LOVE Oswego Grill! In my opinion, this is the best happy hour spot in the Beaverton area hands down. They offer an afternoon happy hour from 4-6pm and a late night happy hour from 9pm-close (10pm) The people who really make it happen though are the kitchen and waitstaff. The food is always great, and despite the late night happy hour that I'm sure feels like hell when you have a bar area full of people that decided to come in 15 minutes to close with no discernible clue as to what they want, they still provide kind and attentive service to EVERYONE. I called ahead to make a reservation for 7 on the exact day for a birthday celebration that night. The employee on the phone was very nice and accommodating. The Oswego grill is in the cedar hills shopping center. This is a popular spot among my family and I'm glad I finally got the chance to try it! The restaurant looks sleek inside and out. Inside, the atmosphere is classy, fancy, with dim lighting and the servers dressed professionally. We were seated after a few moments of waiting. The table had our menus and waters already set. Our family took a while to choose but our waitress was happy to attend to us. I ordered a lavender cosmo and a shot of vodka. Our waitress informed us that they have a policy of 1 drink per person. I ordered the Oswego Alfredo with blacken chicken, per my waitress recommendation. After a bit, we finally got served. I really did enjoy my food and the blackened chicken did do the dish justice. After the meal, we got a free ice cream sundae as dessert for the birthday! Our waitress was very attentive and gave us to go boxes for our meal. Gratuity was also included in our check and are able to charge 3 separate cards. Everyone in the family enjoyed the meal. It was very nice! read more

Our visit took place around noon on a Thursday. The house was packed, but we were seated within five minutes. Ambiance was bright and airy, lodge-like, with a variety of seating options. Our booth was in an alcove, which I appreciated, as it was incredibly noisy. Staff were attentive and professional, if stretched a bit thin. Their interactions with each other were positive and smooth, with spontaneous smiles. No tension, but also no goofing around. Food: when it was good, it was very very good. Flavors were all excellent. Highlights: actual anchovy and garlic in the Caesar dressing, with scrumptious fresh croutons. Grilled asparagus was cooked perfectly; I wanted another plate of them. French fries were fried on the darker side (blond fries are bland fries). Salt-and-pepper squid appetizer was very flavorful, and the aioli seemed legit. (Many places call garlic mayo "aioli" and it grinds my gears.) My husband said his pot pie was really delicious. Negatives: the fried items were completely soggy. The calamari breading was mostly intact, but wet on the bottom, and not remotely crisp. Fries that came out later were dark, which we love, and a couple were mildly crispy, but the pile as a whole were soft. (Soft fries! I shake my head.) They weren't greasy but they seem to have steamed somehow while waiting for pickup. We would have asked our server to replace them, but we saw her infrequently and the food took a while to arrive; it would not have been worth our time to ask for replacement. Likewise, the BBQ burger was described as "tasty", but it was heavily sauced and one cloth napkin was not enough. We did not catch a server to get paper napkins before our teenager inhaled it, but it looked like a murder scene for a few minutes. My mashed potatoes were flavorful and tasted of potato, not just cream. The sirloin tips were on the tough side (they often can be) but the cabernet reduction was not too salty. The mushrooms were excellent: fresh, clean, properly cut into French wedges. Thinly sliced mushrooms in a strong sauce can taste of nothing, but these were a legitimate presence and I loved them. Drinks: the lavender drop was delicious, fresh, on the sweet side. The blood orange mojito was also fresh, but utterly unsweetened; unusual for a mojito. The lemonade seemed fresh and balanced -- really good. We all agreed that the food was delicious (even the un-crisp fried items) and we would happily return. read more

This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Beaverton... and there are plentiful options, just for context. Parking is easy, the staff is extremely friendly, and it feels like a very sophisticated atmosphere despite being very accessible to people from all walks of life. The menu is diverse to accommodate different taste preferences and the portions are very generous. Prices are fair for the market. It appears that you can make reservations, which I have never done, and I'm definitely intrigued by the option to try their Sunday brunch one time. I hardly ever leave reviews but feel the need to warn others about our experience. My two stars are purely for our server Taylor. He was great, however the food was bland and overpriced. the cabernet steak tips were bland and gravy-like, not very tender, and the chicken marsala tasted like it had the same sauce. Calamari was soggy, tasted frozen. My espresso martini was overly sweet and tasted like it had no alcohol for such a high price. Overall I would not return. Spend your money elsewhere, to me this is comparable to Applebee's at double the price. read more

OG was along our route home and we are familiar with their sister restaurant (Copper River) so we stopped. Easy seating in the bar and we quickly had menus in our hand. Except for the location and waitstaff, all the Oswego Grills are pretty much the same. Menu too. However, the menu is fairly varied and has something for everyone. We sat out in the dog-friendly patio since it was a nice sunny day and had the entire area to ourselves. It was just too bad it overlooked a parking lot. Our waiter came out and took our drink order and gave us menus to browse. I was sure he was going to forget about us out there but he didn't. My husband is a creature of habit and got the Grilled Salmon Power Bowl again ($18.99): roasted sweet potatoes, fresh avocado, candied walnuts, blueberries, mango, peach quinoa and kale with a tangy lemon vinaigrette. I tried a different salad this time, the Chopped Salad ($16.99): crisp greens tossed with grilled chicken, smoked bacon, salami, garbanzo beans, sun dried blueberries, provolone, mozzarella, shredded Parmesan, pepperoncini and tomatoes in a champagne vinaigrette. It was a lot of salad and I ended up not finishing it at the table. Some nice croutons or a slice of toasted French bread would have been nice to have on the side. Like the restaurant in Lake Oswego, the Beaverton location is also ADA accessible and easy to navigate via wheelchair/walker. All dishes served are prepared from scratch and use the freshest local and seasonal ingredients. It defitiely shows. read more

Service was fantastic--our server was super attentive and even surprised me with a cocktail based on my Georgia driver's license (a nice touch!). We were celebrating my daughter's High School graduation tonight which I mentioned in a note on our reservation. Fausto was our server and was great! I messed up the name of my order and they caught it, came back to verify, which was so appreciated. The food was great, we got the Alfredo and barbecue bacon cheeseburger The burger was cooked to the perfect temp and the garlic aoli compliments the bbq sauce so well. It arrived quickly and Fausto was attentive by checking in for refills and asking how the meal was. At the end we declined dessert and Fausto insisted on bringing something to celebrate the occasion. As a former server we were thinking maybe a small scoop ice cream with maybe whip cream. Not only did they bring out the most beautiful banana split, the staff had signed and decorated a card. (insert proud mom tears here and complete shock) I believe it was the manager who dropped off the dessert and card and also shared their congrats. I can't say thank you enough to everyone who made that moment so special for us. I know how challenging the restaurant industry can be, those few moments you took out of your day truly was the topping on such a joyous day. It's a decent casual dining spot where you can certainly find reliably good food, but only if you order the right things from the menu. The chicken tenders, with or without Cajun or other seasoning, are truly delicious and the dipping causes really elevate them. The burgers, sandwiches, and pasta also tend to be solid. But other dishes sometimes fall flat, like braised short ribs I ordered off a seasonal menu which had an oddly bitter wine sauce. Our waitress was very friendly, helped us pick a 3rd appetizer and was quick to grab us more drinks and boxes before we left. The drinks were delicious. I would definitely recommend going there just for that. Moderately priced too. It seems like a lot of places charge 14+ for a cocktails anymore. We had two each and three appetizers and it was under 90. The nachos were delicious with the bits of radish and pickled onion for some extra crunch. Seared ahi was good alone, but that dipping sauce was so light and made it even better. The calamari was not what I was expecting at all, but it was my favorite of the three we tried last night. Our first visit to Oswego Grill and we weren't disappointed! The atmosphere was prototypical Northwest - a modern craftsman/lodge w/ open beams, comfortable seating, warm feeling, and had great acoustics for easy conversation. The menu selections were outstanding, something for everyone; appetizers, steak, chicken, pasta, salads, bowls, burgers, sandwiches, grill specialties, and of course desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth. The service was excellent, Juan was our server, he was friendly, welcoming, helpful, funny, and attentive. I ordered the Westwood Pasta (delicious w/blackened chicken) and my wife ordered the Grilled Salmon Harvest Bowl (delectable). We didn't have room for dessert but the options sounded mouth watering!
