Beautiful site, convenient to post movie meal. However I have numerous complaints. The service was incredibly slow, especially with very few customers in the store. I ordered a small Caesar and while it was huge there was more dressing than lettuce...the dressing was also very tart. I also ordered a Detroit deep dish cheese pizza, small again. It was huge but burned to a crisp. It took some digging to get to soft dough. I expressed my concern to the waitress who blew it off to being melted cheese. I brought the remaining pieces home (I only got part of one piece eaten) to see if maybe microwaving it would soften it a bit. Nope. I called the Yarmouth Otto as they have always been reliable and delicious. I needed the phone # as it is nowhere to be found on Google. She was most helpful but the number she had was generic and did not identify as an OTTO phone #. I have always had high ratings for OTTO, but tonight changed and I'm not sure what happened. Our usual fantastic service was very slow. We never had a drink order taken, had to wait quite a while for the waitress to come back for a food and drink order. Apps: meatballs and an order of knots and two Caesar salads. They were out of knots. Drinks: out of soda. Pizza- out of basil so no margherita pizza. Once the order was placed we were then told they were out of meatballs. We were happy with the cheese pizza and mashed potato pizza. Luckily the food quality of what we were able to get was still good. Very disappointing that they were out of so much. Was in the area vacationing, and wanted a take-out pizza to go. After looking at several pizza places, and decided on Otto's. We were not disappointed. It was a good thin crust pizza. It wasn't overcooked (some thin crusts get too blackened for my wife and I), and the pepperoni and green peppers and onions were just right...especially the veggies; cooked but not overcooked. All other locations are great but just had second bad experience with Saco. Ordered a large cheese to go for about $17. I was told 20 minutes and got there in about 15. I live 3 miles from this location. Got home with pizza and it was stone cold. It seemed like it was made an hour ago and left under a heat lamp. First bad experience was same with slices. I will stick to other locations in the future. read more

Visiting from NJ. One of the best pizzas I have ever had. I wish there was more OTTO chains by me. Thinner pizza but cooked well done & throughout which is a huge plus for me with thinner pizza. I'm rather tiny & not a huge eater but, I ate an entire pie to myself LOL. read more

I had the Margarita pizza (personal) and fries. The pizza was, I'm sorry to say, the definition of tasteless, bland and ludicrously uninspired; I would have gladly taken any (and I do stress ANY) frozen and reheated pizza over this one. They do make a spectacle of the playing and setting...it is a bit trendy and there are accoutrements, but any individual accustom to any other in the tri-state area, Chicago or any real brick oven pizzeria will find it flat out Criminal to charge 13 bucks for a personal pizza. My meal alone was 25$ for the equivalent of 3 normal sized slices and a side of fries ($7, $7 whole..US...DOLLARS). The fries, while good, were the literal definition of price gouging. The staff was great and the service was quick (hence the two stars) but for how much they charge I'd call it closer to extortion than family dining. read more

Otto's is my favorite pizza place. I've been to all of their locations. The new one in Saco is very nice. It's open & offers plenty of seating. The bar is great to sit at & have a slice and a drink. The mashed potato & bacon is delicious! The crust is perfectly done and not to be wasted. The meatball appetizer is excellent. It would be great on a pizza too. Newly added to the menu are the fries with dipping sauces to choose from. You won't leave hungry that's for sure. read more

My family loves the Otto franchise so we were happy to see one open on Saco, a little closer to our home. Slices are only offered at the bar, which is different from their other locations. That was a bummer. The big thing was the beer pricing. We paid $8 for a 12 oz. pour of Lunch IPA where almost every place in greater Portland is charging $7-$8 for a 16 oz. pour. Hopefully they'll adjust that. They've only been open for four days so we'll go back soon to give it a second shot. read more

We waited about an hour for our pizzas even though except for us and another family the place was empty. It was obvious they prioritized deliveries over people who came to sit at the restaurant. The pizzas themselves were very bland and tasteless. When we received the bill we discovered that we were charged for large size pizzas for the kids, even though we ordered the kids size. The super friendly waitress said it would be no problem at all to adjust the price as the terminology for the kids and small sizes can be confusing, but later another person approached us and said it was not possible to change the bill at this stage, only if we would have let them know at the beginning. We did not know if the pizza size we received is what we ordered. We were hungry and did not arrive with a measuring tape. We will not be returning to any Otto restaurants in the future. read more

The most overpriced average pizza you could be sucked in to spending your money on. Rather have Michaels pizza or Alex pizza. I'm into good tasting food without the hoopla and high price personally. Called to place a to-go order this evening at 5:40 and was told 15-20 min. Thought it would be super convenient, being attached to the movie theater we had purchased tickets to for a 7 pm showing; plenty of time to eat, get the kids situated with snacks and be in our seats for previews. We arrived at 6:05, 25 minutes after we ordered, and we're told that it would still be ten minutes. No problem, we had time and patience. The hostess was sweet and apologetic. At 6:30 still no pizza and was told it would be another 10-15 minutes. I can be patient in understanding that it's tourist season in Maine and this area is no exception. People upon people kept piling in for pick up order, and while I was discussing with another patron how long we had waited I was rudely called a Karen by one of your staff that "came in to help." I kept my cool, even though I should have clapped back at the counter troll, considering I was trying to keep the other woman from coming across the counter. The lack of customer service from that employee is while we will never spend another dime at Otto. I can be understanding, just like the next person, but 1 hour and 7 minutes waiting for pizzas that we're never made until I asked a manager how much longer is simply unacceptable. Almost missed the beginning of our movie because we waited for an hour and seven minutes for food that wasn't even prepared. Save yourself the trip read more

Lately Otto has gotten very stingy with the toppings. I've found this to be the case at both the Cottage Road and the John Roberts Road locations. The last pizza I got from them was the large spinach, peppadew pepper, goat cheese and herb. The peppers were just thin slivers. There were hardly any and I could barely taste them. The toppings left about three inches of bare crust except for a few pieces of spinach here and there. That's a lot of empty bread. Very disappointing. read more
