW shopping center, thought I'd give it a try. started with the tomyum soup, bold strong flavor, a bit too sweet, but fine if eaten with some white rice. After that came the pad thai and the first thing that I noticed was that it was sweeter than the sweet soup, it was barely eatible due to the sweetness. Unfortunately the panag curry and pad kaprow were just as sweet and ruined what could have been a good meal. I'd say they need to eliminate at least 75% of the sweetness for it to be edible. Personally would not go again, unless sweet is your thing. read more

Came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch around 11:50am with my friend. This location is brand new and very trendy looking (it's in the Ranch 99, Teso, & Lady M shopping center). It was not crowded. We were seated right away. The 2 waitresses were friendly and attentive. The food here was pretty good. We order Tom Yum soap. It looks like you're eating out of hot pot 4/5 stars $16.95. In addition, we order the lunch special chicken pad thai 4/5 $13.95. It comes with a soup. Last but not least Crab Fried Rice 5/5 stars $26.95. This was so delicious and my favorite of all. This was a solid thai spot that is very well decorated and had great food presentation! Service was also very fast, and they were very nice. My friend and I ordered the thai papaya salad, tom kha soup, and tiger cry steak. We enjoyed all of the dishes, but we also didn't think any of them were the best that we've ever had. The papaya salad was just okay -- we ordered it at the thai spicy spice level, but found that it still lacked a bit in terms of spice. I also prefer my papaya salad with more lime. The tom kha soup was delicious -- the chicken was so tender, it felt more like the texture of fish! The flavors were also very prominent, but towards the end it ended up getting a bit too salty. The tiger cry steak was also delicious! It was cooked perfectly, and the crying tiger sauce was a delicious pairing. I think portion wise, it was just a bit on the smaller side. Osha Thai is the best Thai food in town! I've been searching for a new Thai spot to replace my former favorite, Thai Gourmet, and this place is it. The Pad Thai is very tangy and flavorful. I recommend ordering extra bean sprouts if you want more crisp texture with the noodles. The crab fried rice is a bit expensive, but the amount of crab you get makes it worth it. They serve it with a side of fish sauce; I suggest pouring it all over and mixing it in well. It was delicious. For the green curry, you must add extra bamboo shoots! The red curry, which a server suggested, was just okay and nothing special. We had everything at the "extra Thai hot" spice level. It was definitely spicy, but a good kind of spicy! I got the red curry from DoorDash so I can only speak for the food. It was a good balanced curry (not too sweet, not too soapy, good spices coming through) which is hard for me to find. I ordered "hot" because they only had three spice levels so I thought it couldn't be too overwhelming and I was correct, good medium spice level. My favorite part was that the tofu was not deep fried or seemingly fried at all. As much as I love my deep fried tofu, it worked and I was grateful for a healthier meal. read more

The food was good. Overall, we were quite satisfied with the quality of the dishes. However, there was one aspect of the experience that made us uncomfortable. While cleaning the table next to us, a staff member wiped all the food scraps directly onto the floor, and then used the same cloth to clean the chairs. This practice felt unhygienic and negatively impacted our dining experience. We hope the restaurant can pay more attention to their cleaning procedures and hygiene standards. With some improvement in this area, this would be a place we'd gladly recommend. read more

Went for Houston Restaurant Week. Everything on HRW is on the regular menu. Food came out hot and very flavorful. Service was great. Someone was always checking on us or refilling water glasses. First time here with some friends. We ordered various starters such as the Crispy Chicken Skin - original Thai street food seasoned crispy chicken skin served with sweet chili sauce. Crispy and crunchy. The Fried Enoki Mushrooms - lightly tempura batter fried Enoki mushroom. Served with sweet chili sauce which was delicious. We also ordered the Roti Curry which was ok. Not crispy or fluffy at all. The Grilled Calamari - grilled whole calamari. Served with spicy lime dressing was tender. We ordered the Steamed Mussels and Fresh Oysters, both good. For the main courses we ordered Pad See Ew - hand cut flat noodle, fresh farm egg, Chinese broccoli in sweet soy sauce with beef (no bean sprouts) which was my favorite. Along with Pad Woon Sen - glass noodle stir fry with fresh farm egg, cabbage, tomato, onion, carrot and green onion. The Tom Yum Soup Large - creamy tom yum in hot pot, onion, tomato, cilantro, shrimp, chicken and mushroom was delicious. Also the Beef Num Tok was good. Also, the Panang Curry - bell pepper, kaffir lime, coconut milk and Thai Papaya Salad - green papaya, dry shrimp, garlic, Thai chili, tomato, carrot, green bean, with Thai lime vinaigrette were decent. We also got the Mango Sticky Rice. I think only the curry came with rice so you do have to order that separately which costs $2 a bowel. Service was good. They were pretty busy for a Monday evening.
